Should we be panicking

Just received this email and I’m freaking out. I don’t know if I’ll be able to afford the fall semester considering that I don’t want to reply on loans and being in debt forever. I’m planning on taking 5 classes and I know it will be full tuition for me, but I’m staying hopeful. Does this push back our financial aid refunds or should we still expect it to be disbursed by next month?

House infestation

My house has been infested with roaches for the last two years. We honestly have no clue to how it happened and what caused it so suddenly. We’ve been living here for the last 10 years and have never had any issues with anything. We have wooden wall panels in the living room where roaches love to hide through the day and they come out all night. We eliminated all food sources from our pets in order to get them away but they continue to roam all over. My bedroom is closer to the kitchen so I constantly have to kill roaches that linger nearby my door frame and around my door. I’ve tried all gels and baits and they don’t seem to die off. I can’t afford to hire an exterminator at the moment due to being one of three people from my household working and paying off bills. I’m going crazy each day seeing them all over and I’m in constant fear of waking up to seeing one in my bedroom again. Please send any advice on getting rid of them using drugstore and other places. I currently have them hiding in between the door frame above my actual door and it’s making me go crazy seeing them rush in to hide.

Financial aid

Do you guys think I’ll get any aid next month if they do process it? I’ve seen some community colleges aren’t being sent anything due to delays…. I just want to save the money for books that I’ll need in the fall 🫪

Primer for oily skin

I need help finding a good primer and skin routine for my oily skin. My skin and foundation end up looking cakey and oily by 6 hours if I’m in direct heat or doing a lot of physical activity. I currently use Estée Lauder double wear foundation and it works wonders for me, but I want to change to something that isn’t so full coverage. I do have acne and acne scars I’d to cover up without the use of concealer. I set my makeup with loose powder, but end up feeling like my foundation separates or cakes up around my upper lip or sides of my nose.

Ideal budget

I’m going on a 4 day trip but already have all activities paid off for museums and other things to do around the city. What should be my ideal budget for those four days I’m going? Would $500 be fine? I’m just going to use the money to pay for food or just small souvenirs as I travel. I don’t plan on spending money on anything fancy.

Ecb or scco for personal item

Hey girlies, I’m traveling next month and purchased a scco for some necessities for my flight. I’m not too sure if it’s going to work out as a personal item or I’ll get charged extra for its size. I don’t plan on overpacking the bag since I did purchased a checked luggage. It will be used for personal items such as passport, documents, and other things I’ll need at all times. Would you guys recommend I use my everyday cloud instead? I also have packing cubes for my luggage and most likely will use one if I take an extra pair of shoes on the plane with me.

So confused on aid owed

So I had an original balance of about $2.121 on my account when I first enrolled in two summer courses. I called financial aid office two or three weeks ago to see if I had to pay anything out of pocket since I was offered financial aid according to an email sent from the school stating that I was given aid. During the call I asked what was covered or if the aid would eventually pay off everything. The person helping told me not to worry since the aid I was offered would pay for everything. I logged in this morning and saw that the amount dropped to $739. I’m confused if I actually owe or not at this point. I’m unable to visit the office since I get out late from work.

I owe money after being told I didn’t…..

I made a call last month regarding financial aid for the two summer courses I’m currently taking. It’s the first time I take some and was told financial aid would cover them both since I was torn between dropping one or taking out a loan to pay them off. The person helping me that day told me they would both be covered and not to worry about it. My balance due these last couple of weeks was about $2,112 and now it’s down to $713? I’m not sure if I should wait it out a bit longer or pay it off 🤦‍♀️😭 I haven’t had luck with reaching the office at all and i don’t want to risk my courses being dropped when I’m already halfway through.

Mexico City trip

Visitng Mexico City at the end of July and wanted to see what essentials I should invest in for my trip. I purchased a checked luggage since I plan on taking makeup and some liquid essentials(perfumes and other products). I already purchased personal care items and some clothing, but I want to see if anyone recommends taking something that I probably would need for everyday use such as travel hand soap items for sanitation or other cleaning products. I’m not a complete germ freak, but I’m scared of getting sick from my stomach or any eye infections.

Mexico City heat

Hey girlies, I’m just reaching out to see if anyone has any makeup recommendations for foundation that lasts for a while in the city during hot weather. I’m taking a trip at the end of July and need a foundation or something lighter for my oily skin that doesn’t rub off so fast. Any recommendations or suggestions? I’m currently using Estée Lauder double wear foundation (original formula), but it starts to irritate my eyes after a couple of hours of wear :(

Scholarships

I signed up for scholarships for the first time a little over a month ago and had a questions regarding disbursement. Has anyone signed up and received anything from this scholarship period or prior school years. How long does it take to get sent out or when should we expect to see anything if we get approved? Just curious since I had some luck with ELAC a year before transferring over to csula.

Sizing help! First time buyer

Hello everyone, I’m trying to see what my options would be size wise for domine who wears a size medium. I’m trying to buy a gift for my cousin(leggings) but don’t understand the sizing. She doesn’t own anything from this brand, so asking her isn’t an option. She’s 5’6 and 145 pounds. She has a thin build, but has slightly wide hips. I’m not sure if this is enough info or if anyone recommends a size to try out for align super high waisted leggings.

Dropped summer course

Hey everyone, I just wanted to see if anyone has more info about changes on what’s owed for courses when you drop a class. I originally planned on taking two classes, but decided to drop one for the sake of getting some rest after a long and exhausting spring semester. I owed $1,919 for both classes, but dropped one earlier today. Will the price drop down or am I stuck paying the same price? I have an appointment with financial aid Friday to discuss the options I have to pay, but don’t want to wait around and get charged extra late fees.

Help with summer!

Hey everyone, I made a separate post regarding financial aid sending a message about aid being offered to me. I looked into my account and it doesn’t reflect anything in the financial aid summary about owing. I now have a balance due of $1,900 for two classes i really wanted to take. I need some help understanding what to expect if anyone has taken classes before and been offered aid. I’ve tried contacting the financial aid office and calling but haven’t received any response yet(been two weeks).

Summer aid

First time taking summer courses and wanted to see what to expect from fafsa if I was offered a financial aid package but received a email stating that I should look into fees owed on my account. I currently have $1,900 due in future fees, but I’m not sure if that should be cleared anytime soon. I’m taking two classes that I really need but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to do so if they aren’t fully paid off or covered.
