Staying after sending in resignation

I’m curious if anyone has ever handed in their two week notice and then been begged to stay. If so, was it a good idea and did anything change?

Have you been told you’re bad at giving people grace?

Curious if any other Virgos have been told this. I’ve been told several times that I’m a perfectionist and always ready to cut people off after their first fuck up 😭. I’m actively now trying to give people more chances because as much as I might believe otherwise; I’m also not perfect.

Biggest leaf so far 🥹

I did not realize that a pole was so essential for monsteras, so even though I got this plant a year ago, I didn’t get any support for it until two months ago and since then it’s been doing so well!!

3ish months of minoxidil

Wig glues and sprays thinned out my edges and after a lot of hesitation, I decided to give minoxidil a try. It’s only been about 3 months but I think there’s a difference now. I’ve also given up wigs and stick to half wigs/headband wigs/cornrows or just leaving my hair out to breathe.

I also now have a considerable amount of hair on my face/neck so that’s fun 😅

Virgos, how do you feel about being cuddled all night?

I know we LOVE our space but curious how everyone feels about being held all night.

Anyone gotten these Thomas farms striploins? Were they weird/off?

We got these last week in a pack of 5 and each one just seems even worse than the last. I can’t really put into words why they’re bad but they don’t taste like real meat and the texture is so stringy/chewy. Wondering if anyone else has ordered in the past

Arugula with pomegranate, pear, apple, pecans and ginger dressing

This is my first time making a salad and I’m so pleased with how it turned out. Very delicious too!

Edit: thank you for the award! 😊🥹

Life after infusion 🥳

Hi everyone! I just wanted to share how I’m feeling now at 16 weeks post-infusion. Previous post here.

Honestly, for the first couple of weeks, I felt nothing and at one point I concluded that the infusion just hadn’t worked. Then around week 7, I started noticing small changes, especially during workouts. Since then? Life has been good, I cannot lie.

At 9 weeks post-infusion, my ferritin was 228 (up from 23), and I genuinely feel like a different person. I’ll summarize some of the biggest changes below:

  • I have energy again. If I need to do 16 things in one day, all 16 are getting done without me completely flatlining by the 4th thing. I no longer need multiple naps during the day and I haven’t had my little fainting spells in a while.
  • It feels like I can breathe again. Like my lungs are actually filling with air properly instead of me constantly struggling to catch my breath. I can also feel my heart beating stronger now. The first time I noticed it, it honestly felt weird, but my doctor said it makes sense because my heart is finally functioning more optimally.
  • My brain is working again. The clarity of thought is INSANE. I barely experience brain fog anymore. Even when I don’t sleep well, I can still function and focus properly.
  • I can now walk on incline and use the stair stepper without feeling like I’m dying. Before, my heart rate would skyrocket and I’d have to stop constantly. Now I can do both no problem.
  • My depressive episodes have improved so much. Even PMDD doesn’t feel nearly as heavy anymore. I actually feel in control of my moods now. Weirdly enough, alcohol is the main thing that still seems to trigger my PMDD symptoms.
  • No more restless legs or random leg numbness.
  • Vaginal dryness? Don’t know her. I didn’t even realize that could be an iron deficiency symptom until recently.
  • I’m way more confident and outgoing now. This one still fascinates me because I genuinely feel chattier, less irritable, and more interested in interacting with people (within reason because I’m still very introverted, haha).

Honestly, the list goes on and on and I’m just really grateful everything aligned and I was able to get the infusion. I still have my Mirena in to help reduce my periods and I plan to keep it for the foreseeable future.

The only thing I still struggle with is sleep, but I’m currently working through that with a sleep clinic.

Anyway, I’m super grateful for this sub as always, and I genuinely wish every woman dealing with iron deficiency had easier access to infusions because wow… I didn’t realize how bad I felt until I didn’t feel that way anymore.

My bedtime is 10:30 - 6am but because I took a cat nap earlier, my watch considered my bedtime to have started from 6pm 🤦🏽‍♀️. So, the time I was awake between my nap and bedtime was counted as “awake time”. Smh, Apple.
