AriesMS? What is up with this server

So in my attempt to find a modern server, I finally tried AriesMS. For some reason it took nearly 8 hours to install (never had to wait over an hour for other private server installations) only to find it is absolutely RIDDLED in bugs.

Like just check out the forums, there is basically a new bug being mentioned every day.

I tried making a Hayato, my game crashed.

Tried making a Kanna, my game crashed.

Made a Bishop, game didn't crash, but for some reason I'm a swordsman instead.

The AriesMS Discord is locked to new players or anyone curious about the server, you are forced to make a character and take a screenshot to be able to interact with main channels and potentially wait up to a week before being allowed into the server. I asked why I couldn't play as Hayato/Kanna and my comments were deleted by a moderator.

I actually try the game for myself at this point and I am sort of weirded out by it's progression system. It feels more like a GMS 1.5, not really offering anything that the actual official GMS server doesn't already do in 2026.

I also hear this server has a major P2W/DP(?) issue as well but most of those complaints are from 2 years ago.

Can anyone who plays Aries tell me what makes this server worth playing on if anything at all?

They cannot be serious.

I made an order around 24 hours ago. Was missing part of the order and therefore the item was not in the picture.

Why did support ask for a new picture 24 hours later after the food has been eaten/thrown away AND ask for the missing item to be in the picture???

Are we for real..? Lmao. I should get compensation just for seeing such a dumb reply 🤣

Zen is way too strong right now.

Seriously. Insanely tanky, good damage, discord orb, and his healing ain't even bad neither especially once he starts getting into the 3rd or 4th round. It's honestly embarrassing to lose a damn 3v1 into Zen because he just has 700HP and constantly heals it all back while still having enough damage to wombo-combo your DPS.

What the actual FUCK have they been feeding him this season?

best Modern server?

Basically looking for a server that is as close to the current version GMS or KMS as possible

Would prefer if it

-Had free NX/cheaper NX

-Wasn't fully P2W, but some P2W is okay.

-Wasn't a buggy mess

-Has around 2x/3x rates, as I'm not a fan of crazy high rate servers like 50x or 100x.

Any suggestions?

Wtfff is this matchmaking bro.

Seriously. 4 games in a row of the most toxic annoying mfs known to mankind. Some people are straight up throwing and pointing fingers before we even begin round 2.

New season bullshit I guess. This is not fun at all.

List of bugs in PTS so far

Compiling a list of every bug I've witnessed so far in PTS, feel free to comment what else is currently happening. This is just for fun/discussion let's not start any wars.

- Textboxes completely blank or not in English

- Inventory UI errors (double storage room)

- Event UI errors (challenger gear UI shows 5 hats for example)

- You can have multiple genesis weapons

- Erel 6th job is unavailable (reports say this might be intentional)

- Certain bosses cannot be entered or give errors

- Cernium is unavailable

- Sol erda not dropping from bosses

I don't think any of this will carry over into the actual game but it's just funny

Why is Junkrat suddenly banned so much?

Did people finally realize he's not a bad hero or something? Im on the cusp of Masters 5 but I swear I see a JR ban in 50% of my games now. What is this 🤣

Geek culture is going through a "larpdemic."

It's possibly one of the strangest times to be a geek right now. In recent years it's become increasingly trendy to show an interest in nerd/geek culture, especially things like video games, TCG, and anime. With this I seen quite a large amount of people who don't actually know or understand any of these things, but pretend that they do because it is simply trendy. For the sake of simplicity, we will call it larping, merely pretending to be fans of said thing. Some of the more elitist folk may even call them "normies."

For some context, my main interests have been video games and anime since I was a little kid, it stayed around way well into my 20s. I would legitimately wake myself up at 3am on the weekends to catch an episode of Inuyasha on Toonami and continue grinding out on MMOs. For all that it's worth, I was a nerdy ass kid. And while I have somewhat outgrown this deep obsession I once had, now turned more into casual hobbies, I can't help but notice this worldwide sudden interest in things that I used to be made fun of for bar 15 years ago.

I understand that pop-culture has shifts and changes, but this all just feels so fake. Twitter/Instagram accounts of people cosplaying as anime characters they don't actually know about, proudly mispronouncing their names and not even knowing their backstory... sometimes they don't know what series they are from but cosplay as them anyway.

You can find thousands of people with profile pictures of random anime/game characters, but they don't know who the character is. It wouldn't take that long to find a person who thinks their pfp is Zelda when it's actually Link.

There's people who never played a single Persona title, but say they are big fans of the series just because they listened to the soundtrack a couple times. People who never played a single Devil May Cry game, but say that Dante is their "husbando." Hell, I seen larpers for Silent Hill 2 and Warhammer 40k these days. And don't even get me started on the people who claim to be fans of Nier just because they think 2B is hot.

Maybe I am being an elitist, but to me you can't really be a fan of something until you actually put some time into understanding what it is. If I say "Yeah I like rap music" but I can't name you more than 3 artists, am I really into rap or do I just tolerate it's existence?

