I chose the one from BL2 but you get the idea, no theme is more emblematic and representative of Borderlands as a game series. If a blind person asked you to describe Borderlands, you could just put this on and he'd probably get 80% of the explanation.

It has such a gritty, desolated atmosphere, truly makes you feel like you're a prey in a very very dangerous area, full of people completely devoid of any humanity and you somehow gotta make it out alive. I LOVE it.

It is so nostalgic too, when the first game came out I was fucking 11 years old and I remember falling in love instantly., partly because of the music.

I wish the next Borderlands game will go back to this specific atmosphere, I understand the choice to change the setting a little after x amount of games, but man, I wish it stayed western sci-fi and not just sci-fi, and I hope it makes a great comeback for BL5 (or any upcoming game from the series).

I actually feel like doing another run of BL1 or BL2 just listening to this... Jesper Kyd truly is the John Williams of videogames soundtrack.

Potential gastroenteretis epidemic in Switzerland ?

Me and a whole lot of friends (5-6) had the same exact same night yesterday, fever, going to the toilet to vomit/diahrrea, and a friends of us told us that his girlfriend had the same even though he and his girlfriend weren't with us these last days.

I'm wondering if there's a gastroenteretis epidemic ? Anyone else had such an experience yesterday/today ?

One of my colleagues speaks too much and it's ruining my job, how can I tell him ?

I'm basically in a moving company, so I go to people house to take their furniture and bring it back to the depot, or deliver it.

A guy that arrived basically at the same time as me just speaks too much, and obviously since we arrived at the same time he considers me his best bud.

That guy speaks non-stop, and about the most self-centered shit, I already told him that cars or spirituality weren't things I'm interested for, but he doesn't stop, and he's a very embarassing guy to top it off, like the guy had 3000 opportunities to become secret agent, be a rockstar or work for the Nasa (but he's in a moving company with low salary now), had 15 wives across the globe (but now is single and no kids obviously), and makes cringe/dated jokes all the time.

I can't stand him, and he's genuinely the reason I hate coming to work now, I'm not kidding, he single-handedly ruins it all.

Should I say/do something about it ? How could I tell him without coming too rude ?

Can you still find these in Switzerland ?

They were so fucking good, my favourite by far, but it seems now that they don't exist anymore, have you found these anywhere ? By the way I also learned that they're gonna close the factory in Rorschach and the Plätzli are gonna be made in Spain and Italy from 2027 onwards, they probably won't taste the same.

But still, where the FUCK are the Lorraine Plätzli ?

A good single-player FPS on PS5 released recently ?

It seems that single-player FPS are not really trendy these days but man I need to scratch that itch and play a solid single-player FPS with good progression, I've already played the Borderlands games, Cyberpunk, the Doom games.

I was thinking on maybe Metro Exodus ?

But is there any new FPS game that came out recently and is good on PS5 ?

Anyone has ever seen a Thommen Factory ? It's hell on earth

Yesterday at work, me and a colleague had to bring a container at the Thommen factory in Givisiez, what the FUCK is this ?

This was nightmare fuel, straigth up, iron and steel everywhere, everything is super fucking dirty, misplaced, mangling around, the SOUND man, we stayed there 5 mins, I geniunely think this has impacted my earring abilities. It's so fucking chaotic, dirty, noisy, they use some giant hammer-machines to destroy the steel inside of a train wagon, you could put some heavy metal music on that and it would feel natural.

The workers also seemed completely broken inside, they had the exact appearance you would expect, fat, face completely dirty, hands that could kill you in 3 seconds, 0 spark in their eyes.

I'm geniunely traumatized by what I've seen, I hope these guys get paid well cause HOLY SHIT that seemed tough.

Annoying new coworker just arrived, should I talk to him ?

A new co-worker just started in my moving company, and he is incredibly cringe and annoying. Right off the bat he makes some stupid fucking jokes that are not funny, outdated, out of context, and he says that shit in front of the whole team, I swear to god the silence that comes after said jokes is an experience like no others.

But that could be ok, a little cringe doesn't hurt anyone, the real problem is that he NEVER. STOP. TALKING.

He talks about his bike, he talks about his spirituality and how he perceives the world (which is batshit crazy), he talks about his trip to Colombia and... that's it. Non-stop. Sometimes starts the conversation at 9am, and then when I cross his path again at 3pm he keeps going like the conversation never ended, as if I had nothing better to do.

The problem is I sometimes spend the whole day with him, and I can't take it, I simply cannot. I've tried to just say nothing and be the most boring human being you've ever met, sometimes I even send a big signal by simply not answering to what he says, but he just ignores it, he thinks since I don't talk to him he has to be super interesting and I'm in awe listening to him. Brother I don't give a shit that you bought your bike in 2019 and that women represent the earth therefore we must seek for the divine in the sky but stay grounded, shut the fuck up.

