Does anyone else think that Lou having feelings for the hunter is a little dangerous?

Obviously the canon has them portrayed in a mutually compassionate relationship. Especially seen with [SPOILERS] the hunter giving their life for Lou in the true ending.

However, what if that were not the case? What if the hunter didn't feel any affection for her? Lou has shown defiance toward Lavenza, and a rather headstrong attitude toward what she feels is right, everyone else be damned. Her holding the hunter's life in her hands as part of the resurrection ritual she performed could have been incredibly toxic. If the hunter didn't validate or entertain her, what could happen? Like a CEO hitting on his secretary, their relationship has a massive power imbalance that made the whole thing sketchy.

I love Lou, her character is great, but even on my very first playthrough, her comments and behavior made me feel a tad creeped out with how nonchalanty the situation was being handled.

Look at it from the hunter's perspective.

"I died, then got resurrected by a revenant who binds me to her life with her own heart, we have to save the world from total collapse by playing with time like a cat with a ball of yarn, and she's hitting on me? If I reject her, does she snap? I'm alive because of her, do I owe her my affection? Is the world doomed if I don't give it to her?"

Obviously the story we got didn't pan out like that, but still. Just saying what could have been if Lou and the hunter weren't a couple of good beans.

Or the shared heart thing compels their bond, whatever.

MGSV server reliance.

I was curious what our Russian and Belarusian Diamond Dogs were going through with the server shutdowns, so I booted my game in offline mode.

No challenges and no constructing FOB’s for additional resource management is crazy. The farming and macro get so much worse in the early game when you don’t have access to the challenges, and late game FOB management is the only way to get more staff when Mother Base is maxed out.

The game post Skull Face’s defeat is already a nothing burger. Not having those systems is a shame. That’ll be all of us one day.

Arrowhead Please, I'm Completely Serious.

People might actually use the Stim Pistol if you let us put a sight and stock on it for a crumb of accuracy.

Please, it would be so beautiful, I've drawn it up for you already.

Secondary Customization Options

Why this isn't in the game yet can't be fathomed. Arrowhead has a weird habit of adding things in that are half baked, and instead of reflecting on their creations and perhaps realizing that they don't always put out well made products, they blame the community and shelf it indefinitely.

Well, I sat and looked at the standard secondaries and envisioned what they could be, so now you all have to see the untapped potential the same way I do.

The P-2 Peacemaker. It has an obvious thread protector, a rail under the barrel, and that is it. A little creativity will go a long way in helping some of these given their rather "non-modular" designs.

The thread protector can be swapped for our usual barrel options.

Muzzle Brake

Flash Hider

Compensator

But adding in suppressors as a customization for sidearms seems fitting since we don't have any good suppressed or quiet options. The Purifier and SOCOM are the only ones that can kill reliably.

The rail can support the LAM with integrated flashlight, or you can choose one of the two seperate for ergo. Also, add a foregrip. Other secondaries will benefit greatly, and uniformity among attachements is preferred over cherry picked ones like the primary weapons' sight selections. Some real world handguns have foregrips, so we should too.

Extended mags should be an option, but so should ridiculous drum mags. Carrying one or two one-hundred round drums to mag dump enemies would be great.

And for the standout sidearm customization option, stocks. Handguns have stocks to make their unreliable aiming more steady, so we should have the option, too. The Peacemaker gets a wire frame stock that ups the steadyness, recoil reduction, and accuracy. While dropping ergo as a counterbalance.

The P-19 Redeemer is lousy with rails, and as such will be a treat to customize.

Unless the barrel is integrally threaded for some reason, we don't have any barrel options here.

The under rail can support the same attachments as the P-2

Laser

Flashlight

Both

Foregrip

The magazine should be extended by default, so adding a shorter mag is the alternate option. And, of course, the drum. A drum on the Redeemer would see it be crowned as the de-facto primary replacer.

