Looking for 100 strategy fans to help shape a new grand strategy MMO

Over the last few days this community has given me some amazing feedback that’s already changed major parts of the game.
I’m building Ruinfall, a persistent grand strategy MMO where the challenge isn’t just conquering territory—it’s governing it.
I’m looking for around 100 strategy fans who want to help shape the game before development ramps up.
If that sounds interesting, come join the Discord!

Would you play an MMO where players run kingdoms instead of guilds?

Instead of joining a guild, you’d join a player-run kingdom with governors, diplomats, merchants, generals, and kings—all real players.
Do you think that would create better long-term communities than traditional MMO guilds, or would it be too much?

What’s the best anti-snowball mechanic you’ve seen in a grand strategy game?

I’m designing a grand strategy game with one persistent world, and the biggest challenge seems to be stopping one empire from becoming unstoppable.

Why do almost all grand strategy games reset?

I’ve always wondered why every grand strategy game eventually makes you start over.
I’m working on one where the world never resets. Kingdoms rise and fall, cities stay on the map, and dynasties continue even if a player quits.
What’s the biggest problem you think a persistent world like this would have?

Would you play a grand strategy game with persistent dynasties?

I’ve always wished there was a grand strategy game where the world never resets. In the one I’m building, players start as founding noble houses, and if they quit, their dynasty slowly collapses instead of disappearing. Years later, another player can reclaim that house and rebuild it.
Would you find that more interesting than the usual reset or inactive-player systems? If you’re interested, the Discord is in the comments.

New game coming soon

Hey everyone, I’ve been working on a grand strategy game called Ruinfall. It’s a persistent world where players build dynasties, found cities, wage wars, and compete for power in a world that never resets.
I’m getting close to the first public release and looking for strategy fans to help test and give feedback. https://discord.gg/BZtHkuSbf

New game for Civ 6 players

I’ve been playing Civ 6 on and off for about six years, and it’s probably the game that’s influenced me the most as a developer. When I first started making games, I basically tried to build a Civ clone. Over time I realized I wanted something different: a game that kept the empire-building, city development, and long-term strategy I love from Civilization, but added persistent worlds, player politics, dynasties, vassals, and large-scale wars. The result is a project called Ruinfall. Ruinfall is a multiplayer grand strategy game where players share a persistent world, build cities, expand empires, manage economies, fight wars, and deal with diplomacy and succession over the long term. The city-building side takes a lot of inspiration from both Civ 6 and Civ 7, while the political systems are closer to grand strategy games. I’m planning to release the first public version on July 11th and I’m looking for strategy players who enjoy games like Civilization and would be interested in trying it out and giving feedback. If that sounds interesting, I’d love to have you join the Discord and help shape the game before launch. https://discord.gg/C3QJnUu2U

New strategy game like Supremacy

Hi yall I have played Supremacy1914 for about 2 years now with a couple of friends and have learnt a lot from it. Around the same time I started game development and have always thought about making a game similar to Supremacy but without some of its flaws and deferent theming. I am making a game called Ruinfall it is a rts where all players exist in one medevil world. Unlike supremacy I want to keep it as far from pay to win as possible as I hated the hero’s in Supremacy as some new player could just buy a hero and immediately be better then a existing player who doesn’t want to spend money on the game. The player plays in the form of a family house and not a nation state. Join the discord at https://discord.gg/ZHMVV7k6u

Where to find players for my game

Hey yall I’m a dev working on a rts/grand strategy game. It will be browser based at first then I want to make it a mobile app. The game is like the supremacy series we’re all the players are all playing at the same time in the same game. But to get the game started I’m gonna need a player base around 50 active players or so. I’m pretty new to game dev and I’m the only one working on the game I could use advice.

Unfinished game

I am a dev and am currently developing a mobile game like the supremacy series but set in medieval times. The game is very much playable with it having most of the features implemented or coming soon. It’s just that the game is not visual pleasing as I made all the assets in blender(I am not a very good 3d artist). I am wondering if I were to host it on a website would anyone play it or should I wait and release on mobile in about 3 months.