Oh and I forgot to mention that I'm his favourite colleague, whatever I do, wherever I go, he's always gonna check and if there's the slightest thing he can do to help, he will, and will talk while doing it.

I am an EXTREMELY honest person, I always tell how I feel about someone or something right off the bat, no filters, and it always did wonders, but work is a different environment. There's a high risk that even if said politely, the coworker is gonna feel like I'm a douchebag and then I'm gonna have to see him 40 hours a week knowing that he feels that way. At the same time I can't take it anymore, I'm terrified when I arrive to work to see him next to me on the planning of the day (everyone is).

So I'm lost, I don't wanna go to my superiors to tell them "Hey, this guy is cringe and I can't take it anymore", and I don't know how to tell him how I feel, I feel like it's gonna be way too abrupt, for my standards it's ok but I don't know about him. Cause quite frankly I don't wanna tell him to reduce the talking, I want him to not talk. I wanna listen to silence, or the radio. And I want him to leave me the fuck alone when we're not actively working together. How can you say that without being an asshole ?

Do english-speaking actors speak naturally in movies/shows ?

I speak french (but from Switzerland though) and one of the reason I hate french cinema is that actors speak in such an unnatural way that's I think it's embarassing, it's like they're taking themselves way too seriously when really I wanna hear something that comes off as a conversation I could hear on the table next to me, at least on a movie exposing casual situations.

I know there are exceptions no matter what, but in general, would you consider dialogues in a british/american movie/show to come off as natural, or is it also done in a weird, "by the book" accent/linguo that you would never hear an actual person sound like ?

I can't fully realize the situation since I'm not a native, I do speak english very well but still, I'm not a native so I don't think I can grasp the whole thing.

Can we all agree that Miami is the best map in the trilogy ?

I mean it's not even close, what the fuck even is this, let's just see how many different areas there is :

-Starting location, crowded entry of the race
-Staff area with trucks
-Food stands in front of the stadium
-Actual stadium
-Upper part of the stadium with the commentators
-VIP part
-4 paddocks with different layouts
-4 lounges tied to every paddock
-Medical area
-Flamingo Hotel
-All of the shore
-Podium
-Exposition area
-1st floor of the exposition with a work office type of vibe
-2nd floor with the roof
-Huge parking
-Underground tunnel
-Paths above the race to go from one side to the other

Bruh... and each and every of these areas actually have a clear purpose and can be used one way or another to complete your mission. That's CRAZY, I'm not even sure they'll be able to replicate that in the future (I hope so obviously).

Honestly just for that map thank IOI, can't believe the amount of love and effort this got.

Mild take : Corruption should be in the card pool for Ironclad, not a boss reward

I really feel like the exhaust archetype is just bad right now, everytime I try I think it's lacking heavily.

With Dead Branch being gone, Corruption should definitely be an option, without it Ironclad is basically Vuln-guy and that's it. It should be a rare card in his pool like in STS1, as of now it's just not reliable enough to go for an exhaust-oriented deck.

People with "anger issues" are intolerable on every level

I have zero, and I mean ZERO sympathy/compassion/understanding for these people. I do not care what their past is, what kind of household they had, what kind of trauma they're going through.

Me, and any other mentally stable individuals in our society are not some fucking stress toys that are supposed to put up with your bullshit just because big baby can't hold back emotions.

I'm making this post thinking about one particular "friend" that also was my roommate about two years ago. The guy was basically a ticking time bomb, you never knew when he would explode but when he did, he started to get physical, punching his desk, throwing his controller/mouse around etc...

One day it got so bad that I actually got angry enough to confront him, and he started to cry, telling me that he was aware of that problem, but he has "anger issues", oh you have anger issues ? First off, you don't fucking say man, second when has that become an excuse ? You having anger issues is not the reason you have a problem, you having anger issues IS the problem.

Maybe I'm going to an extreme because I'm a very relaxed and chill guy, you'd basically have to spit at my face and slap me for me to actually raise my voice, but god damn I can't stand people like him, thinking that screaming and punching your way through objects and people is gonna solve anything.

By the way the guy has a girlfriend now and they're moving together this summer, needless to say I'm a bit worried for her but I don't see what I can do, just hope for the best I guess.

Just go Royally Approved on Particle Wall, that shit is a free win

Holy SHIT that combination is the most OP I came across since I started the game. I hate the Regent and I'm on A9, I tought this would take forever, then I got Particle Wall and Royally approved back-to-back on the 1st floor, I immediatly knew which card to choose cause I had that combo in mind since a pretty long time.

If you get ANY star generation, it's over, congratulations you win, you officially have infinite block for the remaining of this run. Add a child of stars just to make it 6 more block and it's wraps. Absolutely incredible, plsying the Regent without caring about blocks was a DELIGHT. Probably one of the easiest game-breaking combo to do.

