I haven't crunched the numbers to see which setup gets more coal mined per coal burned (burner inserter/burner drill vs boiler > power > electric drill) mostly because I'm almost certain this is less efficient. But even if that's the case, you still have a source of fuel for your boilers that isn't powered by the turbines themselves. Does this benefit outweigh the inefficient use of coal by any sort of quantifiable amount?

I feel like I've completed the main story up until this point, but they're still there. Is there something im missing?

I've always loved this game and just found out about this community.

I'm running the romsgames version on JohnGBAC (with ads removed, I think it's by far the best mobile emulator I've ever seen) and I was wanting a more complete playthrough. I can't get pokemon like Steelix through trades to my knowledge, even if I run this same setup from another device. As far as GS exclusives, I can always cheat in an encounter. But without cheating in encounters for Steelix at level 2 and maxing it out, I can't get one.

Is there a GameShark code or something I could use?

I've watched countless beginner tutorial videos. I've played Satisfactory, Mindustry, Foundry, DSP, and even automate tons of stuff in Astroneer. And I can navigate them just fine (mostly). I've played the demo multiple times. Is there something I'm missing? Is there something that will make things just fall into place and suddenly make sense?

And I know that sometimes a game just isn't compatible with people. I'm worried that's the case here. But taking the mechanics into consideration, it seems like something that I would not only love, but flourish in. I don't understand. Should I keep waiting for an epiphany to strike, or just give up?

That said, I had an idea of something that might work better for one of the demo levels, but I haven't had a good chance to test it out.

Edit: I know this got no upvotes, but that's not the point. I got some genuinely useful advice. So thank you everyone for the tips on how to proceed from here. I've bought the game now. It could take me a week to start enjoying it, or it could take a year. I can't say. But worst case scenario, it won't be the only title collecting dust in my library (cough ksp2 cough).

the clear flexible plastic sheet with all the actual key circuitry 0n it is n0t visibly damaged, and the pr0blem keys are indistinguishable fr0m the rest regarding the appearance 0f the actual plus shaped circle things (are th0se the switches? idk the termin0l0gy here). the wires leading t0 the where they plug int0 the actual circuitb0ard c0mp0nent are als0 n0t visibly damaged. these plugs are als0 bel0w a layer 0f plastic that w0uld pr0tect them fr0m s0mething like the cl0thes that were set 0n them, s0 im assuming the c0nnecti0ns are als0 fine. this als0 isnt an issue 0f the keyb0ard n0t being clean

my keyb0ard is a Razer Cynosa V2. I g0t it way back in like 2019 (and its w0rked great since then), but apparently tech price depreciati0n d0esnt c0unt with keyb0ards because its still like $150 f0r a replacement. i think i actually g0t this f0r less than that at best buy 0r s0mething.

Think the first minute of Skrillex - Cinema. It's energizing, but not as hard hitting as edm, and doesn't have the bass of dnb. It's not trying to be the point of the song. The point is the bass drop. But the drop in dubstep has always sounded so messy, like someone dropping buckets of paint on a canvas and making a half hearted attempt to mop it up. You end up with a muddled mess with cool parts here and there. That style was fun while it lasted, but it's heyday is gone.

In Cinema, the drums are very prominent, and the synths, arpeggios, and lyrics mesh together so perfectly. It's so calming and beautiful to me, but I don't know of any artists who make anything like that. Or even what to call the genre, if there's a name. Any song recommendations?

Goblins from Mars has something like this, but their drops are too "I heard a cool vocal sample, we gotta chop it up and use it as a drop" kind of. Like their expecto patronum remix.

NCS isn't as remix-y, but their pre-build up sections don't hit as hard. While the drops are more "refined" than dubstep, it's not really what I'm looking for.
