What do you think happened to SCP 347 during SCP 5000?

Let’s say that before the Foundation could terminate her, she made it out of her cell. How long would she survive?

I hate how people act like over-the-top evil characters is automatically bad writing

So many of the greatest villains of all time are magnitudes worse (morally) than anyone we'd ever meet in our day to day lives, and often times even worse than any human that walked the Earth.

There are villains like Big Jack Horner from Puss In Boots: The Last Wish, Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls, Carl from Llamas With Hats, that are practically worshipped by their fandoms.

And even if they aren't comedic and are meant to be taken very seriously they can still be great villains. There is Darth Sidious from Star Wars, Johan Liebert from Monster, Emperor Belos from the Owl House, that are all by no means comedic as well as over-the-top evil but still phenomenal villains.

Even villains that are meant specifically to be extremely appalling can still be masterfully written. There is A.M. from I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream, Judge Holden from Blood Meridian, SCP-3999 I Am At The Center Of Everything That Happens To Me, that are all some of the most repulsive villains of all time and still are widely considered to be masterpieces.

Yes, there are plenty of poorly written over-the-top evil villains, but there are also plenty of poorly written more nuanced villains. What I'm trying to say is that if the villain in your story is over-the-top evil, they can still be extremely effective if you put in enough effort and cleverness.

REMINDER: THIS ROUND IS FOR THOSE WHO ARE ROYALTY BUT NOT KINGS OR QUEENS.

Here is the list of all the past, current, and future rounds that will be included in this tournament in case you want to think about your suggestions ahead of time:

  1. Scientists [Round Ended]
  2. Cult Leaders [Round Ended]
  3. Emperors/Empresses [Round Ended]
  4. Kings/Queens [Current Round]
  5. Lords/Ladies
  6. Presidents
  7. Right Hand Men/Right Hand Women
  8. Wardens/Jailers
  9. Law Enforcement
  10. Military Leaders
  11. Soldiers
  12. Other Government Workers
  13. Corporation Leaders
  14. Other High Ranking Corporate Officials
  15. Crime Lords/Gang Leaders
  16. Criminals/Gang Members
  17. Entertainers
  18. Alchemists
  19. Teachers
  20. Spellcasters/Alchemists
  21. Assassins/Bounty hunters/Hitmen/Hitwomen
  22. Caretakers
  23. Children
  24. Miscellaneous

Notes about this list:

  • I broke up leaders of nations into several different categories (numbers 3, 4, and 6) because they are a very common type of villain and quite diverse.
  • No gods or god-like beings will be permitted in this tournament. This is because the 2 most common categories they'd fall into would be numbers 3 and 4, which are already almost certainly going to have the most overpowered villains in terms of evil. I want some of the other categories to have a fair chance at containing the winner, too.
  • Other supernatural creatures will still be permitted.
  • For villains that have or have had multiple occupations, the occupation that they are most famously known for will decide which category they will qualify for.
  • There is no limit to how many submissions you can make each round.
  • The entertainers category is for occupations like singers, game show hosts, actors, movie directors, ring masters, etc.
  • Caretakers includes any job that would require would to look after children. So things like orphanage directors, parents, and babysitters would go there.
  • The lords/ladies category encompasses all of those who are royalty but still not a king or queen.