The PDW should have a stock on it. A nice wire one would do, but a second fixed stock option should be allowed with better improvements than the wire one, but also even less ergo.

A boon for the Redeemer is its top rail. This should support the holo it has, as well as;

1.5X Dot

2X Dot

4X Combat Scope

I'm all for the inclusion of the 10X, but with pistol drag...I just don't see it being worthwhile. These bullets may as well be spitballs past 20m.

The P-4 Senator is a pretty tight package that can't be messed with a lot.

The light does seem to be on a rail. A pretty chintzy one, but it's there. Examine the model in game to see if I'm crazy. That opens up the aformentioned underbarrel attachments.

The only other discernable option would be a stock. A fixed stock for performance enhancement to make this handcannon a lot steadier.

The P-113 Verdict is very modular, similar to the Redeemer.

The bottom rail can support the standardized attachments.

Same for the top rail.

The magazine can be extended or drummed.

Lastly, the grip can support a stock.

The Verdict could see some great success with a carbine conversion. Possibly enough to act as a partner to an explosive or plasma primary.

The P-92 Warrant is in a similar predicament to the Senator, in that it has very little room to grow.

Swapping the sight wouldn't work, since that one is needed to interface with the guided rounds.

The magazine can be extended and also drummed.

The only other option is a stock, which wouldn't help all that much since the pistol aims itself, but it could benefit un-guided mode users.

Lastly, the P-69 Veto. We're ending on a bit of a low note here. There aren't many ways to alter its very robust design.

Give it a fixed stock to help with that kick.

And the magazine options are instead, clip options. The extended clip reloads all twelve rounds at once, instead of two sixers. Then the "no clip" option removes the stripper clip in favor of a single rounds reload. Allowing you to top off your ammo whenever, in exchange for slower empty reloads.

Seeing any, or all, of this would make for some very happy Helldivers, I'd reckon. The special sevondaries are even more divisive than these, and I'll probably check on them tomorrow.

This might be asking a lot from you people…

But can I please receive a rudimentary crash course on how to play as Felicia? Her kit is expansive, and condensing her into a single Reddit comment is surely as easy as pulling teeth, or getting the SG one trick to swap, but I ask you to try.

I have plenty of Daredevil experience, and am a long standing Loki main, so the basics of dive are well understood. I just need her particular nuances or tips from my betters to get me moving along.

Thanks in advance, and if there are instead any videos the more experienced among you know of that are reliable, I will take those too rather than have you type out what they have already put to film.

New Warbond Concept “Combat Caretakers”

A medic themed warbond based around our enemies’ defeat by our superior altruism. With a sprinkling of Super Earth’s cruelty in there.

New Primary: The R-199 Doser

The Doser is a pneumatic rifle that loads several types of dart for judicious use on the battlefield. You switch the darts out like swapping Recoilless Rifle warheads, and can only fire once before reloading.

The first, potent Stim darts. More effective than a standard personal Stim, these beauties can keep a diver alive through most bodily injury for several seconds.

The second, noxious gas darts. A 150 gas damage dart that then applies the gas status effect. For self defense purposes, and for confounding our enemies.

The last, a corrosive agent. Dealing no impact damage, these darts apply the acid effect found during acid rain weather events. Ideal for weakening our more tenacious threats for maximum punishment.

New Secondary: The ARC-11 Taser.

The taser delivers a potent several amp burst of electricity that stuns whatever it strikes while dealing heavy penetrating 500 arc damage. Behaves like the Quasar cannon with a single shot and passive cooldown. Takes 4 seconds to recharge your shot.

New Throwable: The K-16 Anti-Coagulant

A knife coated with a special anti-coagulating agent. Dealing 100 impact damage at light penetration, any enemy that takes damage from the thrown blade immediately enters a bleed out state. If the weapon cannot deal damage by deflecting off medium armor or above, the bleed out does not trigger. Aim for those weak spots, Helldivers. You pack 10 by default.

