Do these old lovebirds look healthy?

They're both 14 years old.

The red and green one had red suffusion a couple of years ago after I moved away for a few months and my mom overfed her, she still has a little bit of it (although her feathers have otherwise made a drastic recovery after mixing her food with pellets and adding milk thistle to their water) so I'm thinking going back to the milk thistle. She's also hesitant to fly long distances nowadays.

The teal one has the same temperament he's always had, to be honest. Although he's definitely less active than he used to be when he was young.

Do these old lovebirds look healthy?

They're both 14 years old. To be clear, this is much less urgent than the rest of posts on this sub, I would just like to know if you guys see anything wrong with them.

  1. Cómo aconsejo a mi padre?

Help with assessing my dad's plans.

Hello, I'll try to keep this brief. I am from Spain which might change a few things regarding resources/information here.

My dad is a few days away from hopefully buying a plot of land. We have a tight budget and due to some issues with my mother, some urgency to have a house made as soon as possible.

Issue is, there seems to be no possible compromise: my dad wants something quick, cheap and also good (with a priority for soundproof construction, on account of a highly neurotic mother). Rather than the 2 years estimate they've given him, he wants something closer to a 6 months construction...

While we've initially looked at steelframing (for its reduced time of construction, although from what I understand it's not soundproofed), he is also getting a bunch of ads on facebook reels and the like for a bunch of companies that seem shady to me in terms of selling you something that's too good to be true (bunch of modular/ytong stuff, not sure if YTONG has the same name over there.)

How can I advice him? It seems like concrete should be his best bet but he really doesn't want to wait 2 years, apparently. Any ideas? How can I spot bad construction companies? Finding reviews for these is impossible for most of them.

[TOMT] Obviously fake reddit story from a "Southern Mom" accepting her gay kid

Early 2020's most likely. I'm thinking 2018 at most, but could be 2022 as well.

Very specific but I keep trying to reference this to my friends and am unable to find it.

It was this very evidently fake (not that people seemed to catch on at the time) AITA story from a Southern Mom whose kid comes out as gay, her husband wants to disown him, and thus she divorces the husband. There is an update where she comes out as pansexual or bisexual or something like that too.

It was big on tumblr (that's where I saw it) and clearly catering to the tumblr audience at the time. People there seemed to also not be aware it was fake. (Not saying this chain of events couldn't technically happen, but the way it was told made it obvious it was a Gen Z/Millenial roleplaying as a 50yo Texan Woman)

Pre-T FTM voice assessment

I'm assuming it sounds forced. Quite concerned about my age since I believe, from observing others, that it is quite important to start young if you don't have a deep voice (which I don't) and I'm already turning 26 soon so I know my vocal chords are mid-calcification.

[TOMT] 2010's Flash game where you gut a Duracell Bunny plush.

It was a simple flash game where clicking on the body parts cut to a different png, I think. I must've seen it anywhere from 2007 to 2011. There's a good chance I could be mixing it up with a video at this point, or fusing it with a different memory involving a game in this vein.

I don't remember if it was gory, it was edgy though. I live in Spain, so idk if it could've been specific to the area.

EDIT: Quite possible that this was all framed as "surgery" or surgery-like

Can I put lemonjuice in food "safely"?

Hello guys. To be brief, I really like squeezing some lemon juice over my pasta. Perhaps not conventional, but I am quite obsessed with it. I eat this dish often, and my family is upset over how it's going to "make my teeth fall out".

I would roughly estimate it takes me about a week to squeeze a full lemon dry, to understand the amount of acidity I'm exposed to. Also safe to say the pasta has tomato sauce as well.

[TOMT] Movie [1970-1980s] Zombie movie with prom-related poster

Am looking for a movie from around the 70-80s (could even be the 90s, but I think 80's the safest bet) centering teenagers as the protagonists of a typical American town apocalypse. Even though the movie was made in the 80sish, the movie might take place earlier (in the 60s or so). It is not, as I recall, a comedy. The posters had grungy art saying something like "You don't want to take him on a date" or something prom-related.

For more information, see my previous post on this: https://www.reddit.com/r/askswitzerland/comments/1sm7nyo/is_it_commonplace_to_ask_for_300_chf_to_consider/

In summary, I appealed a rejection to a bachelor course.

-I sent a digital email with the appeal on the 2nd of April,

-Sent it physically on the 6th of April,

-Got the reply asking for the 300CHF fee on the 15th of April

-I sent it on the 17th of April (they confirmed it was received as well)

I'm not sure if there is a expected timeline for this sort of thing. All their original e-mail asking for the fee said in terms of information was that if my appeal had any grounds that they'd consider it.

Thank you in advance.

Hello guys. A friend from a Discord server died unexpectedly in January, but because their real life contacts didn't know of us, their closest online friends didn't hear about it until April, when their funeral had already passed. I only found out 2 days ago after asking if they were okay, as I had assumed they were just taking a mental health break from the internet. I wasn't close to them, but I've been quite rattled nonetheless.

I would really like to do something nice for them, some sort of event on Discord, I don't know. One of the things that upset me the most was seeing that their online obituary was written with ChatGPT, and they deserve better than that. But I'm not sure how to pull off an event like this.

I had thought we can spend an evening playing the games they enjoyed, talking about stuff they liked, etc. I found a music playlist on their youtube channel, so I thought we could maybe play that in the background too.

I'd like if we could have a proper eulogy but I'm not sure their two closest friends will be ready, and I don't feel qualified. One of the last things they asked on discord was if their girlfriend could join, and while I don't think she'd want to stay in the group now that they're not here, I do think that maybe she could join the event if she wants to...?

I'm not sure a physical meetup is possible, I think some of my friends might be able since they're from the same country, but I definitely wouldn't be able to make it.

Any ideas? And do any of my ideas sound bad? Thank you.

I'm 25, I am aware I have diffuse thinning, mostly frontal. Flash pictures make it look a bit more severe, with this hairstyle at least it is pretty easy to conceal. It got diagnosed in 2024, was on 1ml minoxidil for about a year, stopped for almost a year after mental health crisis. Recently resumed 1ml (one application of topical minox per day). That was the original prescription, they also couldn't determine (or didn't try to determine, rather) whether it was stress or androgenetic.

Does that dosage seem adequate? Is the thinning mild or moderate?
