reddit.comThe AI chatbots will never give you a clear answer until you bring up a conspiracy theory. Then they suddenly become confident like you can hundred percent trust the big tech; the big billionaires love you.
⚠️ Warning ⚠️ This is your final notice before the subreddit is flooded with "OMG look at the rain" bullshit over the next couple of days like it's some rare phenomenon.
Redditors will mob lynch you if step outside their comfort zone of moral grandstanding.
Using the term "ragebait" for annoying behaviour in real life
The term was specifically created for the internet. It means posting intentionally controversial nonsense to farm angry engagement, clicks, comments etc.
It first showed up in those DIY videos where they would do something quirky, add unnecessary steps, waste materials while pretending to be serious and non satirical, just to get reactions out of their viewers.
Someone saying or doing something irritating or annoying in a real life situation is not “ragebaiting". It's just annoying behaviour. They're not farming mass engagement from it.
Some people just see a new word and try to use it however they can because they think it somehow makes them look cool.
