Yellow stains/shiny marks on Uniqlo AIRism tees

Hi everyone, I’m having a frustrating issue with my Uniqlo AIRism T-shirts and was wondering if anyone has experienced something similar.

My white AIRism tees develop pretty noticeable yellow sweat stains that don’t come out with regular stain remover. If anything, they seem to have become more noticeable after washing.

My darker AIRism tees (navy, black and dark grey) have a different issue: weird white/shiny spots that are only visible at certain angles when the light reflects off the fabric. They almost look like heat or ironing marks, but I’ve never ironed or steamed them.

Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to get these marks out without damaging the fabric?

I’m also considering switching to the ARKET Relaxed T-Shirt (220 GSM). Does anyone know how its fit compares to the Uniqlo AIRism tee? I like the relaxed/oversized fit of the Uniqlo and would ideally want something fairly similar.

Kérastase for fine but very dense hair? Densifique vs Nutritive vs Genesis

Hey everyone,

I have a lot of fine hair. It’s very dense overall, but because the strands are so fine, it gets weighed down really easily. Instead of looking full, it often just becomes flat and gets this weird, heavy, almost padded-down texture that I really don’t like.

My hair also feels a bit contradictory: after blow-drying it can feel slightly dry, but if I use wax or paste, by the next morning it often just feels greasy, sticky, and flat.

My main goal is more texture, lift, and natural volume.

I’ve been looking at Kérastase Densifique Bain Densité, but since my hair is slightly dry, I’m wondering whether Nutritive Bain Satin or maybe even Genesis would be a better choice. My hair isn’t falling out, so I’m not sure whether Genesis or the Homme range is really meant for me.

Has anyone with similar hair had good results with any of these?

Looking for a low-maintenance hairstyle for flat hair and oval face shape

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for a hairstyle that works better with my natural hair and face shape. Right now I have some styling product in my hair in the photos, but my biggest issue is that after about 1–2 days without washing, it becomes really flat and dense. I don’t mind washing my hair every couple of days, but I’d love a style that still looks decent throughout the day and doesn’t completely collapse if there’s a bit of wind or I run my hands through it.

I also feel like my current hairstyle isn’t doing my face any favors. My head is a bit longer, and it’s noticeably wider at the top than at the jaw, so I’d prefer something that doesn’t emphasize that shape as much. I also have a fairly large forehead, so I’m not really looking for a middle part—I tried one before, and it just made my forehead look even bigger.

Ideally, I’m looking for:

A hairstyle that’s fairly easy to maintain (around 5–10 minutes of styling in the morning).

A haircut that’s versatile rather than tied to one specific style—something that can be styled in different ways depending on the day.

A look that’s slightly more polished or can be styled in a more formal way when needed, without looking overly formal all the time.

Which Sol de Janeiro projects the most? Torn between 76 and 59.

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a Sol de Janeiro scent that has strong projection and decent longevity. I already own some perfumes, but I'd like a body mist that I can layer with a matching body cream or lotion to make the scent last longer.

For context, I absolutely love Cheirosa 68. It's probably my favorite SDJ scent, but unfortunately it disappears incredibly fast on me. Perfume in general doesn't seem to last very well on my skin, so I'm looking for something that performs a bit better. For comparison, fragrances like Lattafa Éclair and Khamrah last really well on me, while Yara  disappears quite quickly.

I'm currently debating between Cheirosa 76 and Cheirosa 59.

I have mixed feelings about 59. At first it smells quite synthetic on my skin, but after it settles I actually really like it. The problem is that by the time I enjoy the dry down, it's already fading. One thing I do like is that 59 comes in a set with a mini body cream and travel-size mist, which seems like a nice way to test it before committing to the full size.

I also really like 71, but I'd prefer something that's a little less gourmand since I mainly want this for layering rather than as my main fragrance.

Ideally, something that layers well with both Lattafa Éclair and Ariana Grande Mod Vanilla—I know that's probably asking a lot, haha.

So, for those who've tried them:

  • Which Sol de Janeiro scent projects the most?
  • Between 76 and 59, which one lasts longer and has better projection?
  • Is 76 worth getting even without a matching body cream, or would you go for 59 because of the layering options?

