Niche honorable mention, (I think there are still a couple open) is Steak-Out. Opened in the 90s delivery and takeout steaks and burgers. Who remembers?

What is your favorite place to pickup food when you don’t feel like cooking? Bham proper welcome but also hoover/vestavia area. I feel like hoover has everything but also nothing at all. Open to anything. I’m tired to seeing chicken fingers on every corner.

What are some brands that are plentiful on the resale market that are still quality and real leather but don’t cost an arm and a leg? Think black with brass hardware, fringe, rock n roll vibes. Been looking at linea pelle but they are hard to come by. TIA!

This may be too niche, but anyone out there remember the drama surrounding SWMRS? Joey “left the band” (got canceled) for getting exposed for being a creep/groomer towards an underage Lydia Night, formerly of the regretts. I was pretty involved with the fandom in college, and not only did things come out about Joey, but the other 3 also did some pretty crappy things to take advantage of their fan base. It always bugged me how they acted like starving artists when Joey’s daddy is BJA for crying out loud. The Becker’s also are very wealthy and prominent family in their community.

Long story short, they made this “comeback” with their younger brother and are now receiving all kinds of press. One particular line struck me from this article: “the band found itself suddenly on the hot seat when drummer Armstrong’s romantic dispute with a girlfriend brought down the wrath of SWMRS’ huge Instagram following”. This is so insane to me how they are just calling it a “romantic dispute” 🫣 homie was 23 years old “dating” a 16 year old. She detailed her experience in a letter I’m sure is still out there somewhere, but let’s just say it’s extremely disgusting behavior and now the media is still covering it up like it was nothing even 6 years later and the band themselves is still riding the coattails of the drama like it’s just some little thing.

Sorry for the rant, I was just very involved in this fandom years ago and I have no one else to talk about this too 😂. All of this happened during a time where other bands members were getting exposed for shit left and right and we all swore it could never be our precious swmrs 🙄. The band also prided them selves on shows being safe spaces for women, so you can imagine what followed after we all found out.

What do we know? Their claim to fame is Jimmy Johns, is this a good POS option for small business?

What’s the truth? The good, the bad, the ugly. My location is very old school, no POS, hand written tickets etc. Our current online system is antiquated and still prints tickets. Will this boost sales and be a more user friendly online platform? Other locations have seen growth so we are hopeful, but haven’t signed on yet.

I want to add we intentionally don’t have a POS and it just works for us being old school. We just need a better and more efficient online presence and ordering system.

I used a sample of this cleanser and I loved it so much, my skin has never looked better. But I’m someone very weary of ingredients and their effects on health long term. I’ve heard some not so great things about the ingredients, and hate to hear about the most recent lawsuit regarding this. Does anyone have any better ingredient alternatives to this cleanser? I have very sensitive acne prone skin and it is so hard to find something that works.

Has anyone experienced dryness/redness/acne while using PR cleanser? I’m almost done with my first bottle and I don’t think I’m going to repurchase. I wanted to love it so bad but I have so many small acne bumps along my hairline and cheeks as well has redness and dryness like I’ve never experienced before, even with moisturizer it’s like my skin is never hydrated.

In the same boat as many others… 13 pro battery overheating, freezing screen, glitchy all of a sudden. Do I just bite the bullet and upgrade? At this point with the 18 so close should I just wait?? My 13 feels better and sturdier with the stainless steel sides IMO so it will be sad losing that aspect. What are your favorite features of the newest phone?

I binged watched ER in 3 months 🫣
I loved it and it’s definitely up there with best series I’ve seen.

The finale was great!! They wrapped up the show nicely with the exception of Carter’s character kind of open ended IMO. His character arc def did not play out how I thought it would. Him and Kem should have either been together or just broke up, I hate he was just kind of up in the air. Plus that phone call?!! They never discussed it! Seeing all the old characters get together was great. I wish Deb Chen would have made an appearance, she was my favorite. I was secretly shipping her and Carter the whole show, even though they were very clearly friends 🫢. Hated to hear Susan and Chuck are no longer together.

Also I predicted Rachel’s arc for the finale!! I was like there’s no way they just leave her in a state that Mark wouldn’t be happy with. So glad she had a full circle moment.

I loved the addition of Alexis Bledel. I hate she only got one episode!!! She would have had great character development. It was kind of random through for them to introduce a character so strongly and then end the show🥲.

Overall it was quite the undertaking to binge a show with so many complex story lines and characters but now I can go back and get into it even more.

If any of you traded in a 13 pro for a 17 pro, how much did you get for it?

My 13 pro has 76% battery health and has now started to randomly turn off and on 🥲 do I replace the battery or bite the bullet and upgrade to the 17? How much trade in value do we think it’s worth? Does battery performance affect trade in value?
