Buck Leonard was called “the black Lou Gehrig” but according to Monte Irvin, if he had been allowed to play Major League Baseball, people would have called Lou Gehrig “the white Buck Leonard.”

Just got a legendary mail day! The card isn’t vintage, but the player most certainly is

He was sometimes called “the black Lou Gehrig” but according to Monte Irvin, if Leonard had been allowed to play Major League Baseball, people would have called Lou Gehrig “the white Buck Leonard.”

Hello, my name is Ok_Dimension and I would like to share with you this most amazing doublebock!

This doublebock is malty and smooth and sweet and so good. The poster is cast signed (travel show, not OG Broadway. I’m not made of money!)

I found a ‘58 Mantle newly listed on eBay and started the bidding off. Next thing I know, the listing is canceled! The nerve!

I knew this thing would get pulled as soon as the seller realized their mistake, so I found it hilarious. Glad I could be the one to throw out a bid before they found out!

The play is Hazel Kirke, which was the longest running Broadway play at the time, at 486 consecutive performances from February 1880 through May 1881. It held that record until 1885. Madison Square Theatre was part of innovations made in theater. It had a second stage, which was basically an elevator, which cut down on set change time.

This production was also the first time a theater set up separate companies to do traveling shows. On the second page, you’ll see they’re advertising the traveling company for “western cities.”

Anyway, I grabbed this as a Mother’s Day gift for my wife.

Firstly, the card and the drink/fire are different locations. Didn’t feel like bringing Yogi outside and near open flame.

Secondly, this tequila isn’t actually tequila but rather agave liquor because there are rules to what you call a thing. I got it on sale to try something new. It’s nice to try something new, but I shouldn’t have journeyed away from our usual Espolón.
