Tldr: Trying to decide between the MeacoCool MC14000 (14,000 BTU) and the MC12000RPRO Smart (12,000 BTU) for a UK 2-bed flat.

I live in a roughly 50–55m² two-bedroom flat. The living room is about 6.26m x 4.41m and opens into a hallway leading to two bedrooms.

Main priorities are:

- surviving UK heatwaves

- keeping my cats comfortable (including a ragdoll kitten)

- cooling more than one room if possible

- lower noise/sensory overload

I have ME/CFS and AuDHD, so heat, humidity and constant loud humming really affect me. But I'll put up with the noise for some relief from the heat.

Has anyone used either of these in a similar-sized flat? Is the extra power of the 14000 worth it, or is the quieter 12000RPRO the better everyday option?

Would really appreciate honest experiences with:

- noise levels

- sleep mode

- running costs

- how well they cool bedrooms/hallways

Has anyone dealt with a fraudulent Booking.com payment through PayPal and actually managed to get their money back?

A payment was made fraudulently through my PayPal connected to Booking.com and I’ve been trying to sort it out for days. I opened a PayPal dispute, but they’ve now closed the case saying there was “no case,” which honestly makes no sense to me because I did not authorise the payment.

I also can’t properly get through to Booking.com support because I don’t have a booking confirmation number, so I keep getting stuck in automated systems and help pages.

At the moment I feel completely stuck between PayPal and Booking.com, with both sides not really helping.

Has anyone been through something similar?

Were you able to reopen or appeal the PayPal case?

Did Booking.com eventually refund you?

Is there a better way to contact a real person at Booking.com?

Would contacting my bank be the next step?

Any advice would really help because I’m not sure what to do next.

Has there been any good experiences with buspirone and people with ME/CFS?

I took my first 5mg pill last night and felt sleepy and then took 5mg in the morning. After this I started to feel very drowsy and fell asleep till 2pm.

I'm still really feeling the drowsiness and brain fog. Could this be the side effects and lessen over time or something that lasts the whole time?

Any experiences of advice appreciated.

Hi, I’ve just started buspirone (5mg) alongside my existing 150mg sertraline and wondering how others with ME/CFS have responded. (I'm moderate/severe) And have been experiencing increased anxiety for some time now.

I had a strong reaction after taking 5mg last night and again this morning. (last night it was initially calming, then I woke up in the night with tense shoulders slightly migraine feeling then today I am feeling really sedated and wiped out the next day), so I’m trying to figure out if this is normal or not.

Would be really helpful to hear:

how it affected you

whether side effects settled

if it helped with the “wired but tired” feeling
