I love that Scott has so many "Non-gamer" friends as part of Blue Border in a place as "humble" as Ohio. When other content groups are all "Gamers" in "LA" it starts to change people.

Just been watching YouTube since 2006, I've seen it happen a lot.

Content Creator gets big. Moves to LA because 'There's where business happens". Gets all these collabs with other "Gamers", and slowly the personality and uniqueness that got them started starts to smooth over as they conform to that "LA Gamer" consensus.

Scott's retained a frankly remarkable amount of his original character and charm and I have to conclude a lot of that comes down to how he refused to do the "show-business" move of moving to LA.

Also, having so many non-gamer friends keeps Scott grounded to what MOST PEOPLE think about things, as they aren't terminally online to fight about gamer opinions.

I'm going to cackle with joy if the next Shantae is her just ascending in power level with more and more pony-tails.

She's going to end up with 9 at the end and do a dance that transforms her into the cutest 9-tailed fox Shantae or something.

Question: What's the state of "DIY" repairing electric cars now, and in the future?

I genuinely don't know.

I know that most manufacturers, whether it's ICE or EV, are trying to make it harder and harder to DIY fix a car without a "licensed" mechanic.

So it's not a problem exclusive to EV.

But ICE has decades of infrastructure and retail outlets around providing spare parts and tools to DIY maintain and fix your own ICE car.

What's the status of EV in that context?

Papa Peppy's Spicy Chili Sauce is in the fridge. That's so adorable.

Please tell me Peppy cooks for the crew and has an apron that says "Papa Peppy."

Fox drinks "Eagle Slap Booster Drink"

It might be "Eagle Slop" which is also kinda funny.

Account suspended. No email detailing reason for suspension. Sent support ticket. Still no response.

I can always claim "Unwarranted Suspension" but I'm aware that without evidence that means nothing. I just want the email that tells me what violated the TOS.

Right now I don't know if it was a genuine action of mine or if my account got hacked and it did some horrible stuff.

What do I do from here?

I just discovered the Revoker and Ifrit can toggle stability assist: Can I do any stupid Super Maneuver nonsense with that?

Of course Cobras are a bad idea most of the time, however, rule of cool!

Can I rescue Nobles from prison without a faction affiliation? Just for the Relation Bump? Mods?

Just love the idea of getting massive Relation with Nobles of all factions while independent, so rescuing seems like a fun way to do that.

Edit: Specifically I want to stealth prison break rescue them

This is a bigger topic then Mina, but Mina's robust Difficulty options has exposed the whole "Difficulty is an Accessibility Concern" discourse as fake mask many wear.

Like, there's validity to the point. Difficulty can be an accessibility concern, but also, difficulty can be part of the art. It's a complicated topic!

But when you have a game like Mina, and it develops a reputation as a "Hard" game, and a game that's "too hard" for some...

AND IT GIVES YOU 10,000+ flavors of modifiers on difficulty and people are STILL MAD?!

I'm sorry but, at that point, clearly, there is no way to win these people over.

Some people just have fragile egos about video games and want to "hide" it behind a false mask of "oh it's about accessibility." when it's the most accessible difficulty ever.

I don't tell people to "get gud", but at a certain point, you gotta tell people "get help", because it's no longer a game problem, but a personality problem.

He's right, but Thorne may not be too bright. (Spoilers)

I love how this is written BTW. You need people to act rashly in order to have a tragedy. In real life, people make stupid choices.

I promise you all, I'm laughing at this more then upset. It actually adds to the tragedy. I love how many characters are at fault in different ways.

It's like Thorne learned about the dangers of Nuclear Waste from Nuclear Power Plants, and instead of waiting for an answer from a Nuclear Engineer about the issue...

He takes matters into his own hands and cracks open the reactor to Chernobyl, with NO IDEA of the consequences. This makes everything that was already bad, way way worse.

THEN he learns "You could have just turned it off..."

Open World Metroid Prime isn't a bad idea, it's just Tanabe didn't have the knowledge how to make a good one. Other developers made good ones: One is called "Subnautica".

Subnautica and Subnautica 2 all have the "Bones" of a great Metroid game.

Open World yet your traversal tools and where you can go start limited. Clues on where to search all provide progress and tools to explore new areas that let you have "freedom" yet it always funnels you back to a main task elegantly.

Subnautica is "Lonely".
Subnautica is "Surreal and beautifully alien".
Subnautica is CHOCK FULL OF STUFF TO SCAN!

