Theory: What If B1Z isn't Bizarro as we thought he would be...

...But is actually going to be revealed to be Doomsday?

We do know from both how this season has been building on and from Episode 5's title that is going to take inspiration from The Death of Superman and Reign of the Superman.

I think also the reason why Jon is actually going back in time is to stop Clark and Kara from dying from Doomsday.

My theory is that Lex is going to find out about B1Z and probably experimenting on him, this leading to him mutate into Doomsday. The show is no stranger to reinvent characters so that might be either an Hulk style failsafe mode when is in critical danger.

This leads to Episode 5 (titled "The Death of Superman") that is likely going to be about Jon trying to prevent the death of his father.

[r/AlternateHistory] Any toughts on Harry Turtledove's The American Captain series ?

[OOC: The series is written in Universe from 2015 to 2020 (Turtledove survived the Snap) and is about a world where Captain America doesn't get frozen in the ice and instead he returns to the US. In Book 1 after Steve returns he gives his blood to the US Government so they can make more soldiers, Cap retires in 1952 and has a son with Peggy Carter called James while a man named Jack Simons becomes the new Mcarthian Captain America and leads a group of Super Soldiers who win the Korean War. Book 2 is in the 60s where Jack is becoming more violent and leading his way to Vietnam, Steve returns to fight as Captain America and face off Jack in Vietnam where he's killed in 1968. Book 3 jump foward to a more authoritarian 1982 where the US are controlled by an authoritarian HYDRA Agent president who went to war with Mexico in the second Mexican-American War, Steve is still a fugitive when he finds out HYDRA is still alive thorugh SHIELD, Steve and his son James fight HYDRA and are able to expose and defeat SHIELD but Cap dies. The final two books are set in the 1990s and 2000s showing James as the new Captain America, the end of the Super Soldiers Army Program in the US and the subsequent War on Terror where James has become the President of the US instead of George W. Bush. The final book ends with James seeing the debut of Iron Man in 2010 and offering Tony Stark to join a team to protect the world.]

I know this is generally considered a pretty mixed series in contrast to other Turtledove books but i think it does a great job at world building and overall are great spy novels too. I think books 2 and 3 are the best, the first one as well as book 4 and 5 focuses too much on the Scenario than the story but still enjoyable for the ones that are here from the scenario alone. Any thoughts?

[r/UrbanLegends] Does anyone knows about the “Ghost Rider myth” that was around in the 70s and 80s ? Do you think he might be real ?

I heard many stories about the ”Ghost Rider” and how he allegedly attacked criminals back in those days but he was never found or proven to be an actual person, but since we got heroes like Doctor Strange or Thor around could possibly be real ?

[r/AskHistorians] What happened to Phineas Horton's Synthetic Man? I remember he was showed at 1943 Stark Expo but wasn't seen it ever again since it.

Some rumors say it was used by the US Military in World War 2 in secret with the codename "The Human Torch". Said rumors said it also helped Captain America a few times to dismantle HYDRA too. Is there any truth to these kind of facts ?

[r/Chicago] OH MY GOD I THINK BATMAN HAS SAVED MY LIFE !!!

(OOC: For context)

So i was being robbed by a street gang until a masked vigilante appeared and attacked the criminals. It was so damn cool and i asked him a photo however he quickly ran away. He was in a black costume with a yellow symbol who looked like an owl.

I think that was incredible. I'm glad my city has a hero like that now.

Any comics about cops in a city full of superheroes and villains ?

Any rec on something that explore this concept? I think it would be very intresting to read that.

Comic Idea: An off-continuity series in the style of The Incredibles where Peter and Felicia are a married couple and return to fight crime as Spider-Man and Black Cat

I've been thinking for a while about this in the wake of Ultimate Spider-Man ending. Would you like to read something like that ?

This suit is GLORIOUS

Dude it has been 8 YEARS since Season 3 of Daredevil and only now we are getting comic accurate Bullseye suit and man, i’m FUCKING with this suit. I love when comic book movies or shows aren’t afraid to give us the most comic accurate costumes in live action. We are so back guys.

can’t wait to see it in Season 3 of Born Again next year. 🔥

If Atlantis had to become a trilogy what the second and third movie would have been about ?

I personally would have liked if each installment was set on a certian amount of time from each other. Like the second movie would be in the 1930s/40s and the third movie in the 50s/60s.

Or maybe have it be more of an anthology with each installment work as a self contained story in the same world would have been fun (maybe more fitting as Milo's story was already self contained). What you guys would have like to see if it happened ?

Suggestions for a Scenario i'm making

I've been writing a scenario where WW2 is avoided by a civil war between Austria and Germany happening shortly after the Auschluss in 1938 but The War on the Pacific (fought by an alliance between the USA, China, USSR and England) still happens from 1941-1945 and still ends with the Atomic Bomb beign invented but without a wide European war happening on the other side.

