Im good with just reading but more can def be done. I already disbaled OTA updates.

So i just bought the kindle colorsoft and LOVE it. I currently have the gen 1 scribe (used for work, notes, etc…) and also love it, had it since released.

Curious if anyone switched from the gen 1 to the colorsoft scribe (32 gb). The 20% trade in+ 10% cash back make it very attractive.

This might sound ridiculous, but I’m in my mid-30s and I’ve never read a book cover to cover.
Between my undergraduate degree and MBA, I always got by reading only the assigned chapters. Later in life, I was diagnosed with both dyslexia and ADHD, which helped explain why reading had always felt so difficult.
So I decided to challenge myself: read an entire book from beginning to end. I bought a Kindle to give myself the best chance of succeeding, and I’m currently 55% of the way through The Da Vinci Code.
Honestly, this is a bigger accomplishment for me than I can properly put into words.
This device has genuinely helped me, and I’m thrilled to have made it this far. It got me wondering: how many of you carry a Kindle every day and actually read out in the wild? Does it leave the house with you, or is it mostly a couch-and-bed device?

This guy did a DIY EREV and added a generator to his lightning. Interesting concept and with backing I’m sure it would only get better. Kinda confused on what his total boost was but it would only help.
Anyone see this before?

I can’t believe I’m even typing this, but after 6 months on this journey—with a strict diet, consistent exercise, and a lot of learning—I’m only 5 pounds away from my goal weight.

One of the biggest surprises? Nutrition. I had no idea I was eating less than 40% of the protein my body actually needed.

For those who have already hit their goal weight: what was the reward? New clothes? A vacation? Relief from constantly thinking about food and fitness? What was the moment that made you say, “I made it”?

For me, it’s simple: going shirtless at a pool.

I’ve struggled with body image for as long as I can remember. Honestly, this is the first time in my life that I’ve felt comfortable in my own skin. Even talking about it feels surreal.

I’m beyond thrilled with the progress.

And if you’re still working toward your goal—keep going. You absolutely can do this.

Been using my 1S for a few months now and enjoy the experience overall, just felt it was lacking some better interface. Fast forward to last week and i purchased/setup a generic scroll ring from Amazon (used to scroll tiktok, instagram, etc…). Gotta say i was more impressed with in than not. Maybe not helpful for everyone but if you commute via train, plane, etc… or just want to not hold your phone I’d recommend it.

Anyone else have useful hints or accessories?

I’ve been using a cheaper rolling hard cover for about a year now and gotta say…kinda regretting it and wished i bought a backflip. With such a short bed anything else seems to make the bed very limited.

Curious to hear what everyone is using and the pros/cons

Never thought this day would even come but i was IN and OUT of the pool without a shirt. I was even talking to a few people outside of the pool and never felt the need to “cover up”. I ran to the bathroom then because nature called, i saw myself in the mirror without no shirt, but saw a new person with so much more…confidence…a smile…i did tear up w bit but it was from a sense of accomplishment.

Been on this journey for 5 months now, i am close to my goal but not there yet so have a bit to go but had to share this amazing feel/accomplishment with those that needed it.

After a few years of ownership I’ve only just realized how limited my Gen 1 scribe is and want to jailbreak it (I’ve rooted and jailbroken many devices but this would be my first kindle jailbreak) soi have a few questions

Currently running 5.19.3.0.1: i understand this is not currently possible so am i SOL it can i factory reset to earlier version?
Factory reset: anyway i can back up my notes and data before the reset?(have a lot of cute artwork and just random notes)
Anything else im missing?

Backed: Been using my xreal 1s for 3 months in my iphone and macbook and i really do enjoy the experience but i feels lacking overall. I purchased the beam pro to help and tbh…it feels more limited.

Question: what am i missing? Do i need a samsung galaxy device for full use? Is this more of an external display rather than apple’s headseg??

Seriously wth is even going on with the city. How/why isnt this rebuilt already and to hear its going to cost tens of millions of dollars! For what?! Are they build a skyscraper? No way this was put out for bid.
