My favorite part of being a thoosie is going to a park with 60 minute waits, but having a water park to relax in instead!

This is PEAK luxury right here. Can’t be more thankful for my $190 season pass 😍

Please tell me I’m not the only one unabashedly crying during the La La Land re-release?

Went to the theater today for my 4th viewing of this perfect film (1st time at the big screen). Spent the last 20 minutes sobbing (as I have each time previously). However, when I left the theater, every other face was dry. Mine was the only one puffy, disgusting, and with f’d up mascara 🤣
Can someone reassure me I’m not the only one crying in public, please? 😭

If anyone is wondering what your best bet to see the Odyssey without succumbing to scalpers is…

Lots of seats open this AM for the 6 AM. I got out of the 2 AM screening around 5:15, and out of curiosity, wanted to see what was available- many seats from that point on until now. Screenshot is from 6:01.
I know it’s not ideal, but neither is paying $100 for a movie ticket, lol.

It’s actually insane how different the quality of Q&As can be

Attended “The Wrong Girls” Q&A at Alamo last night. Wasn’t particularly a fan of the film, but the Q&A was awful. Felt like everyone had gotten stoned beforehand (on brand with the plot); the moderator was Dylan’s best friend, whose questions basically amounted to “what was it like making the movie? What was your favorite part?”
Tonight, went to the “The Rivals of Amziah King” at Angelika. The discussion was intelligent, thought-provoking, and actually gave insight into the film’s creation. As the cherry on top, they actually gave us a gift bag too 🤣
I’m no stranger to Q&As; I know their quality can vary wildly. I guess these last 2 being in such close proximity to each other really highlighted the differences.
If you’ve made it this far and feel like commenting; what was the best and worst Q&A you’ve attended since becoming a NYC cinephile?

PSA: the blackberry margarita is from Confisco’s Grille is the strongest drink I’ve ever had in a theme park

So strong, that I think it’s a good idea to post a duck-faced selfie with said drink.
No but seriously, I’m no stranger to boozin’ at theme parks and this shit is DANGEROUS.

Anyone else who took Level 3 part 1 today kind of like… wtf?

I don’t believe I failed, but I definitely didn’t do as well as I would have liked. I feel like the questions were either way too easy or way too hard. Lots of low-yield biostats and OMM. Ahhhhh.

FWIW… The Odyssey in Dolby was f*cking incredible

Have a seat at the 70 mm IMAX mid-August. However, a friend wanted to see it today- so I “settled” for Dolby. When I tell you that this was one of the BEST cinematic experiences I’ve ever had… I mean it! To be fair, I’m usually a Dolby-head at baseline, though make exceptions for LS. However, the Odyssey was INCREDIBLE, with amazing sounds and amazing colors. I’m a HUGE fan of the butt rumbles, and I’ve never seen a movie utilize them so well! (Closest would be the first Dune). I actually booked another seat for Dolby tomorrow!! HIGHLY recommend seeing it in this format! And tomorrow’s the last day!!

Instructions on how to report scalpers/scammers

Hi everyone- not a mod but just someone who appreciates karmic justice. If you see someone scalping or scamming, please do your part and report the comment or post! Even the comments like “DM me for offers” and “selling above face value” are inherently against the rules of the sub. The mods are crazy active and will remove the post/ban the poster nearly immediately.
Thanks all, I hope you all get to enjoy the Odyssey without getting scammed!

Any good (free) downloadable resources for Level 3?

Hi all,
Due to piss poor test site availability in my region, I have to fly 5 hours to take my Level 3. And bc I’m poor, I can only afford to fly Frontier (no WiFi). Any good study resources I can download ahead of time? Textbook, extra questions, etc? Thanks so much!

[Arieforce 1] shout out to all the thoosies I met in line today!!

Have never been in a place where we’ve been so concentrated before, but the experience was amazing. Convos about our top 5s, favorite parks, and best coaster elements were free-flowing. So hilarious seeing us all get off the ride, then loop right back around again, indefinitely 🤣 And I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many glasses straps in my life 🤪

Highly recommend coming down to Atlanta for your final rides on AF1! Not just for the ejector air time, but also the camaraderie 🫶

I have “skeeter syndrome”, meaning every single one of my mosquito bites turns into a giant welt.

There’s a bunch on my legs too. I was outside for < 10 mins 🥲

Is there a scream meetup or club in nyc

The ones where people meet somewhere to scream, saw this in other cities but not yet in Nyc. It's usually in a secluded area and people meet and let it out.

Whyyyyy does Disney Springs close so early?

After a long day at the parks, which inevitably ends at the MK fireworks at 11 PM, it would be lovely to have a hub for entertainment and dining (or, who am I kidding, just a few drinks). However, this is an impossible ask when Disney Springs closes at the same time as the park does!!
Who can I petition to keep Disney springs open until at least midnight?? CityWalk is open until 1 AM on the weekends, and continues to stay busy. How can we make it happen?? 😆
