Can I animate custom particles in Blender?

hi everyone!

i'm completely new to Blender. I've done some random stuff before but i actually have ZERO skills in 3D animation.

For an university project, i have to recreate entirely from scratch this italian AD:

in the second 0:03, i was wondering how to recreate all those swallows (with the animation) flying.

The first idea is of course to create a 3D model, animate it and create 50 copies of that model, but i was wondering if there was an easiest way.

I thought about a particle system, i'd surely mess up with the settings to make the particles "fly" like the swallows do, and using some actual swallow 3D model (with its own fly animation) as the particle.

I was wondering (since I still havent started), is it possible to make all the particles play the animation aswell? In which way? Is it "automatic" when i put the swallow model as the particle?

UI issue while playing song

hi , i just downloaded FL on my new laptop (with an Intel ultra 255H, 32gb RAM and a rtx 5070), and i opened one project that i moved from my mainframe.

as you can see , when the song IS NOT playing, everything is fine. but when the song plays, if i move the channel rack / mixer everything lags. you cant hear it, but i can say that the audio does NOT lag. its only the graphics. ofcourse on my mainframe (which also has worse components) this doesnt happen.
Also , the cpu usage doesnt go over 25%. i dont think its that.

for context, im using a focusrite scarlett solo 3rd gen with 1024 buffer size (but i dont think it has to do about that).

do you have any ideas? thanks in advance!

random restarts after upgrade (NO BSOD)

hi everyone!

my personal pc always mounted a ryzen 7 3700x with a rx460 (when i built the pc the gpu prices were mad high), mounted on a b450 tomahawk max, and i NEVER had any problem.

last year, just for give some fresh air to the pc, i bought an used ryzen 7 5800x and an used RX 5600xt.

since that, i notice some very rare and very random restarts while i use the pc. no blue screens, no errors, just a straight restart.

im wondering what could be the cause. i can only say that AT LEAST ONCE this happened with the pc on idle. so i dont really know if its related to the overheating (even tho the 5800x temps are high).

my case DOESNT have the reset button , so the “reset SW” pins on the mobo are uncovered. could it also be that? i mean , some bad contact that triggers the reset?

can you help me? is it CPU failure? could it be the MOBO bios to update? thank you in advance!

edit: i just updated the bios to the latest version and im actually doing a memtest

M4 pro or M5 air?

Hi!

im looking for a laptop for A LOT of productivity (music production and sound design, video editing , computer graphics 2D and 3D, videogames developement ) and im struggling on what to get.

with all due respect , im a windows user , never had an apple PC (i only have an iphone) , and my first choice was to get a windows laptop.

but some friends are suggesting me to get a macbook because its better for these type of tasks.

i have a 1500€ budget and i first saw the Macbook air 15’’ with with M5, 24gb of ram and 1tb storage.

the other choice is the macbook pro with the M4, but its more expensive.

what do you think its the best? do you think the macbook can handle also 3D renders? just to clarify im not professional, its for the university (for now!).
