Does the reason for why you wear the hijab matter,

I know when im praying my intentions should be that im praying for the sake of Allah and not because my parents told me to and if my intentions were just to make my parents happy then my prayer would be invalid

so if my intentions for wearing the hijab is just because my parents told me to and if they didn’t make me wear the hijab I wouldn’t wear it myself and i don’t wear it for the sake of Allah, is this permissible in Islam? will my efforts of wearing the hijab still be rewarded

How does escorting actually work?

You know those influencers whose follower count clearly doesn’t match their lifestyle, and they’re not even getting brand deals or ads to realistically fund the way they live? So it’s obvious someone else is paying for it.

But how do these women actually meet those men? Is there some kind of escorting or sugar-dating site that connects rich men with women? Or do they literally just use apps like Hinge and keep swiping until they find the rich guys?

And when those relationships end, are they not scared that their lifestyle and income is at risk? Or is there an endless supply of rich men for them to just move on to the next one so easily.

Did you know that the royal family of Jordan are descendants of the Prophet Muhammad?

Nothing proves more that religion is for the poor than when you look at the women from the Muslim royal families, most of them don’t wear the hijab and even being a literal descendant of the prophet means nothing when you have money in the bank

Are billionaire socialites able to walk around Nyc freely?

I was wondering since some of them, like Georgina Bloomberg, Ariana Rockefeller, Phoebe gates, and the Gettys, have pretty big Instagram followings and could easily be recognised in public by people with bad intentions, do they just get chauffeured everywhere, even though that kind of defeats the nyc lifestyle, or are they always followed by security guards?

How come the people back home don’t need deodorant

i was shocked when I found out that using deodorant isn’t common back home. I know they shower like three times a day, but for me, even if I sweat a little or spend a bit of time in the sun, I start getting body odour if I’m not wearing any deodorant.

Have their bodies become accustomed to the heat so that they don’t produce as much body odour?

Phoebe Gates’ Phia investors look more like an influencer lineup than an actual business board

The business having the most random investors just makes it impossible for me to take seriously because what is Ice Spice doing there? Also the whole format is so weird why are the models and influencers placed above the CEOs and founders?

Thought this was interesting

I think there’s a big distinction between the generation that fled Somalia in the 90s/2000s and the generation trying to leave now. Back then they were genuinely fleeing for their safety and escaping a war zone

But now, I think a lot of Somalis who want to come to Europe are drawn more by the lifestyle they see other Somalis flaunting on TikTok. They see the shopping centres, the landmarks, the transport, the snow…

the people who made it to Europe safely and then encourage others to come, acting as if the journey is easy, are incredibly wicked.

What would Somalia look like today if Alshabaab was eradicated in 2006

If Al-Shabaab had been eradicated in 2006 as soon as they were formed, when they only had 400 members, and the government had taken out the leaders before they could recruit more people, then what would Somalia look like today?

I can say we would be a rich country with a global fishing port and making good use of our oil and coastline. But let’s be honest, African countries and corrupt leaders go hand in hand, I think the country would definitely be doing better, but the country would still be dealing with issues like poverty and poor infrastructure

Could our parents be the first in our bloodline to ever see snow?

if any of our ancestors had never left Africa before, is it possible that our parents are the first people in our bloodline to ever see snow?

How do I edge him whilst on top?

i only know how to edge a guy with a handjob because it’s easier to control the pace and stop when he’s close. But when I’m on top I feel like I lose track of how close he actually is and I don’t know how to slow things down properly without completely ruining the moment.

What are the best ways to keep him right on the edge while riding?

Could I get some help for a job interview please

I have a job interview for a cafe role and the job description says applicants must have previous experience in food preparation, which I don’t have yet they’ve still invited me for an interview.. I do have experience working as a waitress though

How should I answer questions about food preparation experience if I don’t specifically have any?

Killing my characters

I’ve realised that the reason I maladaptive daydream, doomscroll, and constantly listen to music is because I’m chasing dopamine.

I’ve also noticed that after I finish running on the treadmill, my mind feels peaceful. I can sit still, read a book, and just exist without needing music or constantly thinking about my characters.

So my new plan is to allow myself to daydream while I’m on the treadmill with music on, because at least afterwards I’ll feel good knowing I exercised and released endorphins. But outside of the gym, I’m going to stop myself daydreaming and instead keep myself busy and focused on real things.

Hopefully eventually I’ll be able to stop altogether. When I was younger, I loved reading and I’d daydream about the stories and characters in the books, and that felt like a healthier kind of escapism.

I want to get back into reading and hopefully those story-based daydreams will replace the current ones, because the ones I have now just make me more aware of how unhappy I am with my real life.

Is my body becoming resistant to having bowel movements?

20, female, 164cm, 58kg

I’ve always struggled with irregular bowel movements. For the longest time, going to the toilet once a week was normal for me because I never felt bloated or physically uncomfortable.

and when I did, drinking two large bottles of water at once would help me go to the toilet.

Recently though that has stopped working. So I tried Fybogel, which worked for about a week then I became constipated again. After that I used psyllium husk for around three weeks which worked at first and then stopped. I also tried iced coffee with lots of sugar, which worked for 2 weeks then stopped.

It feels like every time I find something that helps me have a bowel movement, my body builds a resistance to it and it eventually stops working.

I already eat a lot of fibre, and although I could probably add more, I feel like there might be an underlying issue that diet changes alone won’t fix

Does the UK government job website show all jobs or only jobs employers choose to post?

I’ve found that Indeed and Glassdoor don’t actually seem to sort jobs properly when you use the “most recent” filter. If I search in a private browser, I get completely different results, so I’m guessing it’s based more on your activity and algorithm than the actual posting date.

That’s why I want to mainly use the government job website, since the “most recent” filter there actually seems accurate. But do all jobs get automatically posted there, or do employers have to manually upload them? Because if employers have to choose to post there, then I’m guessing not every job will appear on the site and I should still use Indeed as well.

For context im looking for retail/hospitality jobs