I'd love to hear your experiences, especially if perfume tends to disappear quickly on your skin too.

Are there any relatively sheer, almost undetectable KIKO Milano lip glosses?

I'm a guy looking for a KIKO Milano lip gloss, or another brand that's somewhere between drugstore and high-end. Ideally, I'd like something that gives my lips only the slightest hint of color while mostly just adding shine. I don't want anything heavily pigmented or glittery.

One issue I have is that my lips can develop a slightly grey-looking line on the inner part throughout the day, which makes them look a bit dull. I'm hoping a sheer gloss with a subtle neutral or cool-toned tint will help disguise that without looking like I'm obviously wearing makeup.

I've tried using Vaseline and (a few) other lip balms, and they definitely help with hydration. However, I feel like a very subtle tint might help make the discoloration less noticeable for longer.

I'm looking for something more affordable than Summer Fridays or Rhode, but a little more premium than brands like Essence, Catrice, or e.l.f.

Does KIKO Milano have any glosses that fit what I'm looking for? If not, I'd also appreciate recommendations from similar mid-range brands.

(18M) Looking for very subtle, natural-looking makeup recommendations (Netherlands)

Hey everyone,

I’m a guy who’s looking for some very subtle, natural-looking makeup to even out my complexion without it being obvious that I’m wearing makeup.

My main concerns are:
Uneven skin tone
Some acne and skin texture
Redness around my nose
Mild dark circles (so I’m looking for a concealer)
Possibly a very subtle contour and/or blush
A brow gel (clear or tinted) to make my brows look a bit fuller.
Maybe a clear or tinted mascara that mainly adds color to my lashes rather than length or volume

So far I’ve tried:

e.l.f. Hydrating Camo Concealer– unfortunately it looks quite noticeable on my skin. That may partly be because my skin has some texture, so it doesn’t apply very smoothly.

e.l.f. Camo Liquid Bronzer & Contour– even when I use a tiny amount, it ends up looking like I’ve been punched in the face rather than giving a natural shadow.

I’m currently considering products like:
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
Essence Skin Tint / Silky Blur(if that’s a better affordable option)

For contour, I’ve seen people recommend the Catrice Cool Grey Contour Stick, but I’m not sure if it’s subtle enough for a natural look.

For brows, I’ve tried the Essence Lash & Brow Gel Mascara (clear),but it doesn’t have much hold, it works ok I guess. I’ve also tried the Essence brow lift and freeze glue,it seems to work quite well, but it’s WAY too sticky for my lashes.

Finally, does anyone know of an affordable mascara (available at Kruidvat, Etos, or Douglas in the Netherlands) that mainly darkens lashes instead of adding lots of volume or length? I’m after a “your lashes, but darker” effect.

One thing worth mentioning is that I don’t mind spending a bit more if a product is genuinely worth it, but since I’m still figuring out whether makeup is something I’ll keep using long-term, I’d prefer to stay on the affordable side for now.
I also live in the Netherlands, so many products that are commonly recommended online aren’t available here. If possible, I’d really appreciate recommendations that I can buy from Kruidvat, Etos, or Douglas (their (Dutch) websites).

Thanks in advance! I’d love to hear what products have worked well for people who are aiming for a very natural, “no-makeup makeup” look.

Looking for a very long-lasting affordable perfume (Lattafa?) – considering Eclaire vs Her Confession

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a fragrance that actually lasts on me, because unfortunately almost nothing seems to.
To give some context: even fragrances that people describe as long-lasting tend to disappear very quickly on my skin. The only way I can get decent longevity is by using a strongly scented body lotion or body butter underneath. For example, something like the Sol de Janeiro 68 body butter works well. If I use an unscented lotion, it doesn’t seem to make much of a difference. (The perfume still disappears)

I’m based in the Netherlands and would prefer something affordable and available in stores like Douglas, because I’d rather smell fragrances in person than blind-buy online.

