being 8 or 9 sukuna fingers does not mean being relative in to 8 or 9 finger sukuna

i dont know why this needs to be said because it should be really obvious with the fingerbearer being neg diffed by sukuna early on, but jogo IS 8-9 fingers worth of power. however, the fingers do not represent that amount of power when its given to sukuna, as he is not only a well of power but also top 2 most skilled minimum.

"are you the strongest because youre ryomen sukuna or are you ryomen sukuna because youre the strongest" ahh

what im trying to say is that finger powerscaling needs to keep the fingers isolated from sukuna, because sukuna with x fingers will always be stronger than a character worth x fingers, with the sole exception of satoru gojo of course

it is not a downscale or retcon or even kenjaku lying to jogo, but rather a misinterpretation of the scale. sukuna's fingers rate you in terms of CE and CE output, not how many fingers of sukuna youd beat in a fight, because in all likelihood theres a world where yuta gets twotapped by 7F sukuna

if kakyoin was alive in part 6, would pucci be cooked by him?

the 50 meter radius emerald splash was basically impossible for dio to deal with without cheating it with timestop, could pucci even break out?

i am a top 5 welt glazers and these guys somehow think about him more than i do

seriously welt slander is getting so tired. apparently every post needs a mention of how welt loses the matchup for some reason. and somehow theyve convinced 90% of this sub that the strawman welt overglaze they saw one time is more overbearing than them trashing on the character 50 times a day

hit count increase in anime might not be a downscale

most mappa upscales are based on drastically increasing DC and hitcounts for the characters, which many people have said means that kashimo wont be able to 3-hits discharge anymore, but what if he still can but instead chooses not to?

maybe the upscale will actually be that he can continue hitting to accumulate charge that increases his AoE and DC when discharge is fully unleashed, making him actually have massive lethal lightning attacks instead of the(already cool dont get me wrong) thin-lethal bolts.

which would make everyone shut up about kashimo vs mahoraga

if iori was alive in the edo period, would he chase after kashimo?

lets say that iori was obsessed with strength because of how much weaker the edo period was compared to the heian era(or possibly sengoku period, depending on how strong they were) and so he was trying to figure out why.

how do you think kashimo would react to him?

i wonder if theres a possibility that having someone coming not to challenge him, but to question him, might make him keep iori around like sukuna did with uraume.

theory: foul legacy and the real purpose of visions

hello everyone! given the coming of snezhnaya and the increasing spotlight of the heavenly principles, ive been thinking a lot about the foul legacy form of childe.

the key detail of the foul legacy im thinking of is that, under normal circumstances, despite there being many power sources, the laws of teyvat do not allow the use of multiple sources of elemental power. while harbingers often use delusions as alternate forms or powerups, they are not able to use both of these at the same time.

the foul legacy childe bypassed this restriction, allowing him to use his electro delusion and hydro vision in tandem and even amplify each other.

the third descender was said to have "brought blasphemous wisdom and illusions that enabled mortals to break through the shackles of the land and question the gods." i believe that this power, which would later be taken and named by surtalogi, was the foul legacy.

you might be wondering where visions come into play, and it has to do with the way visions are granted as well as the definition of a descender. descenders are people who have the "will to rival the world itself." descenders have historically been the greatest enemies of the heavenly principles, with both the second and third descenders going into direct conflict with him(and its not looking good for civil relations with the fourth). and yet, visions are also granted to people with strong wills and ambitions, granting power straight to phanes's natural enemies.

except, no visionbearer is a descender, right? in fact, no one from teyvat has ever "become" a descender. the obvious guess is that, well, a descender must be an alien of course to descend, but does that mean that humans of teyvat just have weaker wills than aliens? more so, it seems that their wills have already been subjugated by the laws of teyvat.

my theory is that visions arent a blessing at all, but basically the "descender prevention program" of teyvat. while they grant power, it shackles their will to the "one power" law of teyvat. visionbearers have no reason to seek more power than that which was gifted to them, as they couldnt use it at the same time with other powers anyway. by using this law, phanes successfully prevented any descenders from rising against him in teyvat.

but the exception might be childe.

rate the archons from strongest to weakest

all in strongest forms but separate ruler of death authority mavuika

my personal ratings:

