Thunderbird growing very slow
Thunderbird has been getting very slow as of late. Emails take a long time to show up and take even longer to actually load. I don't know how to fix this but it's making it very hard to use the client.
I do not have addons of any kind, it used to sync to my email just fine and load everything lightning fast. Someone please give me an explanation I'm going nuts over here.
PS. It may just be a coincidence but after viewing the mail in the actual mail app on my phone, it loaded just fine on thunderbird. I don't know if this is of importance.

Thunderbird stopped being the default email option out of the blue?
I was having a weird issue where Thunderbird kept asking to be the default email app for my computer over and over untill I allowed it to today. But when I went to check in the apps settings on Windows itself, it still wasn't.
I've fixed that now and the integration prompt hasn't shown up again so I guess I fixed it, but has anyone else had issues like this recently?
Now that everything seems to have calmed down, DID personal info get leaked?
As the title says, do we have a clear picture as to what happened with all of that yet? Been staying off the game for a while due to it all.
Does pax historia steal browser cookies?
I noticed in their privacy policy that cookies/SDKs are amongst what data they collect. Are they collecting the other, non-pax historia cookies stored in my browser, or am I just extraordinarily stupid today?

digitalcourage.socialShould we just delete our accounts on SS14 at this point?
I don't know who's in control of it anymore and in its current state it seems like the game's kind of being killed off in the process of all this. It just doesn't feel trustworthy anymore.

fightchatcontrol.euBuried in this, it appears the CJEU just wiped out platform immunity for user-content.
https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/france-enforce-porn-age-checks-092041449.html Attaching a link to the article for reference, but it appears the CJEU effectively ruled that if your platform utilizes algorithms when handling user-generated content, it's subject to liability for the content and must employ general monitoring?
This seems really bad for any sort of open internet moving forward.
Does wonderland.jar mess with your computer in any way?
I don't really like horror mods' tendency to mess with the computer itself but a lot of my friends are playing a modpack that uses wonderland. I'm looking for clear answers on if it does or doesn't mess with the computer.
Data leak status?
It's been a few days. Were the backdooring/leak of data confirmed real?
Dynamic IP risks?
I recently learned about dynamic IPs, and how the great majority of all ISPs use these.
But I also know Discord does IP bans sometimes. So that got me wondering, are people being falsely banned from their ISP giving them IPs that have already been banned previously?
Is this a real risk or am I just overthinking it? Is Discord aware this is a potential issue?
ELI5: How am I not constantly at risk of getting banned from random platforms like Discord or similair by having dynamic IPs?
I've been sent on a bit of a spiral trying to research this, because it is making me feel inherently unsafe using any kind of internet currently.
So, how does it all work? I'm having a hard time gauging if this is a realistic risk at all.

edri.orgDid passwords get compromised or not?
Looking for some clarity here since I keep seeing back and forths on if passwords/emails/so forth got leaked or not and I'm making this post to hopefully get that fully clarified when possible.
