Marvel's Spiderman remastered running on (Desktop) Vega 8

I think it's the heavier game I tried, running at 768p with IGTI Quality, I recorded the screen with my phone because recording the screen the performance was really bad, looks a bit better than 720p native, r3 3200g and 16gb 3200MHz dual channel

I'm happy that it run good

The difference in performance between Waydroid and any Windows emulator is awesome

https://preview.redd.it/38b014q9g3fh1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=7f17cc66e7020606af39dbe113b4a4fa01aaf885

It's not a really demanding game, but playing at 1080p max settings, having the same FPS in windows using LDPlayer9, but in windows I had to play in 900p, and to not have anything else open, the emulator itself used 8GB RAM and 100% of CPU, now I have other apps opened and the processor usage is 40-60% and ram usage is 8-9GB, I can leave waydroid or any game opened in the background and my potato still run smoothly

Open worlds with a lot of freedom without/optional combat? If it's possible, physics based

This, I like BoTW, WD2, Red Faction, etc, but what I did the less in these were fight with weapons directly, so maybe there's a game that doesn't focus on that, and allows you to play chill

Is there a minimal posibility to play ToTK in my PC?

Hi! I've been playing Zelda BoTW in CEMU (Wii U emulator) in my PC (Ryzen 3 3200g, vega 8, 16gb), I'll add the benchmark later

I was thinking if the sequel could run in my PC, since ToTK is not for the Wii U, I'd have to emulate switch, which requires at least 6 cores (My CPU has 4) and a dedicated graphic card, like 1050 or better (minimum) and I have an integrated with the performance of a 1030

How imposible would it be? I have never emulated Switch, if I can get 30 fps I'm happy

Something like Zelda Breath of the wild or Tears of the Kingdom but for PC?

Title, something like garrys mod but with more story and 'context'(?)

How can I put a steam game in the apps menu (GNOME)

I added a .exe as a non-steam game to make it work with proton, but I don't know how to put it in the app menu to open it from there, there's an option in stram to create a shortcut in desktop but it doesn't work

I created it using commands with Gemini yesterday, but it's not working anymore

Is there a way to open android apps as of they were "normal" apps?

Edit: I found this https://youtu.be/sf3q3kPzpyY?si=3VJca9X65MTSBCFa It seems to be literally what I want

Edit 2: Ok got it, I had to use "waydroid settings" to enable to open apps in a floating tab, and a few commands to start a "silent waydroid" when starting the PC, and having the android apps as any other app (In my apps menu and opening in a floating tab)

Body text (old): I'm gonna switch to Linux and one of the things I want to do, is to open android apps/games natively, without using an emulator and having a "phone screen" in my screen etc.

I know I can use Android apps without emulating using waydroid, but in the videos I've seen, it literally looks like a phone and there you open/install your apps

I'd like to have both native windows/Linux apps (as usual) and along with them, Android apps/games, that **when opened, a window with that app runs as if it were any other.**

Is there any distro or something that would allow me to do this?

Which are the heroes with the highest mobility?

I'm a MLBB and Hok player, I want to try LoL but afaik LoL is slower in any sense than MLBB, longest matches, incluiding slower heroes/skills, I want something to move faster, no matter difficulty, preferibly jungler

To do a comparison, these are my favorite characters:

Fanny (Mlbb) cables with 0 CD to fly around the map in seconds
Joy (Mlbb) five dashes, mov. speed increase, anti-sloww/CC
Jing (Hok) uses "mirrors" or reflections to move around the map switching positions

Radeon Vega 8 performance list (Ryzen 3 3200g)

This is a list of the games I played on my PC, I will update it as I play more games, if you have any doubt about some specific game, feel free to ask.

