Nintendo handled releasing Mario Kart World for $80 better than Rockstar and Take-Two did GTA VI

Before I get accused of being a Nintendo shill or fanboy, I got Mario Kart World through the Switch 2 bundle last year and have put around 110 hours into it, but it is still not a game I would've paid $80 for. That price point also stemmed from pure greed and the overconfidence Nintendo developed during the Switch 1 era.

Given what we know about GTA VI and based on previous installments, I think the game definitely justifies the $80 price tag more than Mario Kart World does. However, given the context of how Rockstar is releasing GTA VI, this isn't a game I would pay $80 for, let alone the $100 Rockstar and Take-Two ACTUALLY want you to spend on this game. I also just want to point out the hypocrisy of people flaming Mario Kart for being $80 but going out and defending not only the $80 base game of GTA, but the $100 day one ultimate edition as well.

Valve should've fully committed to making the Steam Machine a console and sold it at a loss.

So this was a question I've been asking myself since it was revealed that the Steam Machine would be a PC and not a console: why wouldn't Valve just fully commit to making the thing a console instead of a PC trying to be one? And this thought came back to the forefront of my mind when they revealed how much it costs.

So basically, my line of thinking is that if Valve could have implemented a modified version of SteamOS that's a "walled-garden ecosystem" 100% optimized for big picture game mode and completely scrapping desktop mode, similar to how Microsoft uses a modified iteration of Windows on Xbox, could the Steam Machine be sold at a loss for much cheaper?

The issue is that the Steam Machine doesn't really have an audience.

- Is it meant to attract console players? They're gonna take one look at the price tag and stick to their PS5, Xbox, or Switch.

- Is it meant to appeal to families? The cheapest model is over a band without a controller (which is more money and more Steam Controllers are gonna be $99 at least). There's also the fact that, at least in the U.S., Valve lacks any presence in major retailers (Walmart, Costco, Target, etc.) so there's going to be a lack of visibility there.

- Is it for people already entrenched in the PC gaming environment? Probably not, they most likely already have gaming rigs or laptops that are more powerful than the Steam Machine, and connecting a PC or Laptop to a TV is pretty easy with a long HDMI cord and/or Sunshine Moonlight or the Steam Link.

- Is it meant to be an entry-level PC? Because you can get or build a much better one without hurting your wallet as much.

The best thing Valve could've done is make this thing a console and sell it at a loss to compete directly with the big three, and make up for that loss by selling games on Steam. Valve already takes a 30% cut of each game sold, and getting more people to invest in their ecosystem would be a good thing. There's also the fact that they could probably get away without charging for online services, and that could push Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo to abandon those models as well. This thing could've shaken up the console market, but instead, Valve's decision to sell it as an open-ecosystem PC raised its price and killed the thing before it could even hit the market.

[Education] Non-Stats/Math major, how would my application to grad school look if I take two math courses as Pass/No-Credit?

So I'm currently a biology major at a large state university, going into my final year. Until recently, I was pre-med, but some things changed in my life, and I'd go in a different direction for my career. I was interested in pursuing a Master of Applied Statistics or a Master of Mathematical Statistics with the goal of going into the biostatistics field while having the opportunity to pivot out if needed.

I saw that a lot of the M.S. programs in my area require the basics (Calc I and II, Stats), which I have in addition to Linear Algebra and Multivariable Calculus. Going into my fourth year, I have the option to take one class per semester as pass/no-credit so long as it isn't a core class or a major/minor requirement. I was thinking of taking Linear Algebra in the fall and Multivariable Calculus in the spring as p/nc so that I can learn the material and have those prerequisites, but don't have to worry about the classes affecting my GPA if I don't do well (C or C+). However, some other threads I've been browsing on my University's subreddit say that grad school admissions don't like to see that you took p/nc classes in general, and these are prerequisites for the programs I'm interested in. So I was wondering if it would make a difference if I took these classes p/nc or if I should take them and get a letter grade for grad school admissions.

Math has always been my "weaker" area since I was in primary school, at least compared to reading and writing. But I did well in Precalc, Calc I, II, and Stats for Research, although it's been at least two years since I took those classes, and I have experience with analyzing large datasets through some research experience I have, so what should I do?

Could we see a Pokopia "Complete Edition" physical release in the future?

So yesterday it was revealed that Pokémon Pokopia would be getting an expansion in pass in three waves starting in August through next year. Given the first part of the expansion that was shown and it's price at $34.99 USD it seems to be a pretty hefty expansion like previous DLC expansions for mainline Pokémon games (except Legends Z-A's).

