So I travel daily from GNW ek murti to Noida sector 62 and started offering Car pool through Quick Ride app about 3 months back

and with few month of regular commute I now travel with full capacity (3 passengers) I charge average of 65 rupees per person for that which almost covers my travel cost.

And there are so many people in that same route that I start getting mssg from 7AM enquiring about seat availability in my car.

Also sometimes when I don't feel like driving I ask other person to offer me a ride and I tell my carpool member to join me in that car.

I wonder why more people are not doing that... I know its a bit of hassle as sometimes you have to take few extra turns and may increase your total distance by 2-3kms by picking or dropping people to a comfortable spot but you can charge extra for that comfort and except time it doesn't cost anything else.

as per my calculations... i think we can easily reduce about 20 cars just on my given route if we are willing to just face a little hassle and start offering or using Carpools.

Quickride users.. is your app working?? it was not working for me yesterday evening and now not working since today afternoon too while I took ride in the morning.

anyone facing same issue??

I had to travel to Noida from kanpur via Ganga expressway in emergency late at night. and honestly it was great expressway... I have traveled through many expressways and Yamuna expressway was my favorite but honestly I found Ganga expressway better but one thing that broke my heart is that it was literal graveyard for animals... I found more than 20 animal carcasses on 200km strech road... couldn't avoid many of those and it really felt soo bad.. there were few live ones running across road too and even few cows accidentally enter in pitch black expressway. I think it will take time for animals to realize that another free green area they once enjoyed is now taken over by humans. And this is one problem that is known to everyone but we hardly do anything about it.
