I am considering buying a Mustang to achieve Nirvana tones (ALMOST A REPOST)

Almost a repost because it’s basically the same thing but the wording is changed because I forgot to copy the original post before I deleted it. The original post got removed because I accidentally posted it twice instead of once because when I pressed the post button it didn’t take me out of the menu to create the post.

Basically I wanna get a Mustang but I don’t know if it’s better to buy a cheaper sonic mustang then mod it into Nirvana Mustang specs (JB, new bridge, flipped tail piece, Japanese [?] Fender single coil, etc) or buy a more expensive classic vibe Mustang and do the same thing to it. My standard for quality is well I play a 2004 Squier Affinity Strat that has decent tuning stability (I did put the bridge flat though with 5 springs) and not sharp frets.

Notes: the Strat is modded to have a JB in the bridge so I might put a coil split hot rail in the bridge of the Mustang instead to go for the competition Mustang sound even though I much prefer the In Utero Stangs (Skystang 1 my beloved)

The first two pictures are the two mustangs I’m considering buying and the last one is my modded Strat

How do I use these in my pedal chain?

I want to use these in my pedal chain and I’m curious how exactly would I use the pod in that way. I know how to use the zoom and I probably won’t because I don’t think it’s very good. But I’d like to use the pod.

Mizu train

You could say she’s “Trainsgender”! *badum tss*

This started as a joke where me and my friend said that Rui would pull Mizuki’s pony tail (GENTLY) and say “choo choo!” While doing it

How on earth do I play this? I keep seeing differing tabs for this song!

I’ve been learning Serve the Servants and I keep finding different ways to play the opening. Specifically the part with all the open strums and the second fret power chord and the e power chord. I’ve also experienced weird tabs for the solo, I’m personally kind of a perfectionist and I like to do everything as accurately as possible so this has all been pretty confusing!

I am trying to build my Squier Affinity Stratocaster into the best possible Nirvana guitar. Here’s my list of mods, planned mods and a few questions for you guys!

Already done mods: I’ve added a Seymour Duncan SH4 JB into the bridge position.

Planned mods: the ability to coil split the JB 3 ways, either to the slug or screw coils.

A neck on switch so I can get all 3 pickups together or the neck and bridge pickup together.

.52 .10 gauge strings.

Rewiring the tone pots so one is for the bridge and one is for both the neck and middle pickups.

Specs: stock neck and middle single coils, two 250k tone pots and one 250k volume pot.

Other gear: Fender Bassman 15” cab and a 65’ reissue Fender Twin reverb, Marshall MG50DFX along with a ds-1, small clone, Boss RC-2 loop station, polytune noir 3, Ernie ball vp jr and DOD Milkbox compressor.

Questions: Are there any mods you think could make this guitar even better? Also should I consider switching out my tone and volume pots to be 500k’s? Or split 500k/250k’s?

Here is my arrangement of pedals as a beginner!

The Ernie Ball VP Jr., boss looper and milk box compresser are ones I inherited from my grandpa! The others I bought with my own money! I play mostly Nirvana if you couldn’t tell lol