New Stratagem: The Medical Bay

Deployed similar to the Anti-Tank emplacement, it comes with a chair and a mechanism to fire its payload. However, this emplacement’s barrel is pointed at you, Helldiver. With a pull of the trigger, the mechanism fires, and you are dosed with a Stim to restore your body to full working order. Comes packaged with 8 stims.

New Passive: Advanced Medicine.

Your Stim effects last an additional 2 seconds. Your Stim effects heal twice as much per second.

New Booster: Superior Pharmacy

Gain 70% reduced recoil and 20% faster reload while under the effects of stims.

New Vehicle Paint: Permacura Sponsored

White and blue with the Permacura Corporation logo on the side.

Medical work is always appreciated on the battlefield. With this, maybe more players would be inclined.

Another missed detail?

So, I know that Arrowhead have the vexing ability to overlook at least one thing every time they update the game.

Con Devastators still having the adamantium shield, the turrets being made brittle by the durable changes, the flame tools of the Lumberer and Flame Sentry not having hitboxes somehow…the list goes on.

I just found another, the SMG/FLAM-34 Stoker’s underbarrel flame unit doesn’t trigger the flame frenzy all other direct incendiary weapons possess. Found it on Omicron during a moment where it was…very much missed, we’ll say.

If it’s on the extensive list of known issues already, my apologies for retreading the topic.

Super Destroyer Models

With AH saying that we’re getting new Super Destroyers to personalize our experience further, I am hoping they aren’t just cosmetic. That said, immediately these came to mind, and I wanted to know what the community thinks of alternate models of destroyers having different effects.

Super Destroyer(Armada Class)

The model we currently use, a jack of all trades that has seen billions of Helldivers through to the end.

Super Destroyer(Harbinger Class)

A model tailored for mass liberation at a scale others simply cannot achieve. All Red Stratagems receive a 30% reduction in cooldown, and limited ammo Reds(basically just the laser for now but I’d like more overpowered reds that are balanced by limited quantity requiring judicious use)have double the base charges. These expanded ammo bays have seen the complete removal of Eagle and vehicle bays, preventing use of Eagle Stratagems, mechs, and automobiles.

Super Destroyer(Arsenal Class)

A Super Destroyer fitted with enough weapons to supply an entire sector with surplus munitions. Support Weapon, backpack, and Emplacement type stratagems have their cooldowns reduced by 50%, and all equipment bearing Hellpods deploy with AR-23P’s mounted to the top for fire support.(The armed resupply pods, but on all pods)The specialized small ammo crews find little time to reload orbital and Eagle weapon systems, however. Making re-arm time take twice as long. As well, vehicle storage space is reduced. Making all vehicles deployable only once.

Super Destroyer(Nest Class)

A Destroyer that sports a sophisticated Eagle hangar for fast efficient maintenance. Eagles re-arm 25% faster, and you are issued two Eagles per deployment for tandem strikes.(Basically, the 8 second wait time is removed as another Eagle will swoop in to attack when called. Just like when multiple orbitals are called simultaneously but limited to two. Each one comes with its own ammo supply) Pit crews work on mechs during down time, allowing infinite call-ins of Exo-Suits. Dedicating such resources to mechanical crews limits the armorer and specialist groups to skeleton crews. Making all non-disposable support weapons and backpacks have a limit of 3 call-ins.(Eagle Alpha behaves like the standard Eagle. Eagle Beta has all of the inputs reversed. This is to allow you to call in whichever one you want at will.)

If they are just cosmetic, that would be a missed opportunity. I want a huge shake up in the fleet. Seeing a Nest class when you join a squad, lets you know there’s an Eagle simp. A Harbinger lets you know that you should probably look out for falling ordnance more often. It would be so sublime.

Weapon customization enhancement

New muzzle option, suppressors.

Reduces sound profile significantly, but weapons equipped with them won't be as quiet as the Suppessor and Censor since they don't use subsonic ammunition.

