I’ve been taking an upper dosage from 10mg to 20mg since 7/10. While this adjustment has been significantly better than 5mg to 10mg, I’ve been getting extremely weird nausea that hits hard at random times before fading as if it never happened. Can be in the morning, afternoon, middle of the night. I’m also having some insomnia issues. However, my anxiety and depression have been getting significantly better, so I would say we’re on the verge of baseline. I’ve just never experienced nausea like this before.

I am a 29 year old with severe depression and anxiety on Lexapro. I recently found out I am deficient in magnesium, so I am planning to add a supplement (glycinate) to my diet. It seems that I could also benefit from b complex as well? Any suggestions would be helpful. I’m just trying to live a better life after a tough few months mentally 💜

I’m moving up to 20mg after talking to my doctor about my mental state these past few weeks (mood swings, constant state of moderate anxiety, tiredness). She recommended I go up on my dosage. I’ve read a lot of success stories, so I’m hoping for the same ❤️ just want to feel like me again after a turbulent 4 months.

Please drop your experiences and what I should expect while adjusting? I’m reading that 10 to 20 isn’t as bad as 5 to 10.

So I was upped from 5mg to 10mg of Lexapro after having anxiety that sent me to the hospital/health anxiety etc. On weeks 2-4, I felt off, neutral, irritable. 5 onward, I felt amazing, back to baseline.

Since around Saturday of last week (start of week 9) I’m not panicking like before, but I’m in a constant state of anxiety, chest tightness etc. I’m still able to do my work, but I just feel like I’m in minor fight or flight (sorry if I’m explaining this poorly). When I take my emergency medication (hydroxyzine) it basically just puts me into a very tired state where I can’t do anything, but still have anxiety. Before, it would leave me a bit tired, but would ease my depression/anxiety.

I’ve messaged my NP, but it’s Fourth of July on a Saturday, so probably won’t hear anything until Monday.

Just trying to take it easy. I’ve come a long way on my journey since March. Just trying to be gentle with my brain and body ❤️ any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’d like to say I eat moderately healthy (breakfast smoothie everyday) but I’m by no means a health nut, so definitely open to suggestions. I also go to counseling once a week, since I know that’s a big factor as well.

I take magnesium glycinate before bed, and a multivitamin with my breakfast.
