What to pack (household items)

Heyyy!

Was wondering what you guys are packing / had packed while going on an erasmus that doesn’t include clothes, accesories, skin care, makeup and what not.

What sort of kitchenware or other household items did you bring?

Is it smart to bring a hair dryer, iron (or steamer).

Thanks in advance!!💜

Weather from September till February

Hey guys,

I am going to Heraklion as an erasmus student and I will be staying there from September till February. Could you recommend what sort of outside clothing would be good to bring?
I don’t have endless luggage space so I am trying to plan out what are the necessities I should bring.

If you have any more tips or advice its greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!!💜

How can I pack up everything?

Hey guys,

Maybe it’s just me and I have way too much much stuff but I am starting to worry how will I able to pack up all my life at home and move to a new country for half a year.
I keep overthinking which items i need to leave here and which to bring, just imagining my makeup, skincare, bodycare, clothes and stuff, I have no clue if all of it will fit.

How did you guys determine what to bring? Was it just the bare essentials?
Thank you!!

Update error

Hello!

I have been stuck with this issue for 3 hours now and I don’t know what to do.
My dad had a pair of rayban stories for a while not using them and had finally decided to sell them for cheap just to get rid of them. He unpaired them from his phone and gave them to the buyer, but once they paired it, it asked for an update. While updating it loses the connection and shows and error and try again. We did everything to try fixing it. We unpaired ir, we tried it with 2 other phones to pair it, we used mobile data, wifi, hotspot. Nothing works.

I saw online its a common problem. Does anyone have any advice to fix it? Im scared if we fix it, sell it, it might happen soon after again.
Meta support for some reason can’t connect me with a live agent and the AI is no help at all.

Really appreciate the help!🧡

“Studying”

Just wanted to ask those who have been on Erasmus, how much studying did you do while there? I hear many people jokingly and non-jokingly say that no one is studying while there, everyone is just having a good time. Is that true?
If so, did you have a hard time getting back to studying when you returned home?

A laptop for both gaming and studies

Hii,

I have been looking online for a new laptop, because my 4 year old Asus tuf f15 is a nightmare at this point. (Could rant about it for hours, maybe mine was just a fluke)

My sister (who doesn’t even have a laptop) keeps insisting I should get the Alienware Aurora 16 gaming laptop but I keep coming back to the Lenovo legion 5 pro because of its good reviews.

I am a light gamer, don’t play that many games (I have seen people here say it’s not worth spending my money on a good graphics card for that) and i am studying software engineering for which I would use the laptop for programming. It would be just everyday use: school, youtube, light gaming.

Is the Lenovo legion 5 pro a good choice for that? Maybe you would recommend a different one? Maybe I shouldn’t get a gaming laptop at all because I wouldn’t use it for that too much?

Thanks in advance!🩷

Always hungry

Maybe I’m just very into food (definitely true) but since I started actively working out 4 times a week and getting AT LEAST 10k steps a day, I’m genuinely always hungry. I can eat filling foods, i can down bunch of water before meals, nothing. I have cut down on junk and other less nutritious foods, focusing on whole foods, but i feel like I could eat a whole fridge.
I’m not in a calorie deficit, probably around my maintenance or even a slight surplus, just focusing on building muscle at the moment. Is it my body’s way of saying it is not happy with my life’s choices?

Full body or split?

Just interested what people like more, which ones do you feel like you made more progress on?

20y.o. Girl, I go 4 times a week to the gym and for the past month or so have been doing full body, but I feel like Im rushing a bit to get all the exercises down in an hour.

Also question: is it okay/good if I were to keep jumping between full body, split workouts every month or so, if I grow tired of one?

Thanks in advance!🩷

Leg press placement

Does the leg placement reaaaally make it that you are working out different leg muscles? Like if I place my legs one way, i might underwork some other muscles? If there is, whats the best placement?

Thanks in advance!🩷

Hair dying and refreshing colour

Hello!

I have been dying my brown hair for the past two years to a ginger/copper colour, depending on what dye I buy.

I dye it at home, using vol 30 on my roots and I try to upkeep the other part of my hair using coloured conditioners and masks.

I want a more vibrant colour on my overall head, when I freshen up my roots, they are way brighter than my ends, which get way more faded through out the weeks, even with using coloured masks.

