[suprisingly rare trope] The Religious people aren't the bad guys/antagonists

1: Axis Order - Konosuba(specifically Megumin's spin-off)

While they certainly aren't GOOD people(many of them not being allowed near children, if you know what I mean), they are pretty damn helpful, giving blessings to Megumin, feeding her, and protecting her from a demon, who almost certainly would have murdered her for the cat

2: Khan - Metro

While he is more spiritual than religious, I'd say it counts. Khan is a chill dude who is basically always right, and in the non-canon good ending, he's basically the reason the Dark Ones survive and presumably go on to join with humanity and reconquer the surface

3: Priestess - Goblin Slayer

She's a priestess, idk what exactly she believes in, besides some god, but Goblin Slayer is basically a DnD game, so I'd assume one of the basic Cleric gods. But anyway, she's super chill and basically never directly kills, though she probably has the highest indirect kill count in the series

4: Father Grigori - Half Life

He's certainly insane, but so would you be if your entire town was wiped out and turned into zombies, he saves you, gives you a shotgun, and helps you get out of town, while he stays to "tend with his flock", and while murder isn't something you'd usually associate with good, the zombies are in constant suffering

How would you improve the forms in Dragon Ball? And also, how would you upgrade other characters to catch up?

For the first part of my question, I've got some ideas(these aren't that original I'm sure)

SSJ grades are fine, they are meant to show improvement over time, though I think a better idea for the Cell Saga would be for Gohan to have beaten Cell in SSJ. not 2, so instead, he manages to unlock SSJ during the fight, and easily beat Cell, it would show just how much Gohan outclasses everyone, he has the same form, but completely dismantles a villain everyone else can't do anything to

Then, obviously, SSJ2 is something Goku and Vegeta unlock during the time-skip to surpass the lazy Gohan, SSJ 3 basically does nothing anyway and doesn't win, so it's fine to have that come later

SSJ3, I would have as a form Goku unlocked during the time-skip between Buu and BoG. Goku would use it against Beerus, and it would be shown to us that SSJ just isn't going to cut it anymore

He gets God, which imo, should have its own special powers, healing, seeing directly into peoples souls, maybe even some Kai powers

Blue should be introduced during the Universe 6 arc, with Goku using it to beat Hit

Then I think everything else is fine(though I'd have Vegeta use a proto version of Ultra Ego, rather than Evolution)

Forms/Upgrades for everyone else

Roshi, if we wanted to bring him back into the story, which, going by the TOP and Moro arc, seems to be what the writer is going for, should just be the first human, and second mortal to unlock Ultra Instinct

Krillin should get Ultimate, or perhaps a human form, "Super Human", he has the most potential after all

Yamcha is lazy, and I feel like he'd jump at the opportunity to get an easy power-up, what would it be? Becoming an android, Infinite energy, energy drain and biological enhancements

Tien shouldn't get a form, he should be the techinque master, Yardrat, King Kai, Supreme Kai, Namekain magic, everything, he should learn EVERYTHING

Are the guys in the suits just normal people, or are they super soldiers in some way, like the Spartans in Halo

Just about to play Crysis 2, and I bet it's already answered in that or 3, but I was wondering

If the KPA forces teamed up with the US forces in Crysis 1(after the Ceph awoke, of course) would they have been able to contain the threat?

As we see in Warhead especially, the KPA still had a massive presence on the Island, with many Nanosuit wearing soldiers

TRULY Temporary alliances against greater threats

None of that "And then they became true allies", or stayed allies after the fact, no, just a temporary alliances, that quickly goes back into opponents once all is said and done

1: The Gravemind teaming up with you to take down Truth - Halo

The Flood aid the UNSC-Covenant Seperatist joint force in taking down The Covenant Loyalists, as the activation of the Halo array will destroy all life in the Galaxy, which is a net negative for everyone

Right after Truth is dead, The Flood immediately betray you, as they obviously would

2: The battle of Uan’voss - Warhammer 40k

While there are many examples, I thought this one was pretty cool. The Tau and Necrons teamed up to fight the Tyranids, while they didn't immediately fight afterwards, the Necrons are hostile to everyone, so technically, they are still fighting on other fronts

3: Everyone fucking up Shara Ishvelda - Monster Hunter

You "kill" Ruiner Nergigante, then go on to fight Shara, after beating it, the creature suddenly gets back up, ready to begin round 3, only for Nergigante to reappear, kill Shara with zero difficulty, and leave. While it's not confirmed, I like to believe that he's meant to be the same one who saves you against Bezelgeuse, and also your first Ruiner Nergigante kill later on. But either way, I HEAVILY doubt this Nergigante went on to make peace with humans, even if he's probably intelligent enough to do so

The opposite of power creep, the next villain/threat or stakes are lesser than the previous one

