I did it. I bought the new conkers port on the Xbox store
I’ve never played this game in my life. I played a little bit on GameCube back in the day but barely remember anything. What do you guys think about this game? I don’t have game pass so I just dropped the $10. Was that a good move? Fair price? Curious what you guys think about these “new” old games that just got added!
Emulator question
I just downloaded emudeck and am currently playing cod big red one collectors edition on the ps2. Problem is I’ll go through half a mission flawlessly then I get hit with the worst stutters imaginable like I’m talking 1 FPS slow-mo type of stutter and it’s persistent. Anyone know any good troubleshooting for this? I’m pretty new so I don’t know my way around the settings too well yet. Thanks!

[KCD2] what do you guys do when there is nothing left to do?
When you’ve done every quest you can but you still find yourself craving just existing in Bohemia. What’s your go-to for not getting bored?
Newbie here- what is a super audio CD? And are they any good/worth it?
I keep hearing about these and even saw some get made from a few of my favorite bands. I thought I was aware of pretty much all forms of music consumption but what’s going on with these? Thank you in advance!
Stand alone dvd player vs console?
Hey yall I’m new and was wondering should I buy a stand alone dvd player or try to get an old console like a ps3 or something that even has blu ray and could play some games? Thanks in advance! Sorry if this the wrong sub
Soundtrack appreciation!
Lately I’ve been taking my steam with me when I chill in coffee shops and cafes and I often find myself using it to listen to game soundtracks while I write or do something else! I know I could find them in Spotify or YouTube but I just think it’s neat the deck can do this! Anyone else?
Thoughts on Bill
Anyone else feel like the Bill presented in RDR2 is NOT the same person at all? I’m currently replaying rdr1 and they’re presenting him as a murderous super dangerous badass outlaw but in RDR2 he was honestly a dumbass and even the comedic relief/punching bag. He gave very unreliable/incompetent vibes. Just an observation I had. Anyone else had the same thought?
What do you do as the betrayer?
I see the posts that talk about getting betrayed by your friends/partners but what about the people who mess up? The ones who do the wrong thing. There seems to be no mercy for these people at all and it’s disheartening. Now I’m not condoning any behavior like this I wanna make that clear. Obviously I say this as the one who betrayed someone I love. It happened a while ago but I’ve been trying to reconcile with the decisions I made.
Does betraying someone you love make you a terrible person the rest of your life? Can you learn and grow and still be a good person that just made a bad decision? Keeping it vague on purpose but these were just a few thoughts. I feel the guilt every single day and just been wondering “what happens now” “what do I do from here, how do I build a positive life out of this”.
Would love some thoughts from people who have done a bad thing in their life. How do you move on and not hate yourself every day?
Mixing criticism
I have always despised how buried the bass is in most of their albums! I honestly feel like falling into infinity had one of the best bass tones cuz we could actually hear it!! It’s always bothered me and for certain songs i literally have to intentionally try and pick it out in order to hear it. Very frustrating and JM deserves better!!
How long do you wait before starting another play through?
I just finished a play through of rdr2 and I immediately wanted to start again. Anyone else do this or do you need a break when you’re done? Maybe you’re a once a year play through kind of person? Let me know what you like to do with this game!
What was the first all digital album?
I always thought scenes was recorded using Protools but Mike mentioned using tape for six degrees in the new drumeo interview and that was what, 2001-2002? So what was the first fully digital recording?
What did RDR2 get wrong?
This game is a masterpiece and one of my all time favorites but I was curious, is there anything about the game that missed the mark for you?
Could be anything from a simple mechanic to a story line or a character or anything in between.
What real life lessons did you learn from RDR2?
For me, it really made me think about what it means to be a “good person” and whether someone like Arthur or John or even Dutch can ever genuinely earn redemption for the bad things they have done. In real life people would look at someone like them and automatically say “bad person” and move on but this game makes you think about that a lot more and I love that. What about you? What did you take away from this game?
Why does prog hate being mainstream?
Maybe this is just a question of “why does gatekeeping exist” but I’ve never understood when I hear people say they don’t like a prog bands most popular song cuz it’s too “poppy” or “sellout” “too simple” or anything to that effect. Like, isn’t it awesome that a “lesser known” prog band infiltrated the mainstream? Idk I’ve just never understood that mindset. Examples I’m thinking of would be Tom Sawyer or Owner of a lonely heart or songs you’d legitimately hear on the radio. Idk I’m just rambling but curious your thoughts on this!
Now that some time has passed, how do you feel about GUP remixes?
Have you changed your opinion on them for better or for worse or have you not changed at all since the release? Also did you buy it physical? Very curious how those editions turned out!
Are they playing to a click?
Listening to some Dan footage of the shows in LA and I hear some background elements that aren’t live-bgvs in the pass- and I was just curious if they’re playing to a click track. It doesn’t matter to me at all but I was just curious! Maybe it’s only for certain songs?
Newbie question about TV play
Say your PC is upstairs but you want to play on the tv downstairs. I see you can stream to the deck from your pc. How does this work? Is the deck just a vessel and the pc is the brain, therefore you’re using the power of your pc? Or is it still limited to the hardware of the steam deck? Hope this question makes sense. Thanks!