I'm sure everyone here is aware of the controversy of Pokopia being released on a Game Key Card, even though it's a (partially) Nintendo-owned IP and only needs 10.0 GB, but that got me thinking...What if there are plans to release a "complete edition" for Pokopia next year after the expansions are done releasing and the game is done getting regular content updates, all of which is fully on cart?

There is precedent as reprints of Sword/Shield and Scarlet/Violet were released with their expansion passes on the cart after they released, so maybe the same will happen with Pokopia and this time it'll be a fully on-cart release? The only downside is it'll definitely be $105 and never drop in price but at least everything's physical.

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave will be $80 physical/$70 digital

Ok I kinda get Mario Kart being $80 but Fire Emblem being $80 is absolutely insane. Even the best selling Fire Emblem game, Three Houses, didn't break 5 million copies sold so why the hell would $80 physical be a good idea. Nintendo clearly stated that digital games would be cheaper than physical, so this means that Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave was always intended to be $80. You can only get it for cheaper if you pre-order at a major retailer like Walmart or Amazon (RIP small game stores).

Fully expect the Ocarina of Time remake, Pokemon Winds and Waves, next 3D Zelda, 3D Mario, and Animal Crossing to be $80 physical if they're willing to pull this shit with Fire Emblem.

155 Fighter Smash Bros. Roster Concept

So this is a 155-fighter Super Smash Bros. concept roster, with 150 roster spots due to multiple characters taking up one spot like in Ultimate.

From Ultimate, there are 81 returning veterans and about 8 cuts: Sheik, Dr. Mario, Pichu, Dark Pit, Zero Suit Samus, Wii Fit Trainer, Richter, and Piranha Plant. For Dr. Mario, Dark Pit, and Richter, I think they can be incorporated into alts for Mario, Pit, and Simon so they're not completely gone from the roster. Zero Suit can appear in Samus' final Smash again, but not as a playable fighter, and Wii Fit Trainer has been replaced by the Ring Fit Adventurer. Wii Fit is also the only series to be completely cut from the roster as it's replaced by Ring Fit Adventure.

The 62 present series ranked in terms of representation:

  1. Pokémon (17 reps, 15 if you count Pokémon Trainer as a single fighter)

  2. The Legend of Zelda (12 reps, 10 if you count Young Link as a single fighter)

  3. Fire Emblem (10 reps)

  4. Super Mario (9 reps, 11 if you count Yoshi and Wario, and 15 if you count the DK cast)

  5. Xenoblade Chronicles (7 reps, 6 if you count Pyra & Mythra as a single fighter)

  6. Star Fox (6 reps)

  7. Kirby and Metroid (5 reps each)

  8. Animal Crossing and Donkey Kong (4 reps each)

  9. Splatoon, ARMS, Sonic the Hedgehog, Street Fighter, Final Fantasy VII (3 reps each)

  10. Pikmin, Kid Icarus, F-Zero, Mother/Earthbound, Mega Man, Devil May Cry, Fatal Fury/King of Fighters, Tekken/Soulcalibur (If you count Yoshimitsu as a Tekken character instead of a Soulcalibur one), Persona, Metal Gear, Castlevania, Rayman, Hollow Knight, Hades, Undertale/Deltarune (2 reps each)

  11. Famicom Detective Club, Nintendo Switch Sports, Ring Fit Adventure, Punch-Out!!, Ice Climber, Duck Hunt, R.O.B., Game & Watch, Dragalia Lost, Astral Chain, Bayonetta, Super Monkey Ball, Pac-Man, Klonoa, Super Bomberman, Banjo-Kazooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Minecraft, Fallout, DOOM, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, No More Heroes, Shantae, Cuphead, Shovel Knight, Dragon Quest, Kingdom Hearts, and the Wii Series (1 rep each)

I put a hard cap on three fighters at most from a third-party franchise. This isn't supposed to be a roster prediction or anything, just decided to make a really bloated roster for fun, so I'd love to know what you guys think.

[Rant] Anyone else have "Resident Evil Fatigue"?

So let me preface this by saying I am a Resident Evil fan, I got into the series when 2 got remade back in 2019 and have played almost every release since, but at this point I'm honestly getting exhausted with how much attention and love this franchise gets from Capcom year after year through new games and remakes compared to how neglected Capcom's other so-called "core IP" franchises like Devil May Cry, Ace Attorney, and Mega Man (until the new game was announced) are.