I've been wondering a few things for my scenario:

  1. Was there any opposition against the Auschluss in Austria. I've in mind to have a civil war between Nazi Germany and Austrian Nationalist but what were (if there were) people opposing to the Auschluss in that period? I wouldn't mind then to change with else if there was no one.
  2. How much the mentality of some presidents might change during the Cold War ? Specifically Dwight Eisenhower, JFK, Barry Goldwater (who becomes president and is assassinated in 1971) and George McGovern (which is like a Democratic Reagan in my timeline) without WW2 happening ?
  3. Since WW2 doesn't happen there will be a Civil War happening in Fascist Italy between 1953 and 1958. I plan to have this be a North vs South war with a Southern Italy government lead by Alcide De Gasperi but would he make sense be the head or someone else but most importantly, could be possible for Italy achieve a revolt against fascism without turning Communism ?
  4. (This is going to be controversial but) Is there going to be an Israel in a timeline like that or it would be unlikely ? The idea of a Jewish state was already an idea that was around for years but would still be plausible an Israel like state in this timeline or not ?

[Amusing Trope] They canonically fought the KKK

Superman (DC) - He first fought the KKK in 1946 in his radio serial, this was made to make people more aware about the Klan's horrific actions. This was later adapted into a comic called Superman Smashes The Klan in 2019.

Black Panther (Marvel) - In the series Jungle Action in 1976, there was a 5 issue arc where Black Panther face off the Klan after they killed his girlfriend's brother.

Sherlock Holmes - In the story "The Five Orange Pips" in 1891, Sherlock and Watson end up facing the Klan when a man named John Openshaw arrives asking protection from a mysterious murder who killed his uncle Elias, a former member of the Klan. Sherlock is able to find out about the connections with the Klan but John dies, Sherlock identifies the man who caued the death of him in James Calhoun and warns the police in the USA about it however the ships in which James is in sink during a storm with him dying without getting catch. One of the few times Sherlock failed in capturing the murderer.

What universe would be a better fit for a universe merge with Steven Universe? Marvel or DC ?

I've been thinking to make both and decide what would be the best option then but for now, what would be the best choice ?

u/Possible-Rate-3833 — 2 months ago

Marvel/DC merged universe idea: The Infinity Stones host the Anti-Life Equation, Darkseid and Thanos have a rivalry to get them and achieve their own scope. Darkseid joins forces with the Avengers to defeat Thanos only to fight Darkseid with the stones.

Spider-Man aside, what other MCU heroes would you like to see Daredevil iteracting with ?

I personally want to see him with Moon Knight, Yelena Belova and maybe the Fantastic Four (this as a callback to Daredevil Yellow)

Black Hammer is really needing to be a tv show. Love the original comic and i think it would go well as a tv show.

Blacksad is an amazing French comic, it already have a videogame but i think an Animated serie would be so cool.

WHERE'S THE GOON MOVIE, FINCHER !!? Like it's been an eternity since it was announced, but i think a Tv show would be better since the comic is really grotesque and also i personally think 2D would be better than a 3D movie for The Goon.

And lastly two new ones that i've read last year: Assorted Crisis Events and Beneath The Trees Where Nobody Sees. I think the first one would be great as both live action and animated while BTWNS would work more as a mini-series with the same style as the comic.

What you guys would you like to see?

u/Possible-Rate-3833 — 2 months ago

I really want to see an Heroes For Hire series in the style of buddy cop shows since Mike Colter and Finn Jones are returning in Daredevil Born Agan Season 3.

I also do want to see a Ghost Rider series, maybe an anthology one with each season focusing on a different Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze in the 70s, Danny Ketch in the 90s and Robbie Reyes in the modern day)

A Wolverine miniseries with each episode set in a different time period would be great. We could even get an episode set in WW2 with the events of The First Avenger happening from his POV and maybe a Chris Evans cameo at the end.

Also i do like to see something new so i'd go with a Nextwave comedy series (we already got Monica and Elsa in the MCU, they only need to get others in and introduce the other members in the MCU) and also an Agents of Atlas series (they find a way to retcon them in being in the MCU, maybe as a secret ops team in the 50s or reimagined for the modern era. I want specifically the Atlas Comics team since i don't really like the newer version).

This is coming from someone who is in his first year at a film course in an art school and has a lot of ambition going foward and some experience in managing a camera (I own a Panasonic HC-W580) and has already done some experiments back in high school (Some homeworks and a music video with some classmates).

I have done a lot of shooting this year both at home and in the campus but i rarely did it something for myself. The closest thing i do is taking photos with my phone and use those as template to work on future shots in my homeworks, but aside from that i have done rarely anything of my own really.

So i wanted to ask to anyone with experience, how this is normal? Like i really want to continue what i am doing and i am absolutely having a blast and fun when it comes to filming my projects but most of those are homeworks for school and i haven't really do much of my own. How is this normal for someone to be like that in the first year of film school?