The vibe I’m going for is something like:
Rich
Sophisticated
High-end

At the moment I’m debating between Lattafa Eclaire and Lattafa Her Confession.
The problem is that Eclaire doesn’t really match the vibe I’m describing, but I genuinely love the scent and I’ve heard it has good longevity. Gourmand fragrances also seem to perform better on me than many other scent profiles.

For example, I really like Lattafa Yara. I want to love it. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t last on me.
And before anyone suggests nose blindness: I’ve tested that.

One day I wore Yara and a friend immediately noticed it when she greeted me and gave me a hug. She said I smelled great. About 30–60 minutes later, I asked her if she could still smell it. She couldn’t really anymore. I then showed her the bottle and she confirmed that Yara was indeed what she’d smelled earlier. So in my case it doesn’t seem to be just me going nose-blind—it genuinely fades very quickly.

Technically Yara lingers on clothing, but only faintly, and I need to spray a lot of it. A couple sprays on my neck and wrists aren’t enough. I feel like I have to absolutely drench a sweater in it for it to remain noticeable, which isn’t practical and isn’t something I want to do.

Another thing is that I don’t want to compensate for poor longevity by simply spraying more and more perfume.

With Yara, for example, I can absolutely smell it when I first apply it, and I really enjoy those first 30 minutes or so. The problem is that after that, it seems to fade extremely quickly on me. To make it last longer, I feel like I’d have to apply far more than I normally would want to.

The issue is that I don’t want to be that person who walks into a room leaving a huge fragrance cloud behind them. I’m very aware that some people are sensitive to perfume, and I don’t want to give anyone a headache or make them uncomfortable just because I’m trying to get my fragrance to last throughout the day.

Ideally I’d like a fragrance where:
2–4 sprays are enough
I can still smell it after 5+ hours
Other people can still smell it after several hours
I don’t have to carry around a body mist and constantly reapply

So my questions are:

Is Her Confession actually long-lasting?

Does it project well?

Between Eclaire and Her Confession, which would you recommend?

Are there any other affordable fragrances (Lattafa or otherwise) that fit that powerful, sophisticated, expensive-lawyer vibe while also having genuinely strong longevity?

Thank you so much in advance!

(Donker blauw, zwart, wit, soms bruin or grijs)

Alvast heel erg bedankt!

Are people at HBO/university generally more individualistic and less concerned with what others are doing? When compared to high school?

(Apologies if this post is a little rambly or awkwardly worded. I'm trying my best to explain what I mean.)

Hey everyone,

I'm starting HBO soon (something in the area of Law or Political Science), and there's something l've been wondering about.

I've often heard that once you get into higher education, people become a lot more individualistic and focused on their own lives. By that I mean that people generally have a more "live and let live" attitude, where they don't really care what someone else is wearing, what bag they're carrying, what hobbies they have, or how they choose to present themselves. (Within reason of course)

My experience in high school was very different.
There was a lot of gossip, judging people, commenting on appearances, and generally being concerned with what others people were doing.
Because of that, I sometimes still find myself wondering whether people will judge me for relatively small things like my clothing, glasses, or other things.

So I'm curious: in fields like Law, Public Administration, Political Science, and similar programs, do people generally just let others do their own thing?
Obviously, I know there will always be some judgmental people everywhere, and I'm not expecting everyone to be perfectly mature. I'm more interested in the overall atmosphere. Do students mostly focus on their studies, work, internships, friends, and their own lives, or is there still a lot of attention paid to what other people are doing?

One thing I should probably clarify:
I'm not expecting or wanting people to completely ignore me. I'm a fairly social and outgoing person, and I'm looking forward to meeting new people.
What I'm really wondering is whether people generally just let others do their own thing.
For example, if someone is wearing something a bit different from what's typical, like a long oversized trench coat, is that the kind of thing people actually pay attention to? Or do most people just think
"that's their style" and move on?

For those who have made the transition from high school to HBO or university, did it teel noticeably more independent and individualistic? l'a love to hear your experiences.

Thanks so much in advance!!

Affordable men’s tote/shopper bag for university? (25–30L, unisex but not overly feminine)

I’m starting college/university soon and I’m looking for a bag that’s big enough for daily study use, but I’m struggling to find something that fits what I’m after.

