Lift and lashes

Recently a client of mine showed me a TikTok where they did a Korean lash lift and then lash extensions. My client was like oh because it’s a Korean lash lift it’s okay to do lashes after? I was likeeeee I’m not really sure about that.

Still feels like a lot of chemicals and if you’re weakening/altering the hair(lash) bonds I feel lash extensions would put too much strain on that?

What are your guys thoughts? I’ve always been told you can’t be doing both.

Help ease my anxiety please!! lol

I fell asleep 4 times last night breastfeeding which like is totally the goal right?! But usually I wait until baby falls back asleep so I can put a little space between us (I am still so stressed and anxious about suffocation or breathing her own breath back in) and since that did not happen I panic woke up every time and had to check her tummy for rising and falling

She was clearly very annoyed with me and work every time I did this lol

Anyone have similar anxieties?! How’d you get past it?

I seriously cannot stop worrying about this.. like if she stays latched does she have enough breathing room without breathing back in her exhaled air?! Is my boob gonna smother her?! So many thoughts and worries lol

Baby too close to me?

My girl is 4 months now and can roll back and forth and definitely prefers sleeping on her side as close as possible to me.. sometimes it stresses me out a little because she so close I worry about her getting enough air!

I always try to scoot away to make a bigger gap between her head and my chest but she always just scoots aright back.

I might be extra paranoid now because I had a scare the other day with her being in a very deep sleep (she had an absolute horrible day time nap amount) and wasn’t waking to me moving around, she’s a very light sleeper and always wakes or startles, so this really scared me that she didn’t wake very easily. (I even panic ran her out to dad to wake her up more because I was so scared) I can’t help but wonder if she was too close to me and not getting enough air but she really also could have just been absolutely exhausted.. needless to say I’m mildly traumatized now

But does anyone else have a similar problem? Should I be worried about her being so close to me or am I being a bit overboard and anxious now after this incident?

Baby won’t stop rollin’

This girl just wakes up and immediately starts rolling.. I mean right when she wakes up she’s already on it!! lol

That being said she keeps putting herself in nonstop tummy time out! And then getting so mad! But then she gets mad if you take her out of it too!! lol

She can roll both ways but occasionally I think she forgets and then she’s just stuck and mad at the world!

Kind of cracks me up honestly, anyone else have this problem?

Hospital pushing formula/early supplemental feeding

I don’t know why because it’s been 4 months now but for some reason my gut wrenches every time I think about how hard the nurse pushed for my baby to IMMEDIATELY receive supplemental feeding..

I had just fed her her first feed successfully but because she was 5 lbs 9 oz the nurse pushed us so hard to give her more right away. And they push formula as way better and that I should absolutely choose that route like basically trying to not let me make my own decision.

I had a doula who was amazing and at least helped us make the decision to do donor breastmilk instead..

But I get so sad thinking about it because right after she received the extra milk she spit up most of it.. and I just think of her tiny little tummy at that time and I don’t know why it makes me so sad!!

Later one of the other nurses literally told us not to listen to her and that our baby will be fine without supplementing and she was right! lol

Anyways.. I was just thinking about this again today and wanted to get it off my chest

Carrier sleep

I’ve been doing strictly carrier sleep with baby (4 months old now) and I’m wondering how I will transition out of it or if I need to.. she’s definitely becoming more aware of the world but our trick has been placing her sun hat on her where she cannot see during our walks to get her to sleep.

If I were to transition out of this I don’t even know how to get her to nap anywhere else anymore.. lol

I am open to contact napping without the carrier again but I feel like I just don’t know how to approach it!

Side note we strictly cosleep at night because dads at work and we’re all alone and don’t have the time or energy to fight the bassinet any more!

Full body contact

Lately my 15 week old has decided she must be touching me with her whole body.. every inch must be touching lol here I am 12 am wishing desperately that I could roll away a little, just a touch, successfully but it will just result in another wake up..

How do you get comfy during this period!! lol she’s also longer now and I can’t put my knees up very high anymore without her using my legs as a diving board lol

I’m pretty sleep deprived lately but trying to find the humor in this and or try to enjoy the fact that she wants to be that close to me all night

Schedules?

Everyone keeps talking so intensely about schedules and wake windows and mapping their whole day out and I’m just wondering, because my girl is still only 3 months, is that what I’m going to start to have to do?!

I seriously just wake up and roll with the punches now like.. am I going to have to be more intense about that when she’s abit older?! lol

Guilt?

