The Outfield - All the Love in the World
Wanted to post a lesser known song from what is in my opinion one of the greatest debut records of all time. This band should be more of a household name instead of just a band that is known for their one massive hit “Your Love.”
I’m also curious if anybody has any insight or idea how the singer Tony Lewis passed away. There was never really much information given.
Do you guys think David Gilmour could shred Jason Becker/Eddie Van Halen style if he really wanted to?
Gilmour is a beast of a guitar player but do you think he ever picks his guitar and tries to shred 80’s hair metal style when he’s just messing around in his free time? Do you think he could rip through scales at an incredible rate if he wanted to?
Happy Texas Chainsaw Day
Pretty neat little cheap-O piece of memorabilia they are selling at Spirit Halloween this year. Came with some silly ass socks too but I gave them to my wife because I’m not a sock kind of guy.
Has anybody seen this one?
I got curious and watched it on YouTube. It’s one of the stranger movies I’ve seen but I kind of liked it and ordered it. By no means is it a “good” movie but it is a fun movie kind of in the vein of Spookies or Nightbreed.
Humanoids From The Deep (1980) - Anybody feel like this could have been a Creepshow segment?
I watched this movie for the first time yesterday and was amazed by how entertaining it was. I feel like it would fit perfectly as a Creepshow segment.
Anybody remember this game? I feel like it doesn’t get talked about enough.
Does B&N online restock at some point during the sale?
Or should I believe what I read online that they don’t restock until the sale is over? A majority of what I wanted is out of stock online.
My Arrow sale selections from someone who has a self proclaimed pathetic taste in movies.
I haven’t seen Brain Damage yet but from what I’ve heard and the couple minutes I did see it looks awesome.
Can anyone here tell me if the drums on this album are midi or actual drums?
I can usually tell if drums are real or not on these older deathcore albums but with this one I’m kind of having a hard time determining. The cymbals sound like they are lacking some serious sustain and the snare sounds really puny. I love the album but the drum sounds throws me off a bit.
From the perspective of someone who never cared much for this band during their most successful years.
I just want to say after never really liking Korn back in the late 90’s when Follow The Leader was all over the place I have finally bought my first Korn record “Life Is Peachy.” It absolutely rips but the thing is none of their other records are anything like it. The debut record is somewhat similar musically but isn’t quite as aggressive. Also, Jonathan Davis hadn’t found his voice yet and seems to be channeling a cross between Layne Stayley and Eddie Veddar. For me, that’s what holds the debut back. Anyway, it seems wild that the band don’t acknowledge “Life Is Peachy” as being one of their best records.

roughtrade.comBobby Miller future roll
I remember when the majority of us were pretty hyped about Miller. It’s kind of crazy and puzzling how hard he fell off. Does anybody here think he will ever contribute to the big league club as a reliever some day?
Did I make these street tacos more difficult than they need to be?
First time ever making street tacos. They came out incredible but I can’t help but wonder if mincing raw flank steak is making it much harder than it needs to be?
Door to Door
Just felt compelled to make a quick post about “Door to Door” and how I feel it is a somewhat overlooked album in The Cars discography. I wasn’t around when The Cars were at their peak but I have gotten the impression that this record seems to be towards the bottom for most fans of the band. I’d venture to say it’s their fourth best record behind Candy-O, Self Titled and Heartbeat City. Feel free to share some thoughts if you have any. On a side note the RSD Heart Beat City live album sounded surprisingly great.