Granted, I think enjoying one aspect of something can lead a person into enjoying the full experience later on, but the problem is that these larpers try and make judgements or opinions (that others take as factual, for whatever reason) on these series before they ever actually get into them if they even planned to. It's like when anime "fans" try and cancel anime as a whole because they disagree with something in a single show, and then go onto say that they seen an episode of Naruto a few years ago- therefore they are basically an anime guru.

I once had a friend irl who was not so different from this archetype of people. The guy watched maybe 3 anime, but would always try to "educate" me on them as well as Japan as a whole. Incredibly annoying to be frank.

Unfortunately, these voices are sometimes heard over the true fans of (X) thing and then the fans get unnecessary slander, biases, or changes no one asked for. I'm sure this applies to alot of things, but I feel it more-so now than ever in the past. I also want to mention that this is more-so an experience I have outside the walls of someplace like an internet forum (such as the one we are using right now), which is bound to attract more people like myself than alot of other websites, both on the internet and real-life.

Edit: Because people lack some braincells, I didn't only watch Inuyasha. I seen 100s of anime since then. It was an example, not my literal catalog.

Game has been extra toxic as of last patch. Wtf is going on?

Seriously. Every game now is someone leaving halfway through a match, slinging slurs in the game chat, purposely trying to kill their squadmates, throwing, not rebooting, etc.

Whats even the point anymore, man.. this ain't fun

Quite literally just had a game where I rebooted this guy and then I died a few minutes later. I go to him and he starts tbagging me and lets me die and takes my loot

Its squads. Why do this?

Cookie the stray, I'll miss you

Had to put her down today. Only 7 years old. She was a stray cat that always hung around our house. Fed her and gave her attention whenever she wanted.

She got sick a couple days ago. She was a cat that was extremely cautious of humans and never even allowed us to touch her, but she came to us for help, and even allowed us to pet her... even if it was just for a few days.

Took her to an emergency vet and they said her vitals were fine, giving us hope. They made us wait 2 hours more and then told us she would need to be put down due to abscess fluid in her organs.

I think my mother is the most devastated out of all of us, Cookie looks ALOT like my mom's first cat, whom we've had for nearly 17 years (and quite sometime before my own birth) before he passed away a few years ago.

But we are animal lovers. We have other stray cats who come to our house looking for food and maybe even love like Cookie did. The job isn't over. I just hope Cookie is in a better place now.

Hot Take: One Card is poorly designed

A single game with 3-4 players can take 10 minutes, and you can end up in last place for a measly 100 points. If you keep getting unlucky it can take literal hours for a single cosmetic event reward.

It's too easy to get into this constant cycle where each player constantly gets 4+ cards added to their deck and everyone keeps swapping colors to make it impossible for anyone to win.

Hell, I just had a game where all of us unanimously agreed to lose on purpose because it was taking way too long.

In a 1 on 1 , sure the game is fun. It's when you have 3-4 players it's just kind of dumb. They should simply allow you to take consecutive turns if you have the same color/number like similar traditional card games. Otherwise it just becomes a clicking Sim as you watch everyone spam through their cards rather than try and be strategic.

How do I directly report to mods?

I keep getting followed by accounts posing as children or people who are open about being p3dophiles and its getting annoying.

Need to see them all burn in real-time but reporting hasn't done much

The internet's reaction to these games is genuinely mind-numbing.

Never gonna let this die.

Not spawning with shockwaves?

Gonna assume this is a bug. Sometimes I flat out spawn without a pocket item available, sometimes I do. Anyone else? Its put me at a disadvantage in early game already lol

I genuinely do not understand why it feels like, these days especially, people like to call every single anime character "autistic" or say they have ADHD.

Kuudere and Deredere characters seem to receive this comment the most. These are simply long-time anime tropes that were never meant to display mental disabilities but rather give these characters memorable personalities that bounce off other characters to create contrast, enable a funny moment in the series, and sometimes a means to hide their true selves or histories.

Not to say it is wrong for people to relate to anime characters or perceive things in one way, it just seems weird to me to label characters as autistic/adhd and try to tell others it is canon, to the point there is entire communities who have come to a full conclusion that a character is autistic because it's been said enough times despite no real evidence to support it.

Am I alone on this feeling, or am I looking a little too deep into it? I even have friends who call some of my favorite characters "autistic" (let's say Okabe Rintaro from Steins;Gate) and I am just like bro, they are nerdy... being nerdy isn't inherently an autistic trait...?

I've been taking Uber rides for a few years now, something like 200 rides with a 4.96 rating. While I dont think drivers should be forced to have a full conversation with someone, I do think they should at least have common courtesy + manners.

I greeted my driver, but he didn't reply. Didn't even look at me either and he was staring at his phone

And he did understand English, as he picked up a phone call a few minutes into the ride through bluetooth speakers.

When we reached my destination I said "Thank you sir" and once again he didn't say a word to me.

I give 99% of my driver's a 5 star rating and a $5 tip unless it's a very long ride where I'd tip more. But sometimes I get drivers like these and wonder if they really deserve either of those... what do other drivers think?