My baby is 3 months now and I literally don’t know how to leave her alone for two seconds without feeling guilty! I barely give myself enough time to even brush my teeth from the guilt and feel like i have to be interacting with her 24/7..

I’m not sure like how much time I can allow myself away from my child and how much time I can give her to interact with her toys without me chatting to playing with her too!

Why do I feel so guilty if I’m not “on” constantly?

Does anyone else have this problem? How do you deal with it and allow yourself a moment to do things for yourself?

I’m still kind of struggling with wake windows and feeling like I’m not doing enough.. I try to play with her a lot and do her kick piano, tummy time, practice grabbing toys, singing songs, and chatting with her!

My nights while daddy’s at work

Dads working away in the middle of the night leaving me and baby to sleep (or rather not sleep) through the night!! lol
I was actually so scared the first night he went back but we have truly learned to adapt and though I may be very tired I am no longer scared!! lol

Baby wrap

She was born at 5 lbs so I guess it just feels very weird now with her at 10 lbs?! How long can I wear my baby like this in these type of wraps?

Also her head is so close to mine is that okay?

Luckily I have found a video tutorial on how to get this type of wrap super tight so I haven’t had any issues with that!!

Also as she grows what type of wraps should I be looking for in the future?

Sleep regression

What did sleep regression look for you while bedsharing? I currently nurse to sleep my 12 week baby, and she usually just goes right to sleep after no other help needed. I guess I’m kind of wondering if that’s going to change and what kind of challenges I’ll be up against!

How the heck do you know if you’re doing nap time right?

My baby is 11 weeks and I feel like I’m fighting for my life doing nap time lol

How are you guys handling it? Also mind you, my child will not sleep alone ever. Max 26 mins in the snoo and that’s it

But I’m just not sure ever if she’s getting enough sleep or if I’m disturbing her sleep too much by planning outings… how do y’all handle this lol

Floor mattress or bed mattress?

Okay so we’ve been sleeping on a floor mattress in the living room but baby keeps being woken up by the rest of the household in the kitchen being super loud lol

I was thinking of investing in a very firm mattress for our room but the one we looked at was pretty spendy and made us start to question it. I’m having a pretty hard time falling asleep on the floor mattress lately because either my arm is falling asleep, my hips are aching, or my neck and back are getting messed up..

That’s what made me want to go the traditional mattress route but my partner is from Vietnam and they use primarily floor mats for sleeping and he thinks we should just switch to that long term..

Does anyone have any input on either?

He’s fine being on the ground long term and also saving alot of money but I’m worried I’ll never be able to get comfy lol

Anxiety about losing milk supply

I don’t have any issues with my supply but I did have to triple feed my baby for quite some time to protect my supply while she got better at removing milk efficiently.

I don’t know why but I can’t kick the anxiety about losing my supply. We’ve been EBF for two weeks now and I don’t know why I just feel so nervous about it.

Has anyone else experienced this before?

Chest to chest baby slipping

Baby previously slept perfectly fine chest to chest with me but recently has started slipping down and fighting me to be in the right position and I can’t figure out why! She also refuses to sleep on her back right now so as you can imagine this is a nightmare for bedtime.. talk about no sleep!!

She’s had abit of a stuffy nose lately and I’m fighting to make sure she’s in a good spot where she can breathe well.. does anyone have any advice or have experienced this?

When will I stop feeling resentful

My partner and I currently have different sleeping spaces and I’m alone with baby at night. The only time I need him is when I need to pump and can’t manage the child by myself. Why does he always say how tired he is every single day when I’m taking on everything the majority of the night.

I can’t stop obsessively tracking time, thinking okay baby slept 4 hours and I got up fed baby changed baby gave baby meds went back to bed after 45 min to an hour and then baby slept another 3-4 hours and then I need support of this feed so that means my partner was uninterrupted for around 7-8 hours?! How can he be tired?!

I keep trying to tell myself we both shouldn’t have to be miserable what’s the point in that but I just feel so resentful. Does anyone else have this problem and feel the same way?

My partner just genuinely sucks at waking up even with the same sleeping arrangement it was a nightmare and I still ended up mostly doing everything anyways because he was a nightmare to wake up.

I just want to feel validated that this sucks and women really end up taking on so much responsibility alone

Breastfeeding while pooping..

My girl is learning how to poop this past week and my god why does she always want to eat the same time she’s trying to poop.. I can even count the amount of times she unlatches, rips my nipple off and bobs around trying to find it again!! So frustrating! lol
