Need help with my procrastination issues

Hey all,

I'm now in my third year. 1 more to finish this. I don't have a paper published, or any ideas for my next work. I've been working on this simple project for more than a year now and I finally got some results in March/April. Since then I've been trying to write a paper. But I have zero motivation to do anything.

My bf is also a PhD student. He works with a schedule, very organized. He tries his best to push me for the same, drags me to work with him, makes me go to sleep on time.. But I cannot do anything. I don't sleep on time, I am always scrolling something, I don't eat. Previously I thought it could be stress or smth, related to my personal stuffs, but now that things are sorted, I still can't get myself to work. Even if I push myself to work, its just a short burst of energy. I know I am capable of more. But I don't know. My supervisors are very hands off. They have lost hopes in me, coz both of them don't work in my area and they can't help me much. I'm so lost. I don't think I can finish a PhD and get a job. I can't believe I left my job to pursue this and also thought I can do this within 3 years.

Without firm deadlines and supervision, I don't think I can work. And I don't really care about things anymore.

Even writing one para a day would be so great. Somebody help me.

Moved to a new place

I moved to a new place and this is the first dinner I made. Scrambled eggs, bread toast with Nutella and chocos with milk.

I wish somebody remembers it's my birthday tomorrow, without me having to remind them. :)

What is your birthday ritual?

Is it just any other day for you? Or do you do something special? Growing up, how was it? And what do you do now?

Guys, gimme simple recipes to cook.

So, I'm gonna list stuffs from my pantry. Please tell me what to cook. If possible, tell me how too.

  1. Protein: Eggs, milk, soya chunks.

  2. Rice, pasta (big shell), vermicelli (Anil biriyani semiya?), bread.

  3. Maggi

  4. Onion, tomato, carrot, potato.

  5. Apples, oranges.

  6. Masalas: Salt, chilli powder, chilli flakes, garlic granules, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, coriander-cumin powder, pepper powder, garam masala, pasta sauce.

25F. A hair strand is struck inside a healing wound.

Hi. I had a partial nail removal surgery a month back coz of ingrown toe nail and now I'm overseas (in Australia). I left the wound open for couple days and it looked like it was healing. But now I noticed a hair strand stuck inside the healing nail bed. I tried gently removing it, but it ain't coming out. I'm scared as hell. But also I'm broke in a new country.

There is no redness, except for the healing tissue part. There is no swelling. Fluid leakage is clear/yellowish. It's not stinky or green.

Should I visit a GP urgently? Or can it wait for couple days?

What is the rent scene really like around Monash?

I'm looking for a private room with ensuite/private bath_room, aircon and female only. The real estate agents say around 350 pw, my seniors say 270 pw. Can I find a place or no? I'm looking more around Koonawarra street, Stockdale ave, Glenbrook ave, Florence ave, Marshall ave and those around. Ideally less than 15 mins by walk.

Life is so hard.

Food place suggestions for date night

I'd like to take my bf out on a date.. which could be our last as well. So, I want some place which got good ambience as well as good food. We aren't into aesthetic vibes.. so that doesn't matter much. Non veg food, drinks and some peace. Budget is 1.5k pp.

Somebody asked here earlier about EE cat vaccinated or not? Is it not?

Yo man? Are you alive? Did you get vaccinated? 😭

Need a place around Mumbai within 3-4 hours of commute to chill/relax, doing nothing. I just want to wind down, watch some series/movie, eat good food. I do not want to go actively do sight seeing, but a place with a good view is appreciated, could be anything from trees, lake to high rise buildings with lights. Budget is 3k max. I just want to go away for a day or two max. Airbnb, hotels, hostels anything works. Should be safe for female to stay alone.
