I'm working through my plans at the moment for my trip. Will be in Japan for 15 nights, and am deciding how I want to split my trip. I was thinking of checking out a baseball game at the Tokyo Dome, but my current plans would have me out of town during the only period of my trip when the Giants are playing.
I checked and saw the Swallows will be playing at Meiji Jingu while I'm there. As a sports fan, is it worth it to juggle things around a bit so I can catch a game at the Tokyo Dome?
My plans currently have me doing 5 nights in Tokyo, then 5 nights in Osaka, and returning to Tokyo for the remainder of the trip before I head home. I believe I can catch a game at the Tokyo Dome if I shorten the first Tokyo leg to 4 nights, push back the Osaka by 1 day, and then when I return to Tokyo drop my luggage off before going directly to the Tokyo Dome. Too much work for too little squeeze, or is the experience there worth the effort?
