Want to discuss about the struggles we face as muslims..

Hi everyone, I just hope we can have a conversation about this. It feels like as muslims we have to face so much hostility olin this world and that comes from both non muslims and muslims. With the non muslims, they're always blaming every single muslim everytime someone commits a crime. They begin the whole narrative of radicalisation, extremists, cult etc. etc. They do it to such a point that a muslim just praying is offensive and extreme to them or refusing to shake hands with opposite gender or wearing a hijab meanwhile the same logic doesn't apply to their religion or cultural practices.

Now in the muslim community, there is no end to the judgement that goes on, each group is busy refuting the other group and calling out mistakes all the time. You can check this very sub for evidence of this.

Like how are you supposed to stay close to religion when its hard from both sides?

And how is that these extremist groups manage to lure actual muslims and convince them to carry out attacks and harm themselves too? I know there's a lot of propaganda involved, but some of these are legit, how is that even possible?

What is the difference between accounts centre and Meta account in settings?

I have a private account and a public one. My private one says account centre and the public one has meta account. I really don't like the meta account, it is so overwhelming and has a million things. I don't even want a "meta" account, just an Instagram one. Is there anyway for me to not have a meta account?

Hello! I have an indigo flight from Muscat(oman)-->Bombay-->Patna. I want to know if we are allowed to take artist paints like watercolour and acrylic tubes in checked in luggage. Please let me know if I can take. Google says it fine, but i dont want to take the risk of having my bags left or not being able to board the plane.

Is acrylic and watercolor paint tubes and hair trimmer allowed on indigo flight?

Hello! I have an indigo flight from Muscat(oman)-->Bombay-->Patna. I want to know if we are allowed to take artist paints like watercolour and acrylic tubes in checked in luggage. I'm attaching photos similar to what I have for reference. Please let me know if I can take. Google says it fine, but i dont want to take the risk of having my bags left or not being able to board the plane.

Also I have a hair trimmer with non detachable battery, and the metal trimmer head does not come off. Should i keep it in cabin bag?

Let's talk about Humsafar

I just finished watching Humsafar yesterday. I'm sure this show has already been discussed before, but if you're also someone who watched it recently, let's talk about it.

Ashar's dad is shown to be the good person, caring so much about khirad, but he is also responsible for what fareeda did. She might have still done it, but his harsh words provoked her. It also seems that he was overall a toxic husband which might be why Freeda is uncomfortably attached to Ashar. She seeks that "love" from him.

Ashar is also so toxic, probably also influenced by his dad. He wakes Khirad up from her sleep, he would have screamed at her if she did it. He gets jealous and angry and does not explain when khirad cries and begs him to let her know her fault. He can see how agitated she gets when he is distant from her, yet he goes ahead and sort of "punishes" her by not comforting or talking to her and all this is supposed to be their good times when they were madly in love.

Fareeda actually did Khirad a big favour by staging the cheating because khirad finally grew a spine and stopped catering to Ashar' moods as well as what every other random person thinks. The story is so much more interesting after their separation.

I think one of the main charms of the show is that that both the lead actors are extremely beautiful and people will always love that. I especially love Fawad's gaze in both humsafar and ZGH. There's something so magical and poetic about it, ugh I have a crush on him rn😭 The way that both of them cry and express their pain in the last few episodes is amazing.

Also, did you guys notice how Khizar never says Salam correctly? He says "slaalekum" instead of Salam Alaikum. It's silly but irked me so bad lol😅😅

Wanting to study medicine at 25, need advice from mbbs students/doctors

Hi everyone! A little background about myself, I'm 25F, I did my Bachelor's in english and PCB in 12th with good marks but I didn't write neet in 2019 because I was living in gulf and missed the registration. Then I began to doubt myself about whether i even want to study medicine, will I actually be able to handle the pressure and i left it. I was not even that passionate about it at that point, except for liking biology and it was really hard for me to decided what to do at 18.

Fast forward now, I really regret not taking the risk back then, because I'm so confused about what I should do in life, and I'm also interested in studying medicine. I still don't know if I'm actually cut out for the doctor life but I have so much curiosity in me to just understand the human body and diseases etc.

It's a huge time commitment, so I'm scared.

Right now my plan is to study either education (to teach) or to study medical lab technology (so that i can still learn something medical and also get a job) These 2 are what seem practical to me but sometimes i truly wish i could be actually studying mbbbs.

