I absolutely love my Asus Stix G18 with Intel core ultra 9 275hx and RTX 5080, 32GB DDR5 ram, and 4tb nvme drive. I have a desktop with a Ryzen 7 9800x3d and 5080, 32gb DDR5 ram and 4tb nvme at home, so its nice to keep my settings ultra and my fps through through the roof. Its amazing to me I can get a very similar experience on the go to my desktop at home.
Currently camping for a week and after the kids are in bed doing their own thing or sleeping its nice to catch up on Black flag resynced and some Resident Evil Requiem!

I added a Curt sway bar and hitch and you almost dont even feel the trailer move back there. It tows really well!
I just got the Rhino 36gal RV tote tank! We only have a 20gal black tank and 20gal grey tank. The black tank doesnt fill up fast but the grey does, especially when the kids want to shower after a long day. Sp far we have always stayed at sites with sewer hookup on site to avoid the tanks getting full and needing to pack up to go drain them. Im definitely looking forward to longer stays in more camp grounds now thay we dont have to have sewer hookups! Silly thing tp get excited about, but convenient for sure!
Site notw for those that have one, where do you store it? Thinking of hanging it up in the garage somewhere on a wall but space is limited, curious what others do?
I live in the Quad cities in iowa. My wife and I are getting a weekend away form the kids for the 1st time in 3 years and literally our 4th date in the same time. We are going camping and wanna go somewhere that has some fun stuff to explore but also has a nice campground. Water and electricity but don't need on site sewer. We spent 2 and a half hr last night trying to find somewhere along the river but they were all booked or looked run down. We wanna stay about 2 hr or less. We looked in iowa/ IL/ Wisconsin. We tried Google, and the RV life app. We are really struggling to find something for 9/11-9 13 my wife is ready to give up and go camping here in town 15 min away but that sounds terrible since we do that with the kids fairly often. Help save our anniversary! If you can help us find some awesome places to camp thats got availability or other apps that can make searching easy im all ears thanks in advance!
If you're tired of breaking the cheap clips on the end of the tailgate get the fastener kit from harbor freight and use the 5/16th sized clips. Much beefier and fit perfectly. They fit snug so stuff doesn't get under the clip and pop it off or just snap it in half the the oem ones. Tried swapping one out like a year ago and its held up great so swapped all them out today.
Gotta love a quick and easy job after working all day. 20min total and this suv is back to running normal! He's been having some intermittent issues with power and a service light would pop on then disappear. Figured the throttle body or mass air flow sensor had gotten too dirty, so was originally going to just clean it and see what happens but then last night his check engine light came on. Used the Maddox MR16 to read the code and the throttle body was stuck close and no longer functioning. Quick run to the auto store and threw in a new one and he's good to go! Was my first time using the icon underhood flood light bar and gotta say im a fan. So much more light in the bay right where you need it.
Could probably push it farther but im happy here. It runs fine in game, stays around 68C (no undervold) yes Ik I need to look into it for more gains and lower temps. And has run very stable! So happy with this "budget card" and the 5080 in general. Ppl are quick to hate, based on price and performance vs last gen cards, but forget to talk about how well these cards overclock!

Edit: this is at 1440p not 4k and still only getting 45fps.

Bios, gpu drivers, and windows all up to date. But only getting around 45fps with max settings and path tracing on. When watching videos online to compare i should be getting around 100fps. I verified i am using the dedicated gpu and not the I gpu. Whats the next steps to take? Gpu is around 60c so its not over heating or nothing like that.

Feels like maybe the gears inside broke. If I manually turn it. It will spin about half way then stop again. How much of a pain is it to replace the arm? I've swapped the S7 v mac ultra lidar before and taken apart my s4 so Im not new to opening them up, but ive never had one with an arm that moves out.
So with the leak from a credible source saying super cards are back on the table for fall and vram prices supposedly due to come down... do I get a 5080 now, or should I wait until fall for the 5080 super with higher power usage/ clocks and 24gb vram?
I was born with one full hand and missing digits on my right hand, im a right handed golfer. Been golfing for about 8 years, depending on the year and how much I've played I've avg around 115 down to upper 90s. Been playing a bunch on the home sim this year and getting out on the corse more. I've worked on slowing my back swing down and its really helped with better impact and distance. The last 2 games I've played I've beaten 2 different friends who also golf fairly often. Im super excited about this as it's the 1st year I've been keeping up close let along beating them!