  1. Ruler of Death authority Mavuika

  2. Rex Lapis

  3. Raiden Ei

  4. Base Mavuika

  5. Venti

  6. Nahida

  7. Focalor

for quick justifications on my picks:

ruler of death authority supercedes archon level. it is relative but a bitbbelow trilune authority imo as both have shown the capability to break false sky, but the heretic of the false moon dottore break it way wider open(either way, heretic is far above archons.) i think its pretty established that ei and zhongli are top 2 outside of ruler mavuika but zhongli prime subjugated all of liyue through raw force which was a land filled with tons of heavyhitters like osial and azdaha, so i think his opponents overall are better qualifying. the creation of guyun imo also matches up his DC levels to ei's island splitting. they are close but i think zhongli takes it out. mavuika stalemates capitano, who is rated as the highest among both dottore and columbina who are also archon level, so i put both her and capitano at high archon but they dont have the feats to match up to zhongli and ei although i think its close. venti has his archon war feats but afaik nahida and focalor dont have very much of anything, i put nahida over focalor because shes shown more hax on screen.

why are people so convince that there will be an electro off fielder to replace yae?

none of the lunar reactions had elemental differences in the duo characters, so why wouldnt sandrone's flagship just have a cryo support? tsaritsa maybe even?

theres no pattern to suggest theyre going to release an electro character for it when they didnt do that method for any other of the new reactions. and how do people seriously think that the limited 5 star electro off fielder is more likely to get replaced than Qiqi???????

celestial gift or instructor on mona?

hello! ive recently revisited my team options for mualani and realized that after hexerei buffs, everyone seems to use mona and sucrose? my previous team used xilonen and candace, so its a bit jarring for me, but i want to have the best team i can make for her

i noticed most people say that they use instructor mona, which would be fine for me since i can just use my candace artifacts, but doesnt the new celestial gift set sound very good? with sucrose in the team as well it seems like its basically the same as hero of cinder city.

does anyone know if the instructor buff is still better than this? if it changes anything, my team is mualani, sucrose, xiangling, mona

robin or RMC with gilgamesh?

hello everyone, i plan to pull E1 gilgamesh to play with saber but im wondering what i should swap out for him. my current team is

E0S1 Saber

E0S0 DHPT

E0S0 Robin(bronya LC)

E6S5 RMC

i was thinking that robin would be better because she buffs both saber and gilgamesh at the same time while mem buff only applies to one, but im not sure. i dont have any other harmonies because i am deeply irresponsible

if megumi shares sukuna's shadows, could he use the deaths of agito and mahoraga to super-amp divine dogs totality?

no one say shit about potential im tired of it on every post about theoretical megumi ok

after megumi was separated from sukuna's body we saw he still had divine dogs totality, but can he continue adding shadows to it? the way i see it divine dogs could take mahoraga, nue, round deer, and morning tiger for itself to become a one-size-fits-all type shikigami. also, with the idea that sukuna being in megumi's body allowed him to gain the shrine technique(along with a CE buff and soul knowledge) i like the idea that he could channel shrine through divine dogs totality, giving it a ranged attack(dismantle), a super-buff to his melee attacks(cleave) and maybe something with fuga? but i dont really know what id do with it.

this super amped totality is just a super cool concept to me. it also adds a ton of angst to "modulo megumi" because he would be walking around with a chimera representing the deaths of all his pets, which is pretty tragic if you ask me.

ALSO domain expansion concept based on this. its known that megumi always had trouble with applying his technique to a barrier, but with sukuna in his body, wouldnt he have the framework to expand his domain without one? with enough training time, which he got basically infinite of, i like the idea that megumi got an open barrier domain that utilizes this superpowered divine dogs totality as the main attack. it would set its range by expanding his shadow up to a radius of 500ft(maybe smaller but making it big is a fun upscale) like sukuna's, the shadow consuming any nonsorcerers/objects and forcing sorcerers to reinforce their feet to stay out of the shadow, and then a supermassive divine dogs totality would rise up and ingesting everything inside its massive maw.

what do you guys think of these concepts? by far the coolest idea i had from it is that open barrier domain, since the only two open barrier domains weve seen so far are "attack everything around it repeatedly," but i think its a really cool concept that has a lot of things you can do with it

is anyone else disappointed that the treasure hoarders didnt really play a big role in any of the nodkrai archon quests?

the treasure hoarders have been mostly neglected as a minor threat since the game's launch, but with nodkrai they were included in the teasers which got me really hopeful that they were going to be portrayed as a more "real" organization, sort of like how team rocket/giovanni always ends up a menacing threat at the end of pokemon games after being clowned on, but other the world quests i feel like theyve still barely been addressed?

i was expecting to meet treasure hoarder elites, get playable characters, learn about the organization's greater plans and what theyre doing to achieve it, but they still just feel like the most NPC coded of all the villains in the game.

i personally expected them to be competing with the wild hunt, since before the first quest the wild hunt was the biggest unknown in the teasers, but after everything played out i feel sort of lost for what their point is in the game other than to get beat up in liyue.
