Bonds by photo?

Hello! I have been using stuffed animals as emotional support my entire life. And I discovered this reddit because of it!

My entire life (especially now that I can buy things on my own) I have had a tendency to stumble across various stuffed animals on eBay, I spent a long time feeling confused because I would see a photo of a plushie, and obsess and have to look at it 24/7 ect ect

Most of the time, it fades off. But I've bonded with at least four stuffed animals that (at the time) I've never seen or touched.

And when I DO buy them when the bond is strong enough to me that it manifests....I'm not sure how to say this and sound sane, like.

I guess it manifests stronger reactions and feelings, and the effectiveness can be altered as well. It's usually so strong I have to put plushies down to recuperate while holding them?

Point of the post : has anyone experienced anything similar? Or is it just my particular cocktail of mental disorders? Thank you!

Mental disorders and BDSM?

Uh. Hi.

So I recently started dating my life partner (we knew each other for a decade prior) , and we don't have sex! Personal choices. But from what I understand, BDSM goes beyond the bedroom.

I think---? I think I hear my partner's voice and my entire body and mind enter a space I am not familiar with. And from what I understand, it may be sub space? Of sorts?

It's not a purposeful choice either of us are making, so I'm having some trouble deciphering what is ""average"" to that situation --- I am Autistic, severely traumatized, schizoaffective Bipolar 1, and psychosis symptoms.

So, long story short--- how can I tell that

A) I am in that state, especially in regards to my body since I tend to manifest symptoms, lack of better terms, in my body. Like, my brain blocks everything.

B) Indications from similar experiences people out on this nice reddit on what may be unhealthy warning signs I should be aware of?

Thank you for reading!

Vintage (2001) BABW Vs Modern BABW (2026

Hello, greater reddit community!

I wanted to show off some structure differences between the BABW bears and open a discussion!

The models here are Peony (mothman model) and Maple Taffy (Canadian Patriotic Pup). I chose these two today because I feel they belong in a similar family---which is "exclusives".

I define this by two factors: at time of release, both bears were short ran/ lower priority to most collectors. Secondly, they SHOULD be similar of general like, popularity?

(There's few things humanity loves more than the supernatural and rooting for your own team. )

MY PERSONAL LOGIC ASIDE---

I think it is a fun comparison I found this morning while taking pictures! The older bear (Maple Taffy) is shorter overall, but seems to be made of higher quality materials and structures.

And with Peony, she is certainly streamlined! I can appreciate simplicity. But I do feel the modern style body is better for children. From what Ive seen, the older bears are more...collectables? They are designed to last a long time. And I feel with the issues I ran into in the (ongoing) customization of Peony, is that the fur lining is WAY thinner than the older models. I've also had to trim around the limbs to help reduce bulk and make the wings sit flatter on the body.

(Also, I will make a separate post for peony's customization when she is finished.)

What have y'all noticed about the bear models over the years?

I NEED TO DATE THE SHADOW AND IF CHAPS WONT LET ME IN THERE, IM BRING HIM OUTTT/j

Okay so jokes aside, I love skips so much not ONLY did I need to commission HIM custom from an Instagram artist!

(This was during a chaotic period of my life, and for my health I have deleted my account since.)

His companion is "AntUmbra"!

I enjoy the classic penumbra, but for the self indulgent fanfiction story in my brain Antumbra is better!

Antumbra was bought as a commission on Etsy!

(and literally just me if I isekai'd myself into the game on purpose)

My. Apologies if this is mislabeled! It was....a bit difficult to decide.

Odd Artifact experience?

Okay so basically. I was at this touring event for artifacts in my area with a friend.

And I was very excited! It's odd though, because two artifacts in particular seemed to set off instant flight mode panic the second I saw them.

Now, under most circumstances, I would have brushed it off as nerves. I believe in the paranormal, but I wasn't,,,seeking it? I suppose?

Anyways. There were two specific pieces I saw for the first time, had zero idea of correlation or anything.

.....I hate to say this, because I don't want to be rude--

But the fact of the matter is: they were two Egyptian artifacts related to the god Horus.

An actual statue, and the portrait of a boy who was sacrificed to him by his parents.

I'm sorry about the photos. It became hard to stand in front or be in sight of these artifacts without feeling attacked.

Has anyone else had that issue?

....my great grandfather immigrated to the USA from Greece, if that matters?