Just put Subnautica on land in an alien jungle made by Retro's cracked art team, no base building, more pew-pew, less water, more platforming. Bam. I did it. Heck you can even give her a cool motorcycle or flying bike to get around like how you get the SeaMoth in subnautica.

I made a GOTY Open World Metroid Prime.

I've said this a few times but...I bet the "Second to Last" Airbender has a REALLY interesting story.

Genocides are not "one and done" affairs in an afternoon. They could die 90 years before Aang is thawed, 50 years, 10 years, heck, 10 minutes. Aang would STILL be the "Last Airbender".

It could be Minutes and it "still counts!"

It's some "Jedi in hiding" stuff, yknow?

Has to live their life like a hermit, never showing thier power, except to save lives. Spoke of as a myth that makes people go, "Pfft, your crazy. The Airbenders are gone." (Yknow just like they did with Aang).

They have to be MUCH more jaded then Aang. Aang's whole arc is overcoming his naivete. This guy has seen the WORST and knows how bad it gets. Their arc can be the opposite: Learning to care about people again.

They gotta go out doing something awesome that the Fire Nation has to propaganda cover up.

Someone is like "Could they have been the Avatar?" "No...they weren't. They didn't show the signs. Which means...one might still be out there..."

I think a lot of people forget our "lens" on Aang's story and the world of Avatar around him is a TINY amount of time. Half a year. The world is much bigger then what we see, and a LOT can happen in just a few years.

Just when I see questions about "How does X make sense if we saw Y in an episode?"

Maybe because life moves on outside of the Camera. Not everything going on all the time is going to be on screen, nor should it.

And I'm also saying these characters are functionally Child Soldiers who saw a LOT of traumatizing things. A LOT can happen to change someone 10 years on from that.

A soldier has something to focus their life on during wartime, survive, and win. It's peacetime that's REALLY hard to adapt to after that.

What's the Cozier "Observation Deck" for spending an Afternoon? Willis (Sears) Tower, or John Hancock?

Anything goes.

Views, Amenities, Price.

I know Hancock has a bar now, (which is a plus or minus depending on your priorites).

I end up at John Hancock a lot for the Chicago Air Show, and watched it remodel drastically. I have no idea what the state of the Willis Tower is.

Would you play a Post-War Sniper Elite that's Karl Fairburne on a pulpy adventure hunting Nazis in Argentina? Really lean into the Historical Fiction.

I'm just way to into the image of Karl in the 1950s tracking down Remnant Nazis in Super-Science Labs in Argentina.

We don't go "Full Wolfenstein" but I want to push into that pulpy vibe. "Half-Wolfenstein."

The only Modifier I want is "remove all flying enemies." On their own they are fine, but YCG decided to SPAM THEM on top of every already crazy hard platforming room.

It's the only thing in the game so far that feels just "mean" when crazy complex timing platforming rooms with one-tile spaces also have flying jerks buzzing around.

The rest of the game would still be brutally, deliciously hard without it.

I would totally buy, as a bit of merch, an authentically laid out player's guide magazine. Complete with maps and secrets everything. I just want to appreciate the level design in print

Got some monster tech desk clamps that need replacement Adhesive Plastic Protectors. The 1.99 price is fine, but it has $35 shipping.

https://www.mtsim.com/product/protector-for-table-mounts-replacement/

Yeah I'm not paying $35 of shipping for 2 plastic stickers that fit in an envelope.

What would you replace these with? I can see plastic like this being sold at a office supply store or something and I'll cut it myself.

This is greater problem across a lot of fandoms, but dwelling on "power level/fighting prowess" nonsense is never a good look in the long run.

"Is this character too strong?"

"Was this character too weak in this fight?"

"Avatar State is Overpowered."

"What the hell, Avatar State got nerfed here!"

"HOW DARE THEY SHOW TOPH LOSE AT ANYTHING EVER?!"

I dunno, maybe treat this shows like the fights don't exist, and consider the narrative and character arcs that bring us to the big dumb popcorn fights.

Sometimes a character gotta lose.

[OTHER] I just hope the LOTR project shares the "Small, Richly Detailed 1:1 Scale Map" philosophy of KC:D 1 and 2. You could totally tell a full, deep, even tragic story with just 4 Square Kilometers around Edoras or Osgiliath.

Here's my biggest question:

Will they do they signature KC:D Map design of "1:1 scale map that is richly detailed but ultimately only 4x4 Km square?"

Because, I want this. I want to see what a game that's only "4 Square Kilometers around Edoras or Osgiliath" looks like.

But I imagine the general public would demand it's a FULL TREK from the Shire to Mordor.
