Hello all...

I'm "Diving" into my first real mod. By that, I mean more than a bezel or strap/bracelet change....

I was holding out my BLURO for this mid. But since I added the LIW Jubilee bracelet, I decided to keep it.

I've received various hand options. A few bezel options and a dial from urvintage.se.

Now I need to decide on the chapter ring.. the original black or order a white chapter ring.

Here's my options so far...

Finallt received my first Islander watch today. I've been wanting of Marc's watches for a while now. My wife, mother and mother-in-law went together and got me this for my birthday.

I'm so psyched! This is way better in person than it is in the pictures.

The bracelet was HUGE!! Plenty of links for a larger wrist. Plenty of micro adjustment slots. Just perfect!!

It may be a while before I order another one. I'm limiting myself to two a year. But can "bet the farm" I will definitely get more.

I will admit - I was worried about swimming with it, but thought, what the heck.. I can afford another if it doesn't work out.

I have a new appreciation for the Duro and that's hard to do since I loved it to start with.

I bought these bezels and dial from urvintage.se for a specific mod. I bought the BLURO for this mod as I didn't really like it that much. I also bought the LIW Jubilee bracelet for the mod as well.

As soon as I put the bracelet on the BLURO , I loved it. Keeping the BLURO as is...

I guess it's time to buy another for the mod. Which combo do you like best?

I started off today planning on grabbing one of my HA watches for the day. Next thing you know, I grab Ole Faithful.

I find myself reaching for one of my Duros almost daily. I almost have to force myself to wear the others.

They really are just that good.

I have a white dial and two different 12 hour bezel inserts coming from urvintage.se (finally).

Since my original idea, I've changed things around.

Which version do you like best? I'm leaning towards the white dial and black 12hr insert.

I find I keep going to this for my daily around the house watch. Super confortable and I don't have to worry about setting the time after a few days.

Definitely one of my faves.

This may not seem like a big deal to most of you. But today is the first day I was able to wash my car in 2 years due to knee and heart surgeries.

It is also the first time I've ever worn a watch wow being in any type of water activity. The G-Shock worked perfectly, as expected, and it was nice to be able to actually tell the time while working.

Like I said, it may not be a big deal to most people here, but it is to me. And most of all I'm happy that I can finally wear a watch while doing it.

I picked up this watch to wear for the day. This is probably one of my oldest pieces. I've changed the battery once in 15 years. It still keeps great time and even though I don't wear it often, when I do, I truly appreciate the simple features and truly enjoy it.

Sometimes Invicta gets a rap. IMO - This thing is a beaut!!

This won't be the most popular post. As a matter of fact it will likely get down voted -so be it....

I added a cyclops to my 3 Duros. I e seen it done to resemble a Submariner, but that doesn't interest me in the slightest.

I did this because my old eyes (even with glasses) couldn't read the date. I actually use that function. So.... cyclops added!!

Up close, I can see the placement may not be perfect and s little crooked- but like I said.... OLD EYES!! It's good enough for me and at least I can see the date now. 🧐

Made an earlier post whether to go with the bracelet or the strap. Going to try out the strap for the weekend to see which I like best..

I absolutely hate it when some one posts a "Help me decide" post. It's completely up to OP to decide for themselves what they like the most.

Soooo... Here's I am asking the same thing. Guess I hate myself today for being indecisive.

I genuinely like both the bracelet and the strap equally. I didnt think I liked the strap from an AI rendering I did, but it was close enough that I ordered it anyway.

Now I cant decide. Whichever it is, I'll likely keep it that way as putting the bracelet back on is PITA.

So... which do you think looks best?

I LOVE THIS WATCH!!

Ordered the Grey dial MDV-107 from Creation Watches on Thursday, and it arrived yesterday. I had a gray / silver bezel waiting in the wings and finished it up this morning.

I love my Duros. Besides my Seiko Alpinist that my wife gave me, they are probably my most worn pieces as a daily watch.

I had settled on a Hook and Loop strap on my 1a and it was EXTREMELY comfortable, but I wanted something a little nicer. Long Island Watche's Brac-74 fit the bill perfectly. It had a daily wear (less dressy) appearance but still elevates the Duro.

Today is the first day with it, but I believe this is a permanent combo for me.
