Share Your Cup Sunday - comment what cup you’re favoring this week!

This week I’m favoring my clear, Amazon find, butterfly cup. I’m drinking Tropical Fruit Oolong and I like the color so I went with my clear cup.

Yes this cup is an Amazon find but it reminds me of my friend and Afternoon Tea partner. My friend introduced my to Butterfly Pee Tea and its color, so I got us matching cups for our next drink.

Comment your cup ☺️

Introduction: New Mod

Hi! I’m one of the new Mods to this page and wanted to introduce myself.

I love antique china cups and have a small collection. I enjoy drinking tea. I’m a big fan of Downton Abbey and the Gilded Age, but I’ve been a fan of antiques, tea cups, and heirlooms since I was young.

Our new Mod tea is excited to revitalize things! Please keep an eye on the page rules and in general for updates in the coming weeks. If you have teacups to show off, give them a polish and think about doing a post to share them with the community! Reach out to the Mod team with questions or concerns.

Roast this brat for her Bougie (and expensive) haircut!

Becca is 9 and gets matted after spring shedding. Her fur does that cotton bunch up and matting thing. We get her cleaned up once summer starts. She seems to feel better after.

Progress: 4”11 - from 155 down 18lbs to 136.4 since March.

I’m proud of myself for putting in the work. I calorie track daily a goal of 1,433 and I do 30min on the elliptical 4 or 5 days a week.

River (M4) went on a drug induced rampage 😭

So we forgot there was a catnip container by the bed. River found it, went bezerk. I got two scratches soon after. Zero remorse was shown.

Appreciation for Mrs. Fane’s outfit

Not the best pictures but STILL! Her hair accessories, jewelry, the sleeves!! She rivals Cinderella!

Jack , 12, final update 🎉

He’s comfy being his dads video-game buddy and I disturbed him 🙄

The update: Jack is Medically Cleared, Stable as of this mornings idolized calcium check post thyroid surgery. His levels stabilized. Histopathology also reports no thyroid cancer. There were two. benign adenomas but margins were clear. Surgery is showing to be curative.

We do have early kidney disease to think about, but it’s pretty early stage, we are scheduled to check on that in the Fall.

Jack, 13, Update on 4

Jack had another iodineized-calcium check today. It was normal but close to being low. We don’t want it low because that could lead to seizures. We go back Thursday to see what it’s doing. Probably Monday too. So far as we know the worst intervention is a little calcium supplement and that’s really not bad. He didn’t like going this morning and is tired.

Good news is the vet certified him a Such A Good Boy and the staff loves him!

Please send vibes of stability that calcium does not drop critically low.

River (M4) believes mice deserve humane treatment!

River (M4) refused to catch the mouse and made mom set a humane peanut butter trap. The mouse was safely released into the alley near some flowers.

Tired Jack, 12, update 3

He had his first post-operative iodized-calcium check. It’s trending down very well! From 1.45 to 1.27. His incision also looks very well. We have another check Monday. We were not happy to get our pain meds this morning or go to the vet and he’s very tired now.

We are dealing with some early kidney disease. I’ve always expected this would eventually come but I didn’t expect it so soon. But it’s early and the urine is not yet concentrated. We follow up on that in 3 months.

Jack, 12, update 2

He is SO happy to be home… and on pain meds 😅

He’s excited to see that he’s at his house and to eat his normal food.

Don’t tell Mommy’s boss but he’s gonna sneak into the home office for a little bit while dad runs an errand lol

We go back Thursday and Monday for calcium checks. Then a two-week post-op and calcium plan.

Update 1 in Jack, 11

He is out of thyroid removal surgery and recovering well in the ICU.

The original plan of just taking two para-thyroids turned into that plus a who thyroid that was giant. Luckily, they think he will be just fine with minimal calcium intervention if any.

Thank you to everyone that’s thought about him. He gets to come home tomorrow!

Another wear the dang sunscreen and a hat

(32F)This week was my second MOHS for Basal Cell Carcinoma. I went back to the same surgeon because the first time it was my face and you can’t even tell.

Anyway, despite an annual dermatology visit, this spot took two rounds of removal. The Z is so I don’t get a permanent bald spot.
