Took a trip to Cape May NJ this past week. I took a bucket of gravel home for the fish tank. Some of these stones are beautiful actually, the colors and clarity , just awesome. Im sure I'll be cutting and setting a few. My pics aren't the best but I wanted to show y'all a couple examples

I posted this in another group but still haven't been able to get a positive ID On it. It came from a bigger rock that I hit with a hammer looking for some stones for the tumbler. When it first went in, parts of it looked metallic. After a couple days I pulled it out, I thought maybe it was Mica so

So the 1942 42 over 41 mercury dime is a pretty well known error, but there isn't much information about a 1942 over 1942 ... I'm pretty sure this is a ddo.

Anyone know where this ring may have come from? I think it was my grandfather's and I think it may have something to do with the air force but it also might have been my great grandfather's. I don't see any hallmarks or anything. I'm just curious where it came from.

Could use a lil professional help here. I found this rock in north eastern ohio just now. I never really saw gold in its host or matrix, not sure the terminology. But to me this looks a little too yellow to be pirite. So what do ya think? Should I try cleaning it up?