Like, I get it to an extent, RE is by far their most popular franchise, having 201M total sales, while second place, Monster Hunter, is at 127M, and third, fourth, and fifth place, Street Fighter, Mega Man, and DMC are under 60M each. It would be like getting annoyed at Nintendo for always announcing new Mario and Pokémon games or Sega for announcing new Sonic games. But I think the difference is that, for a time, RE was basically a yearly franchise, as I'm pretty sure (aside from 2018) we got a new RE game every year between 2015 and 2024, and even though they took a break the past two years it looks like they're getting back on track with Requiem this year and now the Code Veronica remake slated for next year.

I think another issue I have is that there are so many damn remakes, like I personally think of the three games they've remade so far (RE2, RE3, RE4), none of the remakes are better than the originals, and I've played the remakes before the originals, and now there's yet ANOTHER remake on the horizon.

Idk, maybe I'm just salty because DMC is one of my favorite franchises, and instead of getting a DMC6 or RE Engine remake of the first game that was rumored, RE fans get another remake while DMC fans are stuck with a shitty Netflix anime.

[Education] [Career] Pursuing a Master's and/or PhD in applied statistics with a biology/public health undergrad background.

Hey all, so as the title suggests, I am currently going into my fourth and final year of university, majoring in biology and minoring in public health. Initially, my goal was to go to medical school and become an emergency medicine physician due to my work as a volunteer EMT. However, my GPA and stats aren't good, and I'm already feeling burnt out from school, and I'm worried that if I get burnt out in med school or residency, there's no going back from that, assuming I even get in.

I've been trying to explore other options to find something I might enjoy that pays decently well, and I came across the field of biostats. I read a bit into it and thought it might be a good fit given my biology and public health background; however, my cousin, who works as a headhunter/recruiter for CMC, clinical research, pharma, etc., said that an advanced degree in statistics would be more useful to break into this field, rather than an advanced degree in biostatistics specifically.

As for my math/CS background, I have the following:

  • Taken Calculus I (B+) and Calculus II (A) at community college, and a "statistics for research" class (B) I took last year. Although my parents keep telling me that math is my weakness, I shouldn't bother pursuing a career in it.
  • Limited proficiency in Java and Python without any major projects, although I'm going to use this Summer to learn R, Python, and SQL on Codecademy and get the certifications.
  • Experience automating the curation of datasets and manually analyzing/verifying them in a research lab.

If I want to pursue an M.S. or PhD in applied statistics, what should I do? I don't want to pigeonhole myself too much, so I can pivot in case biostats doesn't work out for me.

If anyone else came from a different undergrad background before pursuing stats as a career, I'd love to hear your insight and experience. Any help/advice would also be greatly appreciated!

Where do I go from here? (Chance Me)

So, since becoming a volunteer EMT in high school, my goal was to become an emergency medicine physician because I really enjoyed my EMT work, and it's one of the things I've stayed consistent with over the past few years. However, some recent events in my life have me reconsidering whether I'm cut out to even get into med school, if I should bother taking the MCAT and applying or if I should change course before its too late.

My Stats:

- I am entering my fourth and final year at a large state school and I am majoring in biology and minoring in public health.

- My current cGPA is 3.15 while my sGPA is 2.6, there is a bit of a downward trend as my first two years were much stronger than my third.

- The grades I got in the prereq classes are as follows:

  • General Biology I (B+), General Biology II (B+), General Biology Lab (B)
  • General Chemistry I (B+), General Chemistry II (C), General Chemistry Lab (A)
  • General Physics I (C), General Physics II (W, D, C I took it 3 times), General Physics Lab (A)
  • Organic Chemistry I (C), Organic Chemistry II (W, W, and I'm currently retaking it a third time over the Summer)
  • Calculus I (B+ took at Community College), Calculus II (A also took at Community College), Statistics (B)
  • College Writing (AP Credit), Scientific & Technical Writing (B+)
  • General Psychology (A took at Community College)
  • I am scheduled to take Biochemistry in the fall.

- I have around 1,325 volunteer hours as an EMT since 2021, and I am about to start working as a per diem EMT for one of the hospital systems in my state.

- I was an event coordinator for an EM-focused club on campus last year, and I'm the vice president for a different medical screening student organization this upcoming year.

- I work for an EM-focused nonprofit, unpaid.

- I have around 500 hours of research across four semesters, but no publication or poster presentation, and I left the lab after having some issues with my P.I.