Horizontal Spread -2

Recoil -4

Ergonomics -5

New magazine types, speed pull.

Available for extended and short mags, the speed pull sacrifices max carryable mags for a faster reload. Extended speed pull is barely slower than short mags, but you don't sacrifice your firing ammo count. You also don't get the ergo boost. Speedy shorties are very quick to reload, but you sacrifice the extra carryable magazines that they give you to compensate for the smaller size.

Reworked sights, all weapons can use all sight systems.

The R-63CS can now have irons for the ergo boost. The Las-5 gets a 10x scope. Does a shotgun need a 2x red dot? You're the one customizing it, what you say goes.

Reworked and new underbarrels, grips, knives, and lights.

Flashlight angled grips, and laser verticals are now available. Plus standalone flashlights and lasers that give either one alone for better ergo than the dual unit. Plus, every weapon can now equip a bayonet. Lower ergo and no lightshow, for close range defense.

New component, stocks.

Every weapon can swap out stocks for differing performance boosts.

Cheek rest, less sway, lower ergonomics.

Wireframe, less sway, higher recoil, higher ergonomics.

Collapsable, more sway, lower recoil.

I just want my weapons to be more personalized. New components to swap around makes that feasible.

Why is Matt so bugged?

He has several egregious bugs that make playing him a nightmare.

Animation lock-ups if you do your inputs too fast.

No fury gained from sonic pursuit.

His hitreg, oh god the hitreg.

Dino biting through his Objection.

The list goes on. What gives? Is it because his name isn’t Luna Snow or Sue Storm?

Matchmaking

Is playing Ranked the only way to have legitimate matchmaking?

I’ve been playing since S0, and just had a match with a fresh install on my team. And then another with an OAA player.

The matchmaking in S8, as we all know, is worse than ever. So do I actually have to grind ranked to get matches worth my time, or is it just as bad there?

I’ve seen the posts about knuckle draggers being seen in Celestial lobbies. Is the game just that chopped, heroes and heroines?

How Powerful Would Daredevil become With This Buff?

Most people know by now, that a popular way of getting fury faster is to cancel the end-lag of your second billie-club swing with a use of his quick melee.

You tack on some damage a little faster, while gaining fury much faster than going for a third swing. Matt only gets half a fury unit for both punches, though. Which did surprise me at first, but it does make sense balance wise. But what if he didn't have that limitation?

What if he got half a fury for each punch, making his first melee attack in his quick melee combo give him a full fury?

I'm good at the character, but I know there are people here with way more experience than me, so what are your thoughts?

I don't see it being too gamebreaking really. Just a good power boost.

What’s The Deal With Rivals’ Playerbase?

This is only coming from my experience, but I believe that Rivals has the worst players in the games I have played.

Of every PvP game I have ever played, the players I tend to encounter here have to be the least capable overall.

Overwatch

For Honor

Smite I & II

All 6 Soulsborne games

TF2

Dead by Daylight

The list goes on.

It has to be the Marvel branding attracting people who don’t have experience with these kinds of games right? It isn’t even just in game, either. The amount of horrid takes you see online is astonishing. I have seen my share of awful opinions on gaming, but some of the things you can read in the subreddits here just blow me away. Basic literacy is sometimes lost on some individuals.

Has anyone else been noticing this? I’ve been playing since launch, so I have seen the highs and lows so far. I am begging you, let me know your thoughts.

Had a weird stratagem dream.

Liberty’s Favor

20 second cooldown

Call down a Hellpod containing a random item.

If I recall correctly, there was a chance at a singular ammo box, the small barricade the Grenadier Battlement deploys but without the grenade launcher, and specifically a light bot turret. The kind you see at automaton light outposts.

Hellpods every 20 seconds, reduced further with the upgrades, would probably be stupid broken. Imagine it with the “offensive” pod boosters. Turrets, fire, smoke, and stun constantly.