DISCLAIMER; I’m from the Netherlands, so the general style here is a bit different from what I often see recommended online. Clothing tends to be more relaxed and slightly oversized, while also being a bit more formal than typical casual American college wear. So if you have recommendations, please keep that in mind.

Ideally, I’m looking for a men’s tote bag, shopper, carryall, or whatever you’d like to call it. Something relatively unisex is completely fine, but a lot of the “unisex” options I’ve found online lean quite feminine, which isn’t really the look I’m going for.
My requirements are roughly:

Budget: under $100 (although I’m not sure how realistic that is)
Capacity: around 25–30 liters
Large enough for a laptop, books, chargers, water bottle, etc.
Not as large as a weekender bag
Bigger than a typical leather briefcase
Durable enough to be thrown around and stuffed full of random daily essentials
Preferably not real leather

The reason I don’t want real leather is that where I live it rains a lot, and I don’t want to constantly worry about keeping a leather bag dry or maintaining it.

I also don’t really like the look of backpacks, which is making this search a bit more difficult.
Does anyone have recommendations for affordable tote/shopper bags that work well for college or university and don’t look overly formal or overly feminine?

Thanks!

Flying Air France for the first time – should I be worried about the cabin crew?

Hey everyone,

I’m going to be flying Air France for the first time soon, and I’m honestly really excited. I love flying, and one of my favorite parts of the experience is interacting with the cabin crew.

I’m actually considering becoming cabin crew myself someday, hopefully with KLM. Because of that, I always like talking to crew members when they’re not busy and hearing about their experiences.

I also have a little tradition where I bring small gift bags for the crew. Nothing extravagant, usually things like chapstick, gum, small chocolates, candies, etc., along with a handwritten thank-you card. I make enough for every crew member working my cabin.

So far, I’ve had really positive experiences doing this on KLM, Delta, and United. The crews have always been kind, welcoming, and happy to chat when they had time.

The one exception was Virgin Atlantic. What’s funny is that before flying them, I’d read so many positive reviews about their cabin crew. Unfortunately, my experience was pretty disappointing. The crew didn’t really greet me when I boarded, didn’t react much when I gave them the gifts, and throughout the flight they seemed pretty uninterested in interacting with passengers. They weren’t rude, but they were very distant. I remember several of them chatting with each other about a football match they were planning to attend, but they barely acknowledged me during service.

Of course, I know everyone can have an off day, and one flight doesn’t represent an entire airline. Still, because I’d heard such glowing reviews beforehand, I ended up feeling pretty disappointed.

That’s what makes me a little nervous about Air France.

I’ve heard mixed things about their cabin crew, especially in Economy and especially from non-French speakers. Some people say they’re wonderful, while others describe them as cold or uninterested.

I don’t speak French very well, basically just enough to say hello, introduce myself, and have a very simple conversation. I even mentioned that in the thank-you card I’m giving the crew.

For those of you who have flown Air France, what should I realistically expect? If I give the crew my usual gift bags and ask whether I could talk with them later in the flight if they have time, is that something they’d generally be receptive to?

I’m trying not to set my expectations too high, but I’m genuinely excited about this flight and would hate to end up disappointed again.

Any advice or experiences would be appreciated!

Edit: A few people seem to think I’m expecting the crew to spend the flight talking to me or that I’m looking for special treatment. That’s not what I mean at all.

I turned 18 just a few weeks ago, I’m an aspiring flight attendant, and I’ve been fascinated by aviation for as long as I can remember. I genuinely get excited every time I fly, and one of the things I enjoy most is meeting the people who work in the industry.

When I say I like talking to the crew, I mean only if they happen to have a few free minutes and are clearly not busy working. Safety and passenger service always come first, and I would never expect a crew member to stop doing their job to chat with me.

I simply enjoy hearing about their experiences, what they like about the job, their favorite aircraft, how they got started, etc. Sometimes crew members enjoy talking about their career, and sometimes they’re busy, and that’s completely fine too.

Hallo,
