I don't know who's in control of it anymore and in its current state it seems like the game's kind of being killed off in the process of all this. It just doesn't feel trustworthy anymore.

It was just the email that got exposed, but I'm still freaking out. What do I do? What do I have to watch out for now? What can hackers do with it? Please help me calm down.

I don't really like horror mods' tendency to mess with the computer itself but a lot of my friends are playing a modpack that uses wonderland. I'm looking for clear answers on if it does or doesn't mess with the computer.

It's been a few days. Were the backdooring/leak of data confirmed real?

I recently learned about dynamic IPs, and how the great majority of all ISPs use these.

But I also know Discord does IP bans sometimes. So that got me wondering, are people being falsely banned from their ISP giving them IPs that have already been banned previously?

Is this a real risk or am I just overthinking it? Is Discord aware this is a potential issue?

I've been sent on a bit of a spiral trying to research this, because it is making me feel inherently unsafe using any kind of internet currently.

So, how does it all work? I'm having a hard time gauging if this is a realistic risk at all.

Looking for some clarity here since I keep seeing back and forths on if passwords/emails/so forth got leaked or not and I'm making this post to hopefully get that fully clarified when possible.

All the mythos news have been causing me a lot of anxiety and I'm having a rather hard time coping with the allegedly coming cyber-apocalypse of AI malware. One can only do so much against it and it feels kind of hopeless ontop of everything else already going on.

Genuinely if it's as supposedly powerful as they say, isn't every average person's cybersecurity just kind of screwed?

Not to mention the hardware costs rising means a lot of people may not be able to upgrade their computers in time.

I only see talk from the enterprise/business side, but what's the reality gonna be for everyone else?

Furthermore, what about games? What about game modding? What about literally everything that is made out of code?

What the hell is anyone supposed to do with all of this?
