B1 to B2 fluent

Hello everyone, what is everyone’s experience with learning. I grew up in a Greek household and went to greek school, i can write, i can read but my literacy level ends somewhere between B1 and B2. I really would like to improve. What programs have you all found helped you get past intermediate level. I know speaking to people is best but most of my relatives are in Greece and the ones here have regressed to probably a B2 level lol.

Snaked a drain on a slow drain.

I had a slow draining kitchen drain that i snaked, i felt the plug and i pushed through it, it was draining faster but obviously the grease or what’ve r was still in there so i put in some drain cleaner hoping it would take care of the rest.. nope. It’s worse, what gives , did i replug it with the drain cleaner. Now what? Resnake?

Food ideas

Hello fellow commuters, i bike to and from work using a backpack, i don’t want paniers, just my backpack. Anyone have any food ideas that don’t weigh a ton, i usually bring a wrap or sandwich for lunch but need some snack ideas that are healthy and not overly processed like protein or cereal bars, bananas and fruit are good when in season, any other ideas would be appreciated. Adding children to Greek family record

If i add my children to our greek family record (I am a citizen living abroad) would they have to serve military service if they just visit Greece on vacation or is it only if they are there for an extended period of time?

Improving on Greek Language

I am a second generation Greek leaving abroad. Speak Greek reasonably well as I went to Greek language school as a child and was raised in a home speaking Greek and visit Greece pretty regularly. That being said, i would like to take my language to the next level. Has anyone had any success with any apps or programs for someone who is already reasonably fluent.

Proper etiquette

Today I was riding along and saw a cyclist ahead of me who was going considerably slower so i passed him and thought nothing of it, couple of minutes later I looked over my shoulder and saw he was right on my wheel. To those who group ride maybe this wouldn’t bother you but i don’t. I told him to ask if he wants to ride on my wheel or pass me. Not rudely, but firmly. He got annoyed and said he was just keeping pace. Isn’t it proper etiquette to let someone know if you are drafting them?

Bicycle Rental in Greece

Has anyone ever rented a road bike while in Greece, I cycle in Canada a lot but not sure I have the gumption to do so in Greece, maybe in less busy areas? I have been many times but never riden a bike there.

Older cyclist mobility

Older cyclists (if you are under 45 I am not interested in your opinion with regards to this in particular) what do you do to stay limber, i have no problem with the cycling aspect I put down my fair share of miles but I find as I am aging (early 50s) things are tighter than they use to be. Not when riding, mid back, hamstrings lower back, what do you do to counteract, does anyone to yoga, daily stretch routines? What is your personal routine.

New cycling attire brands

What is with the new brands that pop up out of nowhere, with no history or track record and charge as much if not more than the premium brands. I just had a Canadian brand out of Vancouver show up in my feed charging more than Castelli or the like.

Health Insurance

My 91 year old father wants me to take him to Greece (greek citizen) but i doubt he has health coverage there as he hasn’t worked there since he was 27. Do any Canadians have any good experience with any companies in particular for health insurance.

Greek Citizenship

After a 5 year lengthy process i finally got my greek citizenship, the consulate told me since I am going to Greece this summer i can do it while i am there, i just have to visit a police station. Does it have to be the municipality where my Greek family record is? I would imagine this would be best. Also how do i book an appointment at the police station?
