A Soviet-era paradise that never was. Abandoned hotel complex by the lake.

The Avand Hotel complex in Armenia, sitting right on the shores of Lake Sevan. Construction started in the Soviet era and was never finished. Now it's just a massive, hollow concrete skeleton surrounded by one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the world. A true monument to failed ambition.
