Gemini 3.7 Flash is far more honest

Is it just me, or the 3.7 Flash is FAR more honest, and by saying far I MEAN IT.

He doesn’t hallucinate as much, says when something isn’t right, if he can or can’t do certain things, but doesn’t straight up lie to you.

It’s a great thing to see from Google after those delays, hope they’re worth it.

How to recreate this2000s 3D diamond video wall / flare transition?

Looking for technical guidance on recreating the multi-panel 3D grid layout and lighting setup shown in this reference.

Specific elements I want to replicate:

  1. Layout & Camera Motion: The background 3D wall of pre-comps combined with the central 45-degree diamond focal window.
  2. Panel Flipping & Motion Curves: The snap-transition where individual panels flip/rotate into position without clipping.
  3. Optical / Flare Elements: The 4-point directional light beams emitting directly along the bevel of the diamond mask.

What I’ve already set up and tried:

  • Built a 4x4 grid of 3D pre-comps offset along the Z-axis in AE.
  • Parented a 35mm camera to a 3D Null controller with snappy ease-in-out keyframes on Position and Z-Rotation.
  • Tested CC Light Rays and Trapcode Shine on a high-contrast matte for the diamond frame, but I struggle to match the sharp beam falloff seen on the edges.

Specific questions:

  • Is there a more efficient way to rig the individual panel flips?
  • What was the standard method for achieving those sharp edge flares around the geometric mask during this era?

Edit: Forgot to apologise for the low video quality, that's the only video available on the internet for this specific effect i've found.

New game color

If rayll eventually continues with the same style of the game logos, what do you think the new icon color should be? We haven’t had white, but it’s not a unique color.

Maybe light blue? I don’t know. Drop your guesses and speculations.

Gemini can't edit the image it created (part 2)

Literally an hour ago i made a post saying this (title).

Out of boredom i tried to execute the example i gave in my previous post, and it somehow turned out to be right.

Well, he tried to do some changes but didn’t succeed and did something like the thing i reported in my previous post. If any google engineer is reading this - take a look.

Previous post: https://www.reddit.com/r/GeminiAI/comments/1vie98e/gemini\_cant\_edit\_the\_image\_it\_created/

Also this new look of the newly created image is so disgusting, if Google manages to fix the image issue and still wish to do some work, they might try to change it into something more visually appealing.

Gemini can’t edit the image it created

Is it just me, or Gemini sometimes just can’t edit the image it creates?

For example i prompt him to create a picture of a volcano, he makes it, but if i prompt him to make the lava blue, he just outputs the same exact image with no corrections. (This was an example case so you get the point)

Anybody experiencing this?

At this point take your time

At this point, Google, take your time to develop the 3.5 Pro model.

If it’s not Fable 5 level, i am genuinely gonna have a mental breakdown and basically cry until Google actually releases something good like their competitors.

When will gemini be able to make images transparent?

Like, hello, why are they behind on this feature which i don't believe is hard to implement, also their competitors (like ChatGPT) were able to do this since i know them.

Will we see this any soon?

Pin Gems to sidebar idea

I think it would be great to add this to Gemini website.

It works simply - pick a gem, pin it, and it appears for quick access on the sidebar in the site.

CMV: Windows is both underhated and overhated.

For me Windows (any version) is both underhated and overhated. They don’t get enough hate, but get too much at the same time. That’s why it’s mainstream and the golden standard in the operating system industry for basically any usage of a computer, no matter if personal, at work or at school. They continuously bloat their system with unnecessary Ai slop we didn’t ask for and actively hate for a solid amount of time, which they should be hated for, but for the value they provide, for me it’s somehow acceptable. That makes them overhated and underhated at the same time, even if it sounds strange, completely nonsensical and limited thinking. Try to change my view.

Carson House kitchen scene

What’s the logic behind the moment where if you don’t check the cameras and go to turn off the oven, she will jumpscare, but if you check them she won’t?

How is this logical in any sense? Gameplay wise it’s an amazing strategy, but logically?

I've never seen this...

I've replayed all the games countless times, and it's the first time i see this line in Norwood Hitchhike.

If i choose the first option, it instantly quits the dialogue.

If i choose the second one, he says "I have my ways" (or something heavily similar).

Have you seen this dialogue before.

Original product vs Safe market

What do you prefer and why?

Taking the risk of bringing an original idea to life on a more "unstable" market, or bringing a less original idea, but on a safe and "large" market.

I am asking overall, i am aware that the better variant varies by the type of idea & market, but the standard "better" option? What do you think it is?

I am also aware that if you could manage to combine these two - that's the best option, but still...

"Act as..." effectiveness

Do you use the "Act as..." segment in your prompts? Do you think it's effective and why?

I know it depends on the rest of the prompt, as well as the main goal, but i'm asking if it's working overall.