UPDATE 17/5/26: Switched to linux (CachyOS) so I'm gonna add benchmarks with this OS and not windows, the performance can be the same, worse or better than windows depending on the game, I'll try to specify

My components:

Ryzen 3 3200g (No OC)
Vega 8 iGPU (2GB of VRAM assigned)
16GB DDR4 2933MHz (2x8)
SSD Sata 460MB/s

Most of the games listed here, use 100% of the GPU but not the 100% of the CPU, even less than 10GB of the ram, so even if you have a worse processor or less ram but a similar/better GPU, most of the games will run anyways (if not the case, I'll specify)

Similar GPUs performance (estimation based on online benchmarks, take with caution) (Laptop Vega 8 / Vega 7 / Vega 11)

  • Laptop Vega 8 (e.g., Ryzen 5 3500U / 3700U): Expect 15% to 25% lower performance. You'll get around 40 fps on the games where I get 60, or play in a lower resolution (like 1080p > 900p, 900p > 720p)

  • Vega 7 (e.g., Ryzen 5 5600G / 5500U): Expect 10% to 20% better performance than my list.

  • Vega 11 (e.g., Ryzen 5 3400G / 2400G): Expect 15% to 20% better performance than my 3200G.

(Old) I use windows 11, don't have major optimizations than reducing the boot programs

I currently use CachyOS (GNOME) 7.0.9-1

Also, I play with V-SYNC or the FPS capped at 60 because that's my refresh rate, some games could have more than 60

WINDOWS 11 GAMES:

  • Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag - 1080p default preset (Medium I guess), 40-60fps

  • Battlefield: Bad Company 2 - 1080p max, 60fps

  • Call of Duty: Black OPS II - 1080p max, 60fps

  • DayZ - 900p low/medium, high textures, 40-50fps (Note: High ram usage, 16gb required probably)

  • Dishonored - 1080p high, FXAA, 60fps

  • Euro Truck Simulator 2 - 1080p medium/high, 40-50fps

  • Factorio - 1080p default settings, 60fps (Note: it can use a lot of ram)

  • Far Cry 3 - 1080p high, ultra textures, PostFX medium, 50-60fps (Note: Tried with everything on ultra, I had like 45fps stables but some crashes, I guess is something with the postprocess effects)

  • Far Cry 4 - 900p low, high textures 40-60fps

  • Five Nights at Freddy's 1, 2, 3, 4, SL, FFPS, UCN, Into the pit - 1080p 60fps

  • GTA III, VC, SA, VCS, LCS, CTW, Manhunt 1 & 2, Bully - 1080p max, 60fps

  • GTA Vice City: Nextgen Edition - 900p high, medium shadows, night shadows off, 60fps

  • GTA IV vanilla - 900p medium, 30-50fps, a bit of stuttering

  • GTA IV with fusionFIX + DXVK Async + Project 2DFX - 900p high, medium shadows, night shadows off, 30-50fps, no stuttering / 1080p low same performance

  • GTA V Legacy (Launch version) - 900p medium/high 50-60fps, 1080p medium same performance

  • GTA Trilogy DE - 900p low on VC-SA, 30fps, low/medium on III, 30fps

  • Hades - 1080p max, 60FPS

  • Hades II - 1080p high, 60fps (Note: this game can use a lot of ram, +10GB)

  • Just Cause 2 - 1080p max, antialiasing x4, 60fps

  • Mafia II (Original) - 1080p high, APEX PhysiX off, 60fps

  • Metro 2033 Redux - 1080p high, 50fps, ultra, 30fps

  • Minecraft: Bedrock edition - Resolution scale 75%, 30 chunks, 40-60fps

  • Minecraft: Java edition (SKlauncher) + fabulously optimized modpack + MakeUp ultra fast shaders, low preset with shadows - 1080p, 10 chunks, 30-50fps, stuttering when loading the world (Note: high ram usage)

  • Mirror's Edge - 1080p max, antialiasing x8, 60fps

  • Ready or not - 900p low FSR ult. performance, 25fps (Note: this game uses 100% of THE ENTIRE PC and the fans start to sound like an airplane turbine, a lot of textures may take a lot of time to load, unplayable to me)

