Escaping

I know I just posted so I’m not tryna spam this but there’s some countries where it’s actually perfectly legal to escape prison because it’s a natural human instinct to want to escape and obviously in America it’s not the case. I don’t think it should be encouraged but punishing someone for not wanting to be tortured (which is what the prison system effectively does in my opinion) is asinine. Lmk y’all thoughts. I want to help advocate for prisoner rights some of these people got dealt a bad deck of cards which is a lot to do with your upbringing for sure. We need to be helping these people rehabilitate and idk if it’s the same for you guys but the environment I’m in affects me a lot. Basically prisoners put in positive environment=less likely to reoffend. Obviously there’s a flip side to that coin if anyone can spot it but we can get into that if anyone cares to comment.

Nature In Prisons

Obviously many serious offenders need to be locked away from the public I’m not arguing against that. I believe that adding nature in prisons like allowing prisoners to have as much nature in their room as possible and allow them to read as many books and learn as much as they want. Obviously prisoners shouldn’t have access to books like the 48 laws of power because they have been cases where they manipulate guards and shit using what they learn. There’s a difference between punishment and torture and locking someone in a 4 by 4 box with barely any sunlight no books and no nature is a recipe for reoffending. What do you guys think?

Phones in Dreams

I’ve never seen a phone in a dream nor have I seen technology for the most part including most regular appliances. Does anyone see iPhones in their dreams genuinely without trolling? I am a bit of a conspiracy theorist as well so part of me thinks dreams are visions of parallel universes and part of me thinks your brain and body are resetting and recalibrating for the next day so dreams are just a way for you to stay entertained tho. So I guess 1. Do you see tech in your dreams and which tech cause I have seen cars just not phone and 2. What do you guys think dreams are genuinely.

How to Stop Having Nightmares

Hi what’s up, I am just hear to ask if yall have any advice on how to stop nightmares. It makes me genuinely scared to go to bed at night a couple nights ago I drowned in my sleep, the night before I got knockout out and got a concussion in my sleep, then last night I got shot to death. Not fun stuff. And advice would be appreciated. Do you think my brains trying to tell me something??? I’m already a semi insomniac because It gives me anxiety not knowing where my mind goes when I’m asleep it’s a fear of the breaking point between awake and sleep because it’s just fully letting go of consciousness at least for me. But like once I put my head down on the pillow and close my eyes I’m out in 5-10 min it’s just that before that it’s very scary for me idk if it’s like that for anyone else. Maybe this pre existing fear of going to sleep seeps into my dreams somehow. Also quick tip for anyone who wants deeper sleep put you phone on airplane mode and don’t charge it near your head I promise you you’ll get a deeper sleep also try not to fall asleep watching screens. For me sometimes it’s the only way I can fall asleep but I wake up feeling tired.

Shaq shouldn’t be able to shoot 3s

I don’t know what 2K they decided to change it, but there should be no world we shaq can hit consistently from three. Two candies to either go back to the original way it was doing it which won’t happen or the more likely choice just make a game mode where you can’t play with these broken players like this shit isn’t even fun as someone who really knows the NBA.

Short Story

Hi,

Just to clarify I’m not a veteran but I have a great respect and I bow my head to all who serve to let me live free. My neighbor is a very nice older man. He goes to church, he contributes to veterans, and he is an overall kind hearted man. Recently his son committed suicide. I went to his celebration of life this past weekend. Seeing his dad cry broke my heart. He has 2 sons no older than 7. Seeing them broke me even more.

At this point you’re probaly wondering why I’m posting this. And I guess it’s just spreading awareness. Because to be honest I saw it coming. I would go over to my neighbors house to fold and bag clothes for homeless veterans a couple months back before he passed. I will never forget the look in his eyes. It was like he was alive but you could tell he was dead inside.

I told him thank you for your service because I don’t see him very often. And he didn’t respond kindly. He took it as almost an insult and to be honest I don’t remember the exact words he said but it was along the lines of don’t thank me thank the dead people who died to be here.

At his celebration of life his buddy said he died in Iraq in 2006 or 7 I honestly don’t remember but he lived till a couple months ago in 2026. That’s 20 straight years of living through pain and suffering.

I will never forget the look in his eyes. I had told my dad one day that I thought he wasn’t right and he needed help. He replied by saying he had helped him get a job as a security person at a hospital previously. Sometimes you just can tell when someone’s time is coming and you can’t explain it. I could have gotten him help but I didn’t know him that well and I didn’t wanna mess up his life.

I guess I am commenting just to share my story nothing else. I barely knew him but off of all the stories I heard at the celebration of life and from his family I took that he was a very empathetic person and he would stand in harms way to make anyone feel safe.

The eyes never lie. It’s the one thing that we keep with old age is our eyes and for a reason. It’s gods pathway into our soul. So please, if you look into a family member or persons eyes and you see that tired look of just wanting to give up don’t hesitate to get help. We love you and most importantly god loves you. 💙💙💙

I’m sure many of you can relate to this story if you’ve had a friend or family member or even if you served in combat. I’m not here trying to bring everyone down. Morso trying to spread awareness to trust your instincts if you think someone is struggling because I wish I could have gone back and helped him in some way.

The Truth

If you’re experiencing extreme delusions or hallucinations it’s not just VSS and you need a psychiatric evaluation. VSS can be a common sign of Psychosis. This shit is no joke and can ruin your family and your life if not treated immediately. If you’re seeing shit morphing into each other or hearing voices in your head that aren’t your own it isn’t just VSS. Stop fighting it and just go get help immediately cause I’ve read so many stories now of people who are obviously in Phycosis or have schizophrenia trying to say it’s just VSS when obviously there’s other shit going on. Not tryna freak y’all out but you know who you are.

Quick Question

I'm accepted into UNCW for this upcoming fall, and I just had a few questions

I’ve heard some mixed things about the nightlife/party scene — specifically, some people saying it’s somewhat limited compared to other schools. I just wanted to get a realistic idea of how true that actually is. What is the bar/party scene really like for students? I’m 21, so I can also go out to bars if that changes anything.

Also, separate question — I’m living off campus as a transfer student. How hard is it to get connected and meet people?

Choosing Between Schools

Hey, I’m a business management transfer student trying to choose between Coastal Carolina University and the University of North Carolina Wilmington. They’re around the same price for me, and I’m equally interested in both.

Which school would you recommend?

Transferring to UNCW

I’m an incoming UNCW student this fall, and I’m starting to look into housing. Does anyone know if there are still apartments near campus available, and if so, which ones tend to have mostly UNCW students?

I’m also currently looking for a roommate, ideally another UNCW student, so if anyone is in the same situation or has an open room, feel free to reach out.

I’d really appreciate any advice or info.

My Love and Hate relationship with Orisa

I love playing orisa because she’s my best character, easy to play, and consistent. While her ult may be lackluster in my opinion her fortify is OP, she has solid percs, and either her spinning javelin or the shield if you choose are both solid. My thing is this and why I say the hate part. I genuinely get bored playing her all I do is stand around spraying throwing my javelin and navigating with my spinning javelin while protecting the team. Yes at first it was fun but after a while I realized how boring she is compared to other characters. I come back to her sometimes if I’m bored or need to win a game but honestly I try my best to avoid playing her if I can. Does anyone else have a similar experience as an Orisa main or Orisa player?
