Has anybody else noticed that homeless people in the outer suburbs are fatter than the ones in CBD?

I spotted 2 homeless people last night, one was a man around 110 kg, the other was a woman around 130 kg (separate encounters). It was really surprising, because the woman asked me for cigarettes and told me she only had 50 cents to her name, but she was extremely obese so I found it hard to believe her. At that point I realised that most homeless people I've seen in CBD were normal sized, but most every homeless person I see in the suburbs are somehow really fat. Are the food programs out here really that generous? How can somebody who has 50 cents to their name get so big? How can they afford these 6000kcal daily rations when food is so expensive these days?

The biomechanics at play here simply don't coincide with the financial implications.

Why does it seem that homeless people only get fat if they live in outer suburbs vs CBD?

This restaurant purposely overcooks their "burger" and advertise it as a "jaw workout".

Looks dry as fuck. I'm never going here.

How is this app able to detect what I have installed, without being granted permission?

App was installed from the playstore and launched for the first time, no permissions granted. It was able to detect another app I had installed. How is this possible? Are all apps automatically privy to such device information?

Lenovo G9 2026 review

Absolute garbage 0/10 would not recommend to anyone regardless of price

Pros:

Front is metal

Cons:

Charging port cut-out is misaligned. Functional, but pathetic on an $80 controller.

Can't turn off front-facing LED.

Clear plastic covering front camera causes blurry video even when clean.

Swipe gestures don't work well because the border is covered, no cut-out areas on sides to allow swipe gestures to register.

No app switcher button, swipe gestures don't work as mentioned above, so the only way to open the app switcher is swiping 3 fingers up while on home screen.

The DEDICATED app doesn't work. Can't open controller settings, it just crashes, and the menu cannot be navigated with buttons. Can't use it without signing in. Yes, they specifically made an app for this controller (and 2 others) and it does not work.

Clearance is poor or misaligned, tablet doesn't push out when the slot is unlocked. You must pry the sides of the backing to release the tablet.

Back button assignment doesn't work. (No app to assist. Hardware-based. Doesn't work.)

Weight and size is artificially inflated to make it feel premium, but it's just heavy and pointlessly large. Women would probably not be able to use this controller. I have slightly above average male hand size, and it feels too big to be comfortable.

Final verdict:

This controller is an absolute joke. No QC, no RnD. I feel like I should return the tablet as well. That's how bad it is. It very strangely also seems to have a Bluetooth connection mode, which doesn't make sense because it has no internal battery so it needs to be plugged in. I don't know what the f these guys are thinking when they made this.

Is deadlift meant to hurt my lower back?

I mean immediate pain, not DOMS. I've put off training deadlift because I don't want to injure my back, and even with proper form, it usually hurts. It's getting ridiculous now because I bench 150 while my deadlift is only 180. I've had my form checked by a professional and they said nothing was wrong. I use double overhand for under 150kg and reverse above that, with conventional stance.

Possibly relevant, if I stand still for several minutes, my lower back will get stiff and start to get painful. Not sure if that's normal.

Looking for recommendations for high-end controllers for RedMagic Astra 2

Is there anything like the Lenovo G9, but for the Astra 2? The Astra 2 looks better than the Lenovo Y700 gen 5 but the lack of a dedicated controller sways my decision, is there anything close?

Is my face just doomed to be red forever?

The only time my face isn't red is when I've fasted for 2+ days. Everything is healed and normal except the redness. Always some magnitude of facial redness. I'm a man so it would probably draw more attention if I covered it with makeup. Sometimes, people ask if I'm okay. I am. I always look like that. Might have to start on KLOW or BPC.

What's the name of this Switch-style controller?

There was a premium switch-style controller on a crowdfunding website that I can't recall. It had a set of 2 wireless halves that clamped onto either side, so it could be used with any size device. I'm looking for similar controllers or the specific one I mentioned. Preferably premium options $100+, I don't like cheap controllers. I'll be using it on a 13 inch tablet so most telescopic controllers don't fit.

Banned FB and IG, appeal requires government identification. Should I just cut losses?

My Facebook account was suspended for fraud and deception and my instagram was linked via meta so it was also suspended. I'm guessing it's a haywire AI algorithm or a disgruntled person spam-reporting me, because I have not defrauded anyone. My profile picture and name is not of myself, so that might be it, though strange as many people use aliases without issue. The suspension doesn't bother me too much, but now they're asking me to upload ID to appeal my case. My concern now is that any future account of mine will be flagged if my ID is linked. This will be precarious as I plan to leverage a large portion of my future business dealings on meta platforms, so I can't afford a lifetime ban.

Note 1. I do have a history of selling on FB marketplace, so a fraud accusation is unfounded but not improbable.

Note 2. These accounts have no history of being hacked, but I do use a VPN on all of my devices, though I always log in from the same devices. The timing of this suspension did not coincide with any particular log in or event that I can note.

Note 3. About 5 months ago, FB limited my marketplace account and tried to make me upload government ID to continue using it. I ignored the warning and just stopped using it.

The questions I have:

  1. Will they flag my ID and ban my future accounts? (An investigation will clear my fraud allegations, but I don't know if that's what they're really banning me for, it could be for my usage of an alias)

  2. Even if I surrender my ID, will they actually investigate my appeal, or just record my ID to put on a watch list?

KLOW 80mg and KPV

Does anybody have experience using these peptides under medical supervision and seen good results? Seems like a great stack for eczema, especially the KPV, but all evidence seems to be from animal trials or unofficial observations. Interested to see if anybody here has had it prescribed or recommended under medical supervision. KPV looks like it could be the last screw to go from "i feel pretty normal" to "i don't even know what eczema is".

Overview (AI genned):

>In standard 80 mg formulations like the KLOW Blend, the exact breakdown per vial is:

>GHK-Cu (50 mg): Stimulates collagen and skin remodeling. It helps reconstruct a functional stratum corneum (the outermost skin barrier) to lock in moisture and lock out allergens.

>KPV (10 mg): The critical differentiator for eczema. Derived from alpha-MSH, this tripeptide down-regulates pro-inflammatory cytokines and suppresses NF-κB pathways to directly calm severe skin flares.

>BPC-157 (10 mg): Targets gut-lining integrity. Since eczema is highly linked to gut permeability ("leaky gut") triggering immune overreactions, BPC-157 helps repair the gut-skin axis.

>TB-500 / Thymosin Beta-4 (10 mg): Accelerates tissue and cellular repair. It speeds up the healing of raw, cracked, or bleeding skin damaged from scratching.

I'm using a Panasonic S5IIX with the kit 20-60mm for handheld low light video in close range. Will I significantly benefit from the Panasonic Lumix S line? I've been told that a 50mm lens is necessary to have true-to-life perspective for portraits, but I've seen the 18/24/35 lenses and they don't look bad at all, but my opinion isn't educated. Since it's handheld and close range, I'm considering the 3 lenses I mentioned earlier over a 50mm. Which one would be best suited for my needs? I've also considered the Sigma 20mm f1.4 but it's really big so it doesn't look like the best option for handheld videography. Is the Sigma 20mm quality significantly better than the 18mm Lumix S?