Given my stats, I am unsure if it will be worth it for me to pursue medicine, and I'm already feeling burnt out from school, so I'm extremely worried I will get burnt out in medical school and/or residency, and once that happens, there's no going back. The only thing giving me hope is the fact that I enjoy and work pretty well as an EMT, and my sister, who just graduated from med school, is telling me that organic chemistry and physics barely come back after the MCAT.

My current plan was to take one or two gap years, focus on the MCAT and continue getting clinical hours as an EMT while finding a new lab to do research in and hopefully get a publication out of, then apply to an SMP or post-bacc with linkage to improve my chances. But I would like to know if this is feasible or if I should just give up.

I'm open to MD or DO or anything, I just don't want to have to go to the Caribbean or anywhere out of the states for med school. Any help/advice would be appreciated!

120 Fighter Smash 6 Roster Wishlist/Pseudo-Prediction

So I'm trying to come up with a roster of fighters, stages, bosses, etc. for a potential Smash 6 that I'm dubbing "Super Smash Bros. Legacy." Here is the first part, the fighters:

There are about 81 veterans and 39 newcomers on the roster (including multiple fighters/echoes) in about 100 slots.

Since there are more returning veterans than not, I'll explain some cuts/choices I made:

  1. Piranha Plant: Fun joke character, but honestly, I don't want to see it return again.

  2. Sheik: Irrelevant, plus there's a better replacement.

  3. Young Link: The only way I'd bring him back is if the Deku, Zora, and Goron transformations from Majora's Mask can be incorporated into his moveset; other than that, Toon Link is just better.

  4. Zero Suit Samus: There aren't multiple Samuses, and I'd rather just keep one on the roster, maybe bringing back the Final Smash transformation from Brawl if there really is demand for her.

  5. Roy: Roy isn't as popular as Marth, Lucina, or even his own echo Chrom anymore, and honestly, the roster doesn't need four Marths.

  6. Cornball: I hate this character.

  7. Wii Fit Trainer: Basically replaced by the Ring-Fit Trainee.

  8. Mythra: I'm pretty sure the original intention for Xenoblade 2 in Smash Ultimate was for Pyra and Rex to be a tag team duo, but the Switch 1 couldn't handle it, so they made Pyra and Mythra a transformation character. I do not like either of these characters, but I think the original idea is pretty good, and the power of the Switch 2 should make it possible without exploding the game. I also like Pyra slightly more than Mythra.

Now that I've explained who I cut, I'll explain who I added and why:

  1. Toad/Toadette: Pretty much the last major Mario character who has yet to get their own fighter slot in Smash (no, I did not forget about Waluigi), a moveset inspired by Super Mario Bros 2, 3D World, and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker would probably work best. I also threw in Toadette as an echo because it just makes sense + she's getting more and more popular.

  2. Dixie Kong: I think the tag-team concept would've worked well with Diddy, but honestly, I think if Diddy can stand on his own as a fighter, so can Dixie as an echo if not a pseudo clone, because of the rocket barrel stuff.

  3. The Knight Construct (Clink): He is canonically an Echo Fighter of Link, plus he looks cool for a clanker.

  4. Princess Hilda: She represents the 2D Zelda games more because the existing roster is very 3D heavy and can use darker magic compared to the light magic Zelda uses.

  5. Skull Kid: I want all the major 3D Zelda games/eras to be represented, and Skull Kid represents the N64 era with Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, but more so the latter.

  6. Wolf Link & Midna: I really want Midna in Smash, but I don't know how her true form would work, so I think it would be better to have her paired up with Wolf Link. I know this means there will be three Links on the roster, but they all play differently and I think this represents the Zelda series well as a generational series represent the different games/eras. They represent Twilight Princess.

  7. Impa: Sheik's aforementioned replacement. She represents Skyward Sword.

  8. Rauru: Basically, the only character from the Wild Era who I think makes the most sense in Smash (maybe also Master Kohga).

  9. Octoling: I think it would be cool if the Inkling switches to being a bow user as they are in Splatoon 3; however, I think the ink guns can still be represented through the Octolings. NOT AN ECHO.

  10. Rookie & Oatchi: Oatchi was the standout from Pikmin 4 gameplay-wise, and I think as the 5th main pillar of Nintendo, Pikmin deserves a second rep.