1: Skar King - Monsterverse

He is a significantly reduced threat then the previous main villains, and while he wishes to rule the world, every other threat would have destroyed it(Muto's resetting the world, Ghidorah performing the rumbling, Mechagodzilla just killing everything he sees)

2: The Banished - Halo

The previous villain, the Covenant, were a massive galaxy spanning empire, while the Banished are basically just a bunch of pirates struggling against the skeleton crew of a single ship

3: The Swarm - Gears of War

The successor to the Locust Horde, they are SIGNIFICANTLY weaker. The Locust were able to wipe out 20% of humanity on the first day of their war, and basically NEVER lost until the very end, while the Swarm is struggling, and losing nearly every conflict, with a much weaker humanity who haven't even come close to how strong they were

4: Arc 4 - Re:Zero

In Arc 3, we had;

An Archbishop intent on reviving a witch who would destroy the world

A giant whale that can wipe out whole armies, that our protagonist needs to defeat to gain allies

Any time the main characters girlfriend died, a giant cat would try to destroy the world

The erasure of a major character

In Arc 4, we have;

Characters trapped in a place, and some monsters and assassins want to kill the main characters loved ones

If all of Clayman's plans worked out, what was he actually planning to do?

Lets say that Geld evolved into a true demon lord, Charybdis is fully controlled, the mind control on Millim works, Carrion dies, Frey is loyal to him and he evolved as a true demon lord

Was he going to take over the world with all that? Surely he would have been stopped by Guy before then, was he just overconfident or would it have actually worked?

[Sad Trope] Misunderstanding/Not understanding causes a character to spiral to an insane degree

1: Gloxinia killing Rou - Seven Deadly Sins

Gloxinia mistakenly believes that Rou killed Gerheade, so he goes insane and instantly kills him, before going on to join the Demon Clan, become a commandment, and commit numerous attrocities in their name, which includes murdering one of his good friends, Meliodas. While he does eventually learn his mistake and make ammends with his sister and Rou's reincarnation, it's pretty short lived, as the fairy king goes on to sacrifice himself for his successor

2: Eris leaves Rudeus - Mushoku Tensei

Eris has a massive inferiority complex, thinking that Rudy is way stronger than her, she's just in the way and needs to get stronger. So after having sex with him, she leaves a note with him and goes on a journey to get stronger so she can fight by his side

The problem is that she's REALLY bad with words, what did she write? "Sorry, we aren't a good match" or something to that effect, she assumed Rudy would be able to understand exactly what she meant because "he's a genius"

This leads to Rudy believing she left because he was THAT bad in bed, which is a bit comedic, until he becomes a shut in, barely eats and just sleeps for a few days, and when he goes to find his family, he's still depressed, and it all comes back when his next love interest, who very much resembles Eris in personality, makes fun of him for having erectile disfunction, after another misunderstanding, he tries to straight up kill himself. He gets better though, when his first best friend has sex with him, curing his ED, and was still there when he woke up the next day(which is a massive fear he has, that the girl would be gone the next day cause of what Eris did)

3: Gluttony Subaru killing EVERYONE - Gluttony What If, Re:Zero

In this official what if, instead of that final "I'll remember, I'll save you all" moment in season 4 ep 11, Subaru gives in to what his memory version of Meili says to him, to "Kill everyone and read their books of the dead", which would allow him to understand why everyone loves Natsuki Subaru(he has lost his memories, and everyone around him are talking about how great he is, all the deeds he's done and stuff)

Subaru goes on the kill EVERYONE who knows "Subaru", reading their books and inheriting all their memories, and even these hallucination of them that can help him, he gains white hair from reading Beatrices book, as it has her 400 years of isolation in it, and blinds himself in one eye from bashing his head against a bookshelf.

And what makes all this possible is Shaula, who anime onlies might not think is THAT strong because we haven't seen much, but she's straight up mudering characters as strong as Roswaal

Kazuma is a surprisingly good guy

I've been rewatching the anime, and I've noticed that despite his perviness, he has some good traits;

1: The most obvious, sacrificing himself for a girl that he thought was about to die, this was when he had no powers and no goddess to resurrect him

2: When his party caused problems, he refused rewards from solving said problems, like when Aqua created the barrier, or when monsters kept attacking the convoy to the Axis city

3: His perviness completely stops when the situation is serious, and when he literally had Megumin right there, with her mother giving him the go-ahead, he did nothing until he seemingly made it into a joke, I'm assuming to break the tension or to not break character

How long was the Locust-Lambent war?

I just realized how badly equipt the Locust were at dealing with the Lambent threat

Wretches and Corpsers, who are their main beast force, are melee units. Brumaks can only fight in wide open areas. Berserkers, who could otherwise tear through hundreds of Lambent, are weak to the lambents explosions, and are also melee units, meaning they could easily be infected

How long were they fighting them before realizing that maybe they shouldn't be sending waves of Wretches right into infestation?

