I know fh6 is around the corner but my brother has these 2 so we can play together. He has no real preference.

I downloaded the "demo" for the crew and played it for an hour yesterday. While i liked it some points are bugging me....

1: narration during racing..... like really?? Will this get better along the way or is this the whole time.... it doesnt help its just a bit annoying. I know you can turn volume down of the game but i want to hear the car.

2: loaned cars..... not one race where i can use my own... this stings me... i get that this makes it so you get an equal playing field but there should be other solutions right?... it makes this game feel weird not racing to unlock cars to get to the next race because you will get a car anyway.... no choosing colors or anything just here it is now drive...

How is this in forza 5??

Also for both: how many cars can the garage hold or is this infinite well almost and shouldnt worry about it? This is me playing rpgs mostly and having full backpacks etc is annoying when you wanna collect them all.

So iam in the position to buy an hazezon tamar (yeah the old one😉).... I like the idea of the card and wanted it for years... However i have the feeling with all the powercreep this aint gonna cut it as an commander anymore and iam better of taking another token commander in naya..... Havent checked possible other commanders to be fair....

So what do you think? Still good enough/worth it? Or outclassed?

Also what bracket would be its ceiling??

Since retold was announced i new i wanted to get it. Then i found out that the deluxe edition comes with the origins enhanced edition wich is cool.

But if i buy that deluxe edition now will i be able to play origins enhanced straight away or since it comes in the package i need to wait till retold is out???

Also do both versions of retold come with origins or is that exclusive to the deluxe version?

I will get this on steam if thats also an thing.

So i played a game yesterday and played votann vs nids.... Well i lost.... And i dont mind losing if its a bit close and i can see what i could have done differently to get a better result next time. Thing is i dont see anything i could have done to win this.... Now my opponent was more experienced then me (duh) but this was so one sided it wasnt even funny.

So iam quite new and already happy when i get my side of the rules straight. There are a lot of different armys being played here and the community is quite big learning all at once is not doable for me.

His primary was (forgive me dont know the exact wording of it still to new). As soon as he interacts with a terrainpiece is becomes trapped... When he has a trapped piece on board he gets 5vp each turn.. if he has more units then me on board he gets another 2 (thats how i got it explained to me). I didnt know this last thing after first turn and fergot to split my unit so yeah rough times..

I killed a unit of termagaunts (then they went into reserves.... I didnt know about this.... Felt like i wasted firepower here.... He didnt mention this untill after they died already found it weird he was almost happy they died) they came back in his turn and after a fight phase that same could be healed to almost full aswell.... Wow.... And then theres 2 of those units?? And if i killed the same unit again (if i manage to wipe it otherwise they will be healed) they just get back in reserves...wow... And because my army is slow and doesnt turn out enough melee power to deal with 2 of these units wich can infinitly be replaced/healed... Yeah

The board was number 1... When i got to the first marker near me he already beat me to it so got locked out of even getting vps there and i need to get one outside my zone to get 2 vp....... Seems way weak compared to the trap thing he got going for 5vp looking back at it we didnt play secondarys cause his army didnt have them in the app???

So basically in my mind its like autolose.... Nids move the termas up to trap terrain and put the rest behind them to keep terrain trapped... Then just sit and outscore since the gaunts can be revived endlessly untill his leader dies (thats how i got it explained) the pillow is always there and if it isnt next turn its back.. Since my army is slow he will just at least get one terrain piece trapped on turn one so its gg?

Endresult? 5 vp vs 34 vp conceded at end turn 3 start turn 4... Yeah whatever..... He also mentioned in the normal games hes army gets even way stronger... Yeah... So upscaling to bigger games doesnt help me... Thanks for the info.

At this point in all honesty i dont feel like this is a game for me.... I tried gsc first (rule of cool right??) too difficult.... Now votann.... More armor (yey) very slow so thats rough close combat is ok... Nothing great but ok... Obviously nids are way stronger in cc except for the gaunts but they are an pillow anyway.

I cant seem to get even close to a win.... Played a couple of games (some in 10th except for nids and sisters wich were 11th edition) and i dont see the joy expanding towards a normal game of lets say 1000 points. I mean why should i expand if the result will stay the same i will only get a bit stronger... And even with full rules iam sure he would have won this easily...

So should i just ditch 40k all together?? Came to 40k from aos cause there are more players for 40k....

I got some (a lot actually...) adeptus mechanicus as a gift but i dont have any motivation to start them (i like the hobby side and dont mind glueing/painting difficult models). Like lets say i put together the combat patrol for them.... What are they gonna achieve? I like the hobby side but i also want to have fun gaming when i get an army up to at least combat patrol. I feel a bit sad about this part... getting an army as a gift...then refusing to paint it because the playing will be probably a big bummer anyway...

Well thanks for the input i havent completely binned 40k but its getting close.

Probably easy but here goes: is the statline for thricefold discord per model or for the unit? My guess is per model just want to make sure before throwing too many dice or picking a model of when they take a wound😉

Do we have deepstrike units? If yes wich ones? I like deep striking units. I know the speed of this army is almost the same but dropping behind enemy lines is just cool.

So i tried some 4x games but there is just way too much info going on and things to figure out.... And that only the building part let alone the diplomacy.

I have played rct back in the day (yep iam getting old...) and we only had happiness/money and a bit of rain to care for (and just building attractions for fun/profit) afcourse some mechanics and gardeners but that was it....

The thing is most games i see these days have at least 8 different things to get to build something apart from money (wood/stone/metall etc.) people to keep happy workers aswell..... And if they dont really have this its heavy on time constraints (so you need to be fast or else game over).

I tried planet Coaster 2 but theres soo much to keep track off.... I mean building a road in the old days was just placing a tile... Now? ... Ooh no... People get stuck or paths are too wide etc... Also i have the feeling this is more a creative game then a sim/builder. Also playing this game on deck works but the controls when you want to build scenery are...yeah... You need mouse/keyboard.

Now iam not saying everything was better in the old days but i just want to get a new game that just doesnt overburden with stuff... I looked at tropico but dont know if this is what iam looking for.

Dont get me wrong i dont mind a couple of different resources but putting diplomacy and a whole lot of other stuff on top just is getting too much after a days hard work.

Also heavy on storyline isnt really my thing i just want to play😉

So any recommendations??

Years ago i got a ton of adeptus mechanicus.... With 11th coming around it might be a good starting point finally putting this army together... How does this look?? Only units put together are two units skitarii so the rest of the units can all be made into the other variant.

Also i am quite a new player i know this list has a lot of movement in it... How difficult will it be to pilot this??

So as the title said i got the combat patrol. Now were to go?? I will mainly play 1000 or up to 1250 points.

I can still get the christmas box... Is this a good option? Or better get some other stuff?... Still have to yet play a game to learn this army/game.

It looks cool but read a hekaton land fortress might be better.