  11. Twintelle: Contrary to most, I don't believe ARMS was an abject failure or dead (the IP is still pretty new, and the team likely moved on to Mario Kart World/the Booster Course Pass immediately after ARMS), and a second rep being Twintelle, probably the second or third most popular character who fights differently from Min Min, would be cool.

  12. Ring-Fit Trainee: Ring-Fit Adventure was a massive success and the game offers interesting potential for a moveset as a replacement for the Wii Fit Trainer.

  13. Sportsmates: Like Ring-Fit Adventure, Switch Sports was a massive success despite its general reception. A moveset based on all the sports featured in the game would be cool.

  14. Sylux: The villain of the new (potential) Metroid Prime Trilogy who could stand side-by-side with Ridley and Dark Samus in Smash with a moveset based on his boss fight in Prime 4.

  15. Krystal: Honestly, all the Star Fox characters play very similarly to one another, so having one that's a staff/magic user would be refreshing. Plus Adventures is underrated and Krystal was almost in Brawl but cut in favor of Wolf for time.

  16. Black Shadow: I think it's a near-unanimous consensus that Ganondorf needs to get a serious moveset overhaul in the next game, and I think his moveset should come from his boss fight in Tears of the Kingdom, along with his design. However, to maintain Ganondorf's old moveset in Smash, I think Black Shadow should be an Echo Fighter of Captain Falcon.

  17. Rex: As I mentioned earlier, Sakurai (and I) wanted him in Smash but couldn't get him working with Pyra on the Switch 1. I think that concept should be brought back as it should be possible with the power of the Switch 2.

  18. Noah & Mio: The protagonists of Xenoblade 3 who should be in the next Smash so all 3 main Xenoblade Chronicles games are represented with fighters.

  19. Elma: I like Xenoblade X Nintendo seems to be pushing it with the Switch port and terrible Switch 2 upgrade, so Elma should be on the roster.

  20. Akira: Now that Nintendo 100% owns the Astral Chain IP, I'd be shocked if Akira wasn't in the next Smash games especially with how much of an unexpected success it was.

  21. Bandana Waddle Dee: The only missing member of the Kirby Quartet in Smash, given that Sakurai hating him has basically been deconfirmed thanks to Air Riders, I'm 100% convinced he'll be on the next roster. Plus spear users are awesome.

  22. Cai: Don't know anything about him other than he's the protagonist of Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave and that he uses a lance, but I'd already take him over Cornball.

  23. Browt's Evolution: Given that Browt seems to be the fan favorite of the Winds/Waves starter I feel like whatever it's evolution is has the most potential to be in Smash. It would also be nice to have a bird Pokemon in Smash and a third solo-fighter fully-evolved Grass Type Starter Pokemon.

  24. Ditto Kid: Seeing as how Pokopia was another unexpected hit, the Ditto Kid featured in the game would be cool as a fighter given how it can use different partial transformations to represent Pokemon that would otherwise not be in the game, like Graveler, Dragonite, Lapras, etc.

  25. Jeanne: Echo of Bayo, not much else to say.

  26. Metal Sonic: Personally, I think Shadow being an Echo Fighter of Sonic would be an extreme injustice to the character, so I'd rather him get his own roster slot while Metal Sonic becomes Sonic's echo.

27/28. Tails and Knuckles: I think both of them should be in Smash together alongside Sonic so that Team Sonic can be complete on the roster. I considered Eggman, Amy, and Shadow, but I just really like Team Sonic, and I think the movies help my case.

  1. Zero: I think Mega Man needs another rep, but instead of Proto Man like what happened in Sonic Crossworlds, Zero would be better to represent the Mega Man X style games.

  2. Chun-Li: In almost every crossover game Ryu appears as a guest in, Chun-Li's right there alongside him. She's the most iconic woman in fighting games, and one of the most iconic women in gaming altogether. Her, Ken, and Ryu are like the Wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman of fighting games, so I think her inclusion in Smash has been a long time coming.

31/32. Dante and Vergil: This is 100% a personal pick as DMC is one of my favorite game series of all time, and I want to see both Dante and Vergil in the next Smash, hell maybe even Nero as DLC or somewhere down the line.

  1. Yoshimitsu: I picked Yoshimitsu for the fact that he's a unique character who can represent two series (Tekken and Soulcalibur) at once. Plus I've been playing a lot of Soulcalibur II on Gamecube NSO, and aside from Link Yoshimitsu is one of my mains.

  2. Big Boss: Makes sense as an Echo Fighter for Snake, plus at this point is pretty iconic thanks to the Invisible memes and the recent MGS 3 Delta remake.