Idk why this is even a thing anymore, but I guess I'll talk about it anyway, yes, Toji can see curses, manga spoilers

Maki can hear and see Naoya

Maki can see curses without her glasses now

Toji can percieve curses with his five senses

Toji hearing and Replying to Kuchisake

I know this is a dead topic, but someone genuinely argued this with me today, so here you guys go

Are there any other "Unyielding Threat" type mods for other campaigns?

Unyielding Threat is a mod that makes the Flood appear in the first mission of Halo CE(even with cool in-gameplay story moments), I was wondering if any other mods do this?

I remember a mod a while ago for Halo 3 that did it, but I can't find it whatsoever

The idea is just so cool, and Unyielding Threat seems to be abandoned as of now

[Loved Trope], The big bad is small fry in comparison to the evils that came before

1: Sauron and Morgoth - Lord of the Rings;

Morgoth is basically a god, or super-angel, the strongest of his kind. Sauron was only his servant in the past, and never reached his masters level

2: The Covenant and The Flood - Halo;

The Flood were a universal threat, who were made up of literal gods who could manipulate reality, they wiped out the most powerful faction to ever exist, and there was an implication that the Flood weren't even using their full power. The Covenant rule some of the galaxy and can destroy planet, humanity was helpless against them and only won through plot and the Covenant being REALLY bad at tactics(to the point that Thel being somewhat competent made him the most dangerous Covenant Fleet Master in existence)

The Flood would wipe The Covenant out not even noticing they were at war(assuming the flood are at full power of course)

[loved trope], a villains attempt at being reassuring is scarier than any kind of intimidation

Gravemind - Halo;

>"Do not be afraid. I am peace; I am salvation."
"I am a timeless chorus. Join your voice with mine, and sing victory everlasting."

Baby - Five Nights at Freddy's;

>"There is nowhere to go... when we look like this. But if we looked like you, then we could hide. If we looked like you, then we would have somewhere to go. The scooper only hurts for a moment."

Conquest - Invincible;

>Hey. Hey. Don't give up, you can do this, You've still got a chance, you just need a little more...... Motivation

As he's holding down Mark while looking at a bunch of civilians

Rather than a solo film for any non-Godzilla or Kong Titans(since that's never gonna happen), would a series with each episode focusing on a different titan work out?

I feel like that's the best option, an animated series, 8 or 10 episodes each, focusing on a different titan each

The problem with having some big Hollywood blockbuster live action is the cost, they would NEVER risk having a solo Rodan movie because it just wont be successful, but a show? That could work

These episodes could show how ancient people interacted with the titans, the Godzilla-Kong War, Godzilla's ancient battle with Ghidorah, maybe even a previous MUTO reset

I always wondered why Lickers seemed like more popular BOW's than Hunters post-Umbrella, turns out they can reproduce

"But that's all we've got so far. They're still blind as an old lady, and they're ugly as shit. The biggest jump in their evolution seems to be their ability to reproduce."

- Tricell Researcher Miguel's Journal - No. 1, Resident Evil 5

Sure, they might be weaker and ultimately less effective, especially the Beta variants who have an exposed heart and weaker musculature, but all you need to do is buy a couple and you can make an army, the fact that they are sold at such a "low" price is insane when you consider this

Hunters are still cooler though, and I want to see them more

[discussion] How does Regulus do the shield thing, like when he blocked Crusch's sword swing and Geuse's invisible hands

So, Regulus can still be thrown around, and even "damaged" but it just doesn't affect him, and the damage is negated afterwards(as we see with his neck snapping and Subaru punching him)

But how is he able to make that invisible shield around himself, and why doesn't he do it to just...... Stop Reinhard from yeeting him around?

[Cool Trope] Monstrous(non-human), yet extremely loyal bodyguards

1: The Verdugo - Resident Evil

They would die for their master, and sacrifice their bodies for whatever mission he sends them on, in the remake, one of them is also his loyal butler who's served the family for a long time, which certainly explains the extreme loyalty in the monster, he probably doesn't even need to be mind controlled(rip, I killed him, totally wasn't worth the ammo, but it was fun)

2: Berserker(Heracles) - Fate

He is the servant of Illya, and protects her furiously, even treating her like she was his own daughter, pretty sure he even gets a power-up from her, showing just how close they are(it doesn't end up working out well, but hey, it was cool while it lasted)

3: Godzilla Jr. - Godzilla: The Series

He imprinted on Nick when he was a baby, and now protects him from any threat that comes their way, even at one point having to kill his own parent to defend Nick

4: The Arnold Terminator - Terminator

While he is of course humanoid, he isn't human, so he fits. Arnold was sent back in time to protect John Connor, twice, and managed to succeed

Adding onto the title, if you think yes, which titans would they have kept, and which would they get rid of?

Given how integral the Godzilla/Kong war is, and the whole thing of Kong looking for his kind, I could see Skar staying
