What about western media do people like?

I’ve heard many anecdotes about American or other western media in Japan, one of my favorites is the King of the Hill sub vs dub debate, but not much about what makes them popular. Some things are easy to understand, like Snoopy having a similar appeal to Japanese mascots, or Mickey Mouse being influential, but I’m interested to learn what people find cool.

If you were in charge of a Ben 10 reboot, what would you change or add to the story?

What characters from the reboot would you like to see in a future iteration?

Steam Smythe is a personal favorite of mine, he's a great personality for Ben's rogues gallery, though I wouldn't be opposed to any of the new villains sticking around. There's a solid variety, almost a little too much, but I'd be interested to see some of the goofier ones in a more serious show. They already brought back Cybearg of all characters.

Is there a name for this 90s-2000s, painted action aesthetic?

I remember this used to be everywhere for action shows, but I haven't had much luck finding anything on it. Most discussions I've seen are for the Ben 10 art specifically or the eagle baseball meme.

[IIL] Shows about building or testing physical objects

I've been feeling nostalgic for shows like Mythbusters and wanted to try anything similar. They don't need to be about myths specifically, what I'm looking for is the scientific aspect, insight into building fun and creative objects or experiments. Some YouTube videos scratch a similar itch, especially Hacksmith, but most tend to be pop culture themed. I'm not opposed to other content about that but I'd like a balance.

[TOMT] Moist Critical stream where he reads the angriest comment section on YouTube

Not sure if this is the right place to ask about this, but I'm trying to find a stream that preceded this video. For those who haven't seen it, the video is him recapping a notorious comment chain that went on for an absurd stretch of time. Someone said he liked a song from a Mario game, and two people waged war either defending or insulting his opinion, to a point where it began affecting one of their personal lives. The video itself isn't a clip from any stream, but I was curious if he was told about it on one. All he says is he heard about it from Twitter, and from my own searching I haven't found any evidence it happened during one, even if he didn't I'd be interested in any stream where he acknowledged the incident.

Books about ordinary people living in space

I’ve taken up an interest in the subject of terraforming lately, and wanted to see if anyone’s made a story about what it would be like for people who grew up in that setting. I’m aware of the Red/Blue/Green Mars trilogy, been meaning to read them for a while, but I’d like something primarily about an average citizen. If not on a terraformed world, then any other kind of colonized setting, like a distant planet or even a space station. Anything that explores how different life would be, and maybe even what their perspective would be on Earth.

Preferably not anything cynical or pessimistic, I’m okay with political messaging but I want to read to escape, not to feel worse.

Can't hide threads

All of a sudden the hide button doesn't seem to be working. It looks like it hides threads at first, but as soon as I reload the page they come back. Strangely though downvotes still remove threads like normal. Is this happening to anyone else?

With the new Ben 10 comic coming out I've been in the mood for media with transformations. I can't really think of anything else where it's a central focus, but just being one of many mechanics is also fine. Ideally though it would be actual transforming with unique designs and powers, not just simply swapping between characters. In particular I'd like a game with character customization carrying over to forms.