Should I use a 10 vol on my entire head to actually colour it or should i stick with color conditioners?

Scared of doing things wrong

Hiiii,

Im a 20 y.o. Girl. This year since January I have decided to focus more on actually growing muscle rather than just going to the gym without any plan, sweating a bit and leaving. Used to do that three times a week. I have switched my workout routine a bit, I go 4 times a week now (Mon., Tues., Thurs., Frid.) and only for intense weight workouts and have stopped doing cardio immediately after or before weights.

At home I have a walking pad which is great, because for my profession I spent a lot of my time on a computer and I can just put it on a slow speed and walk for hours while working, getting my steps in. I get at around 10 kilometres daily (sometimes more, sometimes slightly less but usually this amount) Today I got to 18km overall with a morning run of 5k.

I have fixed my relationship with food (i use to binge eat a lot) sometimes I gaslight myself that I eat too little, i want to keep my maintenance calories right now and Im pretty sure Im doing that.

But the thing is, which is why im writing here, my last period was very irregular, like very very irregular when I have always had very normal, planned, 5 days. This time it was a couple of irregular days and thats it, with a very very light flow. Im scared I overworked myself or did something that might cause me harm in the long run. Is this something i should definitely be worried or maybe it was a one time thing?

Leg press

Is a leg press a bad exercise as a main thing for legs? My gym has only two batbell racks that are always occupied so I dont do any squats or similar exercises and mostly workout the legs through leg presses. Should I do different exercises?

Advice on my journey rn

Hiii, I have written here many times now, i wanted to ask if Im going in the right direction and if I will see good progress the way Im doing things now.

Moving and workouts:

I get at around 10 kilometres daily (sometimes more, sometimes slightly less but usually this amount)

Diet:
I used to have a very bad relationship with food, often binge eating, then hating myself in this cycle of always failing to keep to a specific diet. It doesn’t help when there’s lots of food, sweets in the house for other family members, cause I used to have a very weak will. This year I started thinking more about what I eat, after a little bit I stopped binge eating sugary foods, now I try to eat them in moderation. I definitely see how unhealthy i ate back then.
A lot of this had to do with the fact that i started calculating calories in my head from processed meals and what not and the guilt is still there if I were to eat it. So that has been a big change this year, I definitely eat way less processed foods and start thinking of healthy protein and upping my fiber.

Am I on the right track?:
Ever since these changes I have noticed I put on more muscle mass (mom is not a fan ._.) and I do weigh more than when i started by about 1-2 kg. If I keep at it, will I see more changes happening to my body? I am 168 cm and weigh 64 kg now. I dont want to get skinny, i want more muscles and I want to be strong.
I have been tiptoeing the topic of calorie counting because I feel like it will really hit my mental health to start it and I live with someone healing from severe anorexia and don’t want to harm them too. Is it possible to try to achieve my goals without counting calories?
Every app and website tells me different tdee and different calorie zones I should be in and I have no clue who to trust anymore to not get into a toxic state of hating myself if I eat too much and harming myself if I eat too little.

Wow big of a rant here.. thank you in advance for any tips!🌸

Lots of walking on workout and rest days

Hiii,

This year since January I have decided to focus more on actually growing muscle rather than just going to the gym without any plan, sweating a bit and leaving. Used to do that three times a week. I have switched my workout routine a bit, I go 4 times a week now (Mon., Tues., Thurs., Frid.) and only for intense weight workouts and have stopped doing cardio immediately after or before weights.

I wanted to ask is it okay for growing muscle that I walk a lot on all days of the week? I mean I sometimes walk around 15 km. (6 km/hour speed is the maximum on the walking pad). Will it harm my recovery?

Thanks in advance!! <3

I trust my dermatologist but just wanted to hear other people’s experience, has anyone had Duac perscribed to them for deep pimples while on accutane? I just went into a follow up appointment with my dermatologist and she perscribed it for me when i said I usually get those deep bump pimples and told me to apply it on that spot.

Thanks in advance!!

Hii, probably a dumb question but on the Stansted airport’s website it states that i can carry liquids under 100ml and not take them out to present anymore. Does this mean i can take many liquids under 100ml? Or does the one bag rule still apply? I cant find info on that anywhere. Thanks in advance!!