Berlin is amazing... until you get in the main building

This might be a hot take. That map is incredibly deep, the river/water part, the chill-out zone and its surroundings, the biker hideout, the roofs, the construction area, the forest...

And then there's the main building with the rave, yes there's some stylish music and visuals that reminds you of John Wick, and it's a pretty realistic depiction of a german nightclub, but god DAMN is the rest of the building boring

It's just concrete, concrete, pipes, concrete, and some more pipes. It has NOTHING going for it if you take the dancefloor out of it.

It's a paradox actually, I adore the map until I get to the main part of it, the faster I get out of that building the better, on Freelancer if a target is in there I do it as fast I can so I can actually get to the pleasant parts of the map.

That map is still INCREDIBLE don't get me wrong, but that main building could've gotten a bit more love in my opinion, if the map was smaller and consisted of say that building and the construction area, it would be one of the worst for me, hopefully the variety and scale of things outside make it just that good.

Question about Freelancer and a specific optimization

I'm playing Freelancer for the first time, it's INCREDIBLE, I can already tell I'm gonna be a complete addict, but right now I'm facing a particular situation.

I have New York and Paris left to finish my campaign, and New York has a whopping 4 targets, which I didn't even do yet, I think I only had a maximum of 2 targets at the moment. So I'm wondering, should I keep the showdown (last mission) for New-York, that way I get only one target instead of 4 ?

BUT, the other problem is it's already a yellow mission, I did a yellow + showdown on Whittleton Creek and it was okay but it's an easy map, New York is a bit more rough.

So yeah very specific situation and I have no idea how to do it, I do not want to lose my very first campaign so close to the end by making a horrible decision.

So : New York, 4 targets, Alerted Territory + Showdown to only get 1 target instead, or Paris, 2 targets, no alerted territory + Showdown, which one would you recommend ?

Imo New York seems better since I cut off 3 targets, but I'd rather ask before going for it, it will also settle me for my decision-making in my next campaigns.

Whittleton Creek appreciation post

Title, whenever I watched the map rankings/tier lists on youtube, Whittleton Creek often was pretty low, so I was not that excited starting this map for SA/SO and Mastery 20... and it's actually incredible

That map makes you feel like an actual Hitman, roaming among people living their simple little lives, having a barbecue, jogging etc... not suspecting that something terrible is about to happen in their ideal neighbourhood.

I always loved looking at my targets from a distance in a safe/cozy place, like the hippie appartment in Sapienza, and the attics in the houses are freaking awesome for that, looking at a whole neighbourhood with a sniper rigle from a window with the sunbeams going through it is amazing, sometimes I just chill there and enjoy the scenery (through the scope of a Sieger Ghost).

The map is very lively, it's gorgeous and the music is top-notch. I just adore it, probably top 3 for me.

Bob cuts are the superior woman's haircut

Title. I haven't met a single woman that didn't have a generational glow-up by getting a bob cut. It has elegance, grace, strength, classiness and it's fucking gorgeous. It is the definitive superior haircut for a woman imo, nothing comes even close, it's actually comical how god tier it is compared to any other option.

It's been almost 10 years since I haven't felt love for a woman, and it's a bit worrying

I'm a 27 year old man, and the last time I felt genuine love for someone I was 18, I vividly remember it and it was intense, unforgettable.

It unfortunately was not reciprocate at the time, it was painful but I was young so it did pass pretty quickly with time. Since then I've had my fair share of dates and relations, but none stood the test of time because I feel kind of disconnected to the women I share moments with.

My last "true" relation for example, started in April 2025 and I ended it in January 2026 because I just wasn't feeling it anymore, seeing that girl almost seemed like a chore by the end. But the thing I can't understand is she had a lot going for her, she was the funniest woman I dated by a margin, she was good looking, the sex was very good, yet I couldn't feel anything more than affection for her. And that's how it's been for the past 9-10 years.

During these years I met numerous people through my friends, through Tinder, etc etc... but I can't recall a single time during that period that I went home thinking "Wow, that girl is amazing, I really want to invest myself and try something serious with her.", it's always casual and in a way shallow when compared to what a truly loving relationship is supposed to feel like. I receive love but I simply am not able to give it back the way I want to because I simply am not in love.

I've explored options such as homosexuality - which seems like a hard no considering I'm not interested in any physical relation with another man, asexuality - which also seems like a hard no since I do feel sexual attraction towards women.

So I'm kinda lost, I don't know if I'm looking at it the wrong way, if I should search for a partner elsewhere or based on specific criterias like common hobbies etc...

Nonetheless I do remember what love felt like when I was young, and I miss it, and I'm scared to not be able to feel it like I did before because if so, I don't see myself building a true passionate future, story and/or family with someone.

If any men or women feel the same way I'd really like to talk about it.
