Why do Buldak ramens kick my ass while I can eat things far hotter easy?

Just had myself a Buldak carbonara (one of their milder flavors, listed as around 2400shu) and I was legitimately uncomfortable; I finished the bowl but my tongue was in pain for a few minutes after and I was hiccupping my way through. This is not a new occurrence with them, I've had other flavors at a friend's request and they're just as bad if not worse.

The strange thing is though, I've handled spicier things way better. I'm obviously not very acquainted with super spicy stuff, but I handle fresh jalapenos full rib/seed easy, I've tried up to habaneros, which are admittedly the hottest I'll eat and finish. Still, a famously mild Buldak makes me feel like a white man from Idaho who breaks a sweat from Frank's Red Hot.

I've always joked that I'm better with natural heat than artificial heat you'd find in an instant ramen, but is that true? Is there something to do with the sauce or source of the heat that makes it less manageable than something like real serrano peppers?

Any idea where to find/buy LARGE (page-wise) sketchbooks?

For starters, I'm doing a little side project for myself to do more traditional pen & ink drawings, being a physical recreation of the Hollow Knight Hunter's Journal; for those who haven't played the game, it's essentially a beastiary with a picture and lore tidbits, so I've handdrawn the creatures and handwritten the facts on each page. This project will probably take me a while longer, but I've recently finished the game's sequel and have been looking into doing similar for its own Hunter's Journal for the future.

Still, I've got one massive problem: there's a LOT of entries, 237 to be exact, and the majority of sketchbooks I'm finding cap out at about 160 pages. There's almost guaranteed to be more too, so I'm guessing that by the end of Silksong's major updates, there might be up to 300.

So, in short, do y'all know of any good sketchbooks (preferably bound in a leather or faux leather and in red) that have around 300 pages? I might be better off looking for journals or diaries in all honesty, but y'all know they don't always have the right paper for art.

Thx in advance!

I HATE TUNG TUNG TUNG SAHUR

When AI-generated italian brainrot was coming out earlier last year, it was fucking dumb already, but I assumed it'd be gone in a few months. Gen Z had it's random annoying shit too, and it had a time but stuff never lasted too long. For the most part, I was right! Tralalero Tralala was the biggest one I remember, and that died in months, great!

But somehow, this stupid fucking cinnamon stick with a baseball bat persisted. It has been a year and a half since this uncanny water-suckling slop stick hit the internet and it's only gotten more popular. My friends are posting about "Triple T" with terrible genAI videos, companies like Epic Games are making money off the "IP" if I am to even give it that dignity, even real fucking artists I've seen are unironically enjoying Tung Tung Tung Sahur!

I'm sorry if I'm just some internet boomer to y'all but dumb shit used to have soul! YTP no matter how irritating or nonsensical were made by a human person to share to other human people. Tung Tung Tung Sahur is the product of corporate greed and the subversion of human creativity. Social media platforms and video games and all the like have shoved shit on your plates and told you to gobble up.

No matter what you try to do positively with this south Asian slit drum, it reenforces the fact that we genuinely can't have good shit anymore. I need people to shut the FUCK up about this kentongan the kakistocracies keep for us.

Why was Maniac the song for Hemlock's level instead of Authority?

Maniac is definitely one of my favorite songs on the OST, and DAD's cover of it is far better than the original in my opinion, but I'm confused why it was chosen as Hemlock's song.

For Rori, Prophet, and Dex all have original songs that touch on them as characters, both in genre and in lyrics. Hemlock has a song like that, being Authority, where he sings in full punk british-ness and it's an amazing song. Still, for his level we get an American synth-pop song where he doesn't even sound like himself. What's even stranger to me is that there is a "punk" version but only in Infinite Disco. IDK how it feels for y'all, but it'd be like if Final Countdown was the song chosen for Dex's level instead of Echolokators.

While I have followed this game for a while from the occasional Insta reel, it hasn't been that closely, so does anyone know why the devs chose Maniac over Authority for Hemlock's fight?

I put Techno Syndrome into Dead as Disco, fits PERFECTLY after some tuning

For those who don't know, Dead as Disco is an indie rhythm game that's pretty much Batman Arkham combat timed to music. They allow custom songs to be input in their "freeplay" (Infinite Disco) mode and allow you to fine tune the BPM/offset.

For people who own the game and want the best results, I downloaded this video as a .wav and set it to 133.88 BPM, 490 beat offset, 3.24 start time, and 202.15 end time.

I’ve known Aurebesh for about 3 years now, but never really bothered with Mando’a as it’s not very distinct looking to me. Still, for whatever reason I want to learn the alphabet for it too, and I just wanted to know how many of y’all just know Aurebesh or learned Mando’a too.

Apparently there’s also a functional-enough language from Mando’a too, but that’s a *bit* much for me; I’d be impressed if anyone here knows that lol