  3. Raiden: Is just as much of a protagonist of Metal Gear Solid as Snake is imo, especially given you play as him for most of MGS2 and he's the protagonist of MGRR. I think having a moveset and costumes based on both games would be ideal for him.

  4. Alucard: Was almost in Smash, but I think Konami thought it would be better to have the Belmonts be the first Castlevania fighters in Smash (good call). Well now that the Belmonts have been introduced, I think it's about time Alucard gets promoted from Assist Trophy to fully-fledged fighter, especially because he's one of the protagonists of the Netflix anime.

  5. Crash Bandicoot: My most wanted third party newcomer, how crazy would it be to have Mario, Sonic, and Crash duking it out in Smash?

  6. Rayman: Given Nintendo's relationship with Rayman I think he's a good fit for a newcomer in the next Smash game, especially because he was in the last Mario + Rabbids game.

  7. Sans: I'm 100% convinced that the first indie fighter in Smash is going to be from either Undertale or Deltarune given that Sans already has a Mii costume in Smash and Toby Fox has been composing tracks for Pokemon games since Sword and Shield. Since Sans is the most iconic Undertale character (maybe Asgore might be giving him a run for his money) I think he's the one to represent the series in Smash.

I also demoted Dr. Mario and Pichu to be Echoes of Mario and Pikachu respectively (why they weren't is beyond me), made Chrom an Echo Fighter of Ike instead of Roy seeing as he was booted off the roster, and promoted Ken from Echo Fighter to full fighter because I think at this point Ken has really stepped out Ryu's shadow in the Street Fighter series and is unique enough to warrant his own fighter slot.

The Miis also take up one slot but all three archetypes (Brawler, Swordfighter, and Gunner) will be options to select from when you make Mii Fighters along with a "Mii Mage" archetype that's a magic user similar to characters like Zelda.

Please let me know what you guys think!

How do I get into this field?

So I am at a bit of a crossroads in my life right now. I'm going into my fourth year of university, majoring in Biology and minoring in Public Health. I was on the pre-med track as I wanted to be an ER Physician, but some recent developments/realizations about myself and my life have me reconsidering if I want to go into medicine.

I've been looking for alternate career paths I can pursue with my B.S. in biology, and recently found an ad for Cornell Weill's M.S. in Biostatistics on Instagram, which got me thinking about the field. However, there's barely anything I know about the field, how to get into it, what the best course of action is for grad school, and what careers/pay I can look to in the future.

If all goes well, I'll be done with my biology coursework by the end of the Fall 2026 Semester. I'm registered to take an Epidemiology course in the Fall, and I want to take the introductory Data Science course in the Spring 2027 Semester. If I go down this path, my plan after I graduate is to take a gap year and work somewhere while taking classes like Linear Algebra and Multivariable Calculus at community college, as I saw these two pop up as common prerequisites. I'm also currently looking at the Biostatistics M.S. programs offered by Cornell, Columbia, NYU, and Rutgers, as I live in the North Jersey/NYC area. Any help navigating this path would be appreciated!

Here's what I have so far:

  • Cumulative GPA is currently 3.15.
  • I've taken Calculus I (B+) and Calculus II (A) at community college, and a "Statistics for Research" (B) class at my home institution. But, I have taken General Physics I (C) and General Physics II (W, D, and C) at my home institution, having taken the latter three times.
  • I'm fairly competent in Java and Python, and I want to teach myself R and SQL over the Summer.
  • I have a year of experience automating dataset curation and analysis when I was doing research, but I left the lab due to some issues I had with my P.I.

I would also like to know what the situation is with AI in the field and the oversaturation of the job market. I ran this idea by my father, and he said it wasn't worth it because all the quant analysts on Wall Street are gonna pivot to this field when they get laid off in the future, thanks to AI, and I can't compete with them because of my biology background.

100-Fighter Smash 6 Roster [Revised]

So I posted a pic of a roster concept I made earlier today and it got some flack for too many cuts/third party fighters so I decided to revise it a bit and focus on fixing/expanding representation for the Nintendo series in Smash, because even though Smash is a celebration of gaming, it's still a Nintendo game at the end of the day. Please let me know what you guys think!

100-fighter Roster for Smash 6

Got super caffeinated at 2 AM and couldn't sleep so I put this roster concept together in Canva. I tried to keep most of the major series featured in Ultimate's base roster + some more.

There were some cuts though so sorry if your main(s) got the boot :(