The only way for me to study mbbs would be getting a government seat through Neet, because i can't actually pay the private college fees. I also want to do jobs and earn. So that is my situation. I don't know if i should give it a try now, or wait even longer and do it later in life when I have earned and saved and I'm in a better situation in personal life as well.

I know this is not common and people usually finish their mbbs at 25, but things in my life have never been linear and "normal". So many things were going on, and I'm just beginning to think on a deeper level about my life. I have a lot of interests, I like being creative and i also love science, especially human biology, education etc. I'm all over the place and deciding one thing is really hard for me.

Studying medicine is like this deep childhood wish that I have, I don't care about the title or social fame from it, i wanna do it just for me, but i also have to think about making money, atleast enough to fend for my needs. I don't want to depend on others and in future if I marry, I definitely don't want to depend on my husband to provide for me (that is a huge fear for me right now), which is why I'm stuck between doing any jobs that I can start quickly and make money so that I'm not at someones else's mercy for my needs or invest my time in preparing for neet and then studying mbbs.

Want to be a medical lab tech, from India, need help

Hello! I want to work in the healthcare field and medical lab science/tech seems so interesting to me. The issue is that I'm from India and from what I know this job is extremely underpaid here. It is very common here to do a diploma, DMLT course of 2 years and start working. I want to go the Bsc.MLT route and there are few options in some good medical colleges. But the pay still remains low. A lot of people apply for jobs in the middle east GCC countries where the pay is decent and I've been searching about getting a job in USA and that seems practically impossible.

If anyone here is from India and you have been able to have experience in this field, please, please do comment below if you can advice me.

Some choose darkness by Charlie Donlea

I just finished Some choose darkness by Chalrie Donlea and it was great listening to the audiobook. I was hooked. Yesterday I was listening to it just before sleeping, and I ended up having a scary dream (which I've completely forgotten now) but I love books that can affect me like that.

For those who have read the book, I really wanna know >! what she whispered to him !<. I got to know that there's another book, is it explained in the next one?

I'm sticking it with cello tape right now. What should I do for this issue? I don't want to get rid of this phone. I got it in 2023 and I plan to use it for many years more. Will it be able to last?

Suffering from fungal skin infection for almost 1 year

Hello doctors! My brother, Age 19, height: 163 cm, weight: 50 kg, is having continued fungal skin infection on his shoulder, legs, groin, face side and behind ears. Tenia Corporis

It's not severe but it just fades a little and keeps coming back. He's taken a lot of medicines, including Fluconazole course for a month 1tab per week, then Terbinafine for 15 days. And creams like: Eberconazole, Luliconazole, Naftifine hydrochloride.

What to do now? I have attached a photo of some of the places. The one on his leg, the dark one grew much bigger in size and then faded, came back and is currently in a better state than the photo.

I'll post a pic of the prescription in the comments if it's allowed. Please help 🙏

What career options are there as B.A. english graduate?

Myquals 10th: 9.5 cgpa, 12th PCB: 89%, BA english hons 65%

Female, Age 25

I had 3 years gap after 12th, then I did B.A. English Honors. I chose that course because I was just lost and didn't have much options back then due to many reasons. Now i have no idea what to do. I used to think that i want to be a dcotor but I've left that behind now. I have zero clue. Should I do M.A. or B.ed? Or do I start from square 1 again and take a UG course is something practical, like Medical lab, biomedical science etc. Please help. I'm panicking because I don't want to to left behind in life without any income of my own. My biggest fear is depending for money on someone and being mistreated because of that (I've seen it happen a lot) I want to have a good career, that has a creative side as well.

I took this photo after we had taken off and the mumbai shoreline was not visible anymore. I assumed it's just going to be the dark Arabian sea now, and didn't expect to see these type of lights. Are these ships below? These lights looked beautiful to see from the plane.

Hello guys, so basically I studied absolutely nothing in phy and chem in 11th. I don't know any of the concepts. Last thing I know is class 10 science. I'm in dummy school so I easily passed the exams in 11th. I only have physics wallah but the syllabus is vast and I have no knowledge of 11th.

Will i be able to understand 12th without 11th. I'm trying to start with basics now but I'm lost. If anyone can help, please share your advice.🙏
