Like, think about it.

Scrawny adults that one may consider pathetic cowards and were hated by one of the two main protagonists of the series by the moment they arrived, being heavily easy to rip on. They had aspirations, hopes, dreams for the arts, but they never got it due to the people around them. Never stopped them from trying to get it though, as they would by their current ends despite the terrible worlds they currently live in.

Also, (might get controversial), but they are definitely "predators who act like prey". When Gangle and Jerry get even the slightest bit of power, they abuse it as much as they can and become condescending, rude, and acting like they are much more than they already are. And when it's taken? They become the exact same people they were.

The only good people in their lives are their douchey red (kinda) partners that encourage and prop them up when they're able to when Gangle and Jerry don't have power.

TBH, I don't really have any connections beside their vibe and personalities, but screw it this is now a thing

William favouring the son he named after himself is just so in character and makes FNAF 4 make way too much sense. I don't believe CC is named William Jr., but his name being such would be both hilarious and makes William's want to put him back together a lot more understandable (from his perspective)

Connections

• Arthur Curry and Donkey Kong, also better known as Aquaman and DK, are the light-eyed, easily angered, wavey-haired and bulky main protagonists of their iconic franchises and some of the oldest characters in their overall franchise history. As an extra note, they appeared in November.
• They were born to essentially the royal family of their fantastical and water-based lands, becoming hybrids and taking on the aspects of their fathers rather than their mothers (Arthur was born to Queen Atlanna, the queen of Atlantis, and Tom Curry, a human. DK was born to Donkey Kong Jr., the son of Donkey “Cranky” Kong, who is implied to have been the namesake of Donkey Kong Island of the Kong Isles, and a mother somewhat implied to be a monkey).
• During their childhoods, Arthur and DK were raised in lands that weren't their own, also showing their true power by the time they were just children (Arthur was raised in America and DK was raised in the Mushroom Kingdom).
• Arthur and DK owned magical items that the main antagonists of their series desperately desired to benefit themselves only (Black Manta wanted Arthur’s blood to gain more power and King K. Rool wanted DK’s bananas to satisfy his gluttony). This proceeded to fail and DK and Arthur to beat them up, costing the antagonists something they held dear (K. Rool's ship crashed and Manta lost his father).
• On the topic of their main antagonists, they are deranged and genius pirates with a history of war, the powers of mystical yellow objects designed to increase their power (the Yellow Lantern ring and the Banandium Root) and an obsession of attacking the ones Aquaman and DK care about to kill them and eventually usurp their lands.
• To reconnect with their lives and start helping the population, Arthur and DK moved to the main locations of their franchises by the encouragement of elderly and large bearded officials related to the royal family (Vulko was the advisor of the royal family and Cranky Kong was the patriarch).
• This would form the main teams of their series after Arthur and DK created new and contrasting titles for themselves that described them as king (Arthur became Aquaman, the King of Atlantis, and DK became the King of the Jungle), which included unusual and whacky individuals to have adventures and protect their lands (the Others and the Kong Family). However, as the years went on, Arthur and DK started to slowly part with them, but never split.
• Aquaman and DK possess iconic weapons related to former rulers (the Trident of Poseidon, a former king of the 7 seas, and barrels, which Cranky Kong used as weapons).
• Both characters have love interests to seductive and physically attractive creatures that weren't the same exact species of them, but were still related (Mera was a Xebilian and Candy Kong is more humanlike than the average Kong).
• Arthur and DK are one of the 7 main faces of groups destined for greatness (the Justice League and the 7 Star Children), which were brought together to defeat a genocidal and insane force that could destroy worlds (Darkseid and Adult Bowser).
• The sidekicks of Arthur and DK were young boys related to them that formed new identities and lives for themselves (Garth became a superhero named Tempest and Diddy Kong created a business).
• Around the early midpoint of their adventures, Arthur and DK lost their differently aged relatives that aided their heroism that were in association with the main antagonists (Aquaman’s son Arthur Curry Jr. was killed by Black Mantis and DK’s grandmother Wrinky Kong was the former teacher of King K. Rool).
• For a period of time, Aquaman and DK had weapons constantly in their hand and were in teams that were constantly in an uphill battle because of differently moralled and black-clad men (the Justice League that was defeated due to Batman's lack of trust in them and Skylanders was banished by Kaos).
• The groups of Aquaman and DK’s sidekicks had their minds completely altered by brainwashers (Lilith Clay and Tiki Tong Tribe).
• Because of the physiology of their, frankly, magical physiologies, Aquaman and DK are now superhumanly strong, fast and durable with immense reflexes and agility (Aquaman's Atlantean physiology and DK's star-imbued heart).
• The games of Aquaman and DK have been adapted into TV shows and movies, with majorly different portrayals and actors portraying them as either extremely goofy and silly guys or confident and cocky icons.
• Both characters have pretty much stated that they didn't need crowns to prove their high status, only their power.
• Aquaman and DK star in fighting games against characters from different franchises (Injustice and the Super Smash Bros. series) and are major roles in movies barely related to their true characters (Unaccompanied Minors and Pixels).
• Their inspirations are legendary and iconic kings from many years ago in the past (King Arthur/ ancient ocean gods and King Kong).
• A common trend for Aquaman and DK is preventing and stopping invasions of their kingdoms from the new villain of the week.
• Both have siblings of likely contrasting ages (Ocean Master is younger than Aquaman and Diddy Kong’s parent is probably older than DK).
• In alternat series, Aquaman and DK serve as villains that had good reasons to do evil, at least for themselves (In Injustice, Aquaman was forced by Superman to become evil. in Mario vs Donkey Kong, DK was always given the short end of the stick, causing him to lash out).
• The secondary antagonists of their series are helmeted military officials with a history to the royal family that are much stronger than they look (Ocean Master and Klump).
• Over the years, Aquaman and DK received large redesigns, especially to their faces (Aquaman gained more hair and a beard and DK started looking like Arcade DK).
• Some of the characters they are associated with are:
  • A just and noble hero in red and blue clothing (Superman and Mario) who broke the mould for their respective industries and established well known archetypes and tropes, becoming the main faces of their industries and the groups that Aquaman and DK are also a large part of (Superman is the face of comics and the Justice League and Mario is the face of gaming and the 7 Star Children).
  • Heavily traumatized and wealthy heroes of what are basically kid-friendly horror series whose goals are all due to fear, deciding to overcome it to the do the right thing against some of the most evil characters of their series (Batman and Luigi).
  • Dark-eyed, muscular, hot-tempered, moustached, spiky-haired, greedy, narcissistic anti-heroes who do whatever they want with little to no regard for others, adventuring far and wide while collecting massive boards of money, even going all over the cosmos just for profit (Lobo and Wario).
  • Charismatic, agile, hot-tempered, and acrobatic anarchists characterized by attractive mannerisms who do whatever they want without regard for others (Harley Quinn and Waluigi).
  • Princesses of ancient civilisations with powers from the heavens above that serve as the love interests of what are pretty much the main characters (Wonder Woman and Princess Peach).

Contrasts

• One of Aquaman's enemies is are a large gorilla that is one of the commanders of a villain team, like how DK leads the Kong Family (Gorilla Grodd). One of DK's enemies is a mind-controlling madman with the ability to brainwash others that control their own land, like how Aquaman can control fish and leads Atlantis (Waluigi).
• Aquaman is a sea-faring hero and DK is a land-dwelling hero.
• They are commonly parodied over the course of many series, such as controversial and raunchy parody franchises made to poke fun at the normal trope (the Deep in The Boys and DK's frequent appearances in Family Guy).