  • Red Dead Redemption - 1080p, max, medium shadows, every "advanced" shadows setting off, FXAA, 45fps, using 900p or FSR can increase the fps to 60

  • Red Faction Guerrilla Remarstered - 1080p max, 60fps

  • Sleeping Dogs DE - 1080p medium or 900p high, 40fps (Note: This game uses a lot of CPU too)

  • Slime Rancher - 1080p medium, 60fps

  • Slime Rancher 2 - 900p low, 25fps or 720p low 30/40fps (depending on the zone)

  • SWAT 4 + Ultra textures + reshade mods (Antialiasing + light improvement) - 1080p max, 60fps

  • Teardown - 900p medium, 50-60fps (quite stable, uses a lot of CPU and ram when start exploding things)

  • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - 1080p med/high, 60fps

  • Trackmania Turbo - 1080p high 60fps

  • V.A. Proxy - 768p, shadows off, 25-50fps

  • Watch Dogs - 900p medium 40-50fps

  • Watch Dogs + The worse mod + Living City - 900p Medium/high 40-50fps, 1080p low/medium 35-45fps (Note: what cause most lag in WD is the vegetation, you can't change the vegetation quality in game, but if you edit your settings file (GamerProfile.xml, in Documents > My Games > Watch Dogs) and change it to low, the performance is quite better)

  • Watch Dogs 2 - 720p medium or 900p low, 20-30fps (Note: this game uses 100% of both CPU and GPU and an 8gb ram or more)

I played more games ofc, but if a game requires less than any one listed here it will work and I didn't considered necessary to mention them, like most indie or older games :)

CACHYOS GAMES:

  • Far Cry 3 - 1080p high, ultra textures, 50-60fps, all ultra 25-30fps (same/better performance than windows, no crashes on ultra settings, stabler FPS but lower on ultra settings)

  • GTA IV with fusionfix and some fixes mods, using lutris DXVK - 1080p max settings (medium shadows, night shadows off), 40-50fps some stuttering in the first minutes of game, with DXVK Async no stuttering, really stable and smooth (so much better performance)

  • GTA Trilogy DE - 900p custom settings (Most on medium), 30fps (Overall it felt better than playing it on windows, but still worst than the og games lol)

  • Just Cause 3 - 1080p low, FXAA, medium textures, 30-40fps, 900p medium, SMAA, high textures, 40-60fps (Note: REALLY recomended to play in 900p, the difference in quality and FPS compared to 1080p is really big, if you can play in that resolution it's a really good experience)

  • Mafia: Definitive edition - 900p low 25fps, 720p 30-35fps (NOT PLAYABLE, the fps were really unstable, it felt really bad to play, if you manage to get 30fps stable, even in low the game looks really good so it could be a good experience)

  • Red Dead Redemption - 1080p same settings as windows, high shadows, 50fps, (The performance is basically the same, just faster loading screens in Linux for some reason)

  • Slime Rancher - 1080p high 45-50fps, ultra 25-30fps (Better performance in general, in ultra settings seems to have a higher delay (completely playable tho) but more and more stable FPS)

  • V.A. Proxy - same performance as windows

  • Watch Dogs TWM + Living City too - 900p high (some medium), 30fps, I haven't managed to reduce the quality of the vegetation yet, when you are in a open area with trees or grass 20-25fps (Worst FPS but more stability, if I can modify the vegetation quality my opinion may change, prefer Windows)

  • Watch Dogs 2 - 1080p, 0.85 pixel density, medium textures, geometry medium, terrain high, texture filtering high, temporal filtering, FXAA, every other setting in low/off, 30-35fps stable (Note: this game uses 100% of both CPU and GPU and an 8gb ram or more)

  • Zelda: Breath of the wild 900p 30-35fps stable once all shaders load (Note: via CEMU, shadow quality medium, shadow distance high, from FPS++ mod, playable at 1080p (More stuttering), could try lowering the shadows, but I prefer lower res and better quality, high ram usage, 6-10GB)
