I want to change myself

As a north Indian girl I don't have much option..which is better in the terms of placements, academics and the peer group?
Am very confused bw cse core and ai ml. Some are saying that there are very less jobs for ai ml and others are like it Has the most placements. What is the difference bw these branches? And can ai ml students sit in the placements of cse core?
So I got 36xx rank in srmjeee. I might take admission in ktr campus but am very confused that is it even worth it? Coz I have read alot that there are very less packages and high crowd (not that good too) also it's fees is bit high and am from north too. Am getting Amrita too but parents think that SRM is better as it has a name.
